Not really that weird, humans usually have some means to defend themselves, they’re also in their position due to their own actions most of the time. We have also seen humans in all sorts of lights and know that most if not all humans have some dark secrets. Honestly, it’s not a hard choice to make. Of course there are things such as great friends or family that might be more important, especially when it’s between them and animals that aren’t your pets. I have a general dislike of humanity. I know all too well how fucked up we are even if we’re good at hiding it.
