Inside Japan's Craziest Workshop - Mizuno Works!
Вставка

- Nothing is more Japanese than Kaido Racers, slammed kyusha rides, bosozolu bikes and the gurachan movement. In this episode I drop by Mizuno Works, a shop that’s been at the center of this style in the Kanto region, known for his overfender work, his small wood-rimmed steering wheels and his exhaust manifolds for a variety of engines like the Nissan L-series. I got to check out his Yonmeri and GX61 Eagle Face demo cars in detail. Hot play and enjoy!

Hope you guys enjoy this one! Mizuno Works is by far one of the most authentic JDM workshops over here and the never ending stash of cars and parts shows just that! If you haven't already, make sure to subscribe to the channel to help us get over the 100k mark! If you have, thank you so much!
@dino_dc I agree that you should definitely look into a Laurel.. that shape 😍 👌
Went to japan last October, and on the way to Mt fuji saw this small shop with an 86 Corolla levin parked outside, told my dad to visit it and while others went to those big stores similar to book off (a shop that sells anything). While checking out the Levin outside the shop, inside the garage peeking behind the Miata NA these old japanese dudes working on, a was Cressida mark II, when i noticed it, probably the owner looked at me and i had to talk in my broken Japanese. Told him the miata is cool, but pointed instead at the cressida and said “cressida?”, the owner was shocked and happy that he let me inside his garage and turned on the lights, it was cool a sight to see it being repaired and on bbs mags. Told him i love kaido culture and he was soo happy, got to love the japanese, i hope i made his day that time.
Shop was Racechip in kawaguchiko
Felt like sharing this moment here in the comment section as it represents the kaido culture i adore so much!
This is my vibe. Literally gold mine. Amazing shop to visit. So incredible 70s and 80s.
Dino, i’m really happy you finally managed to go there and make a vídeo. Besides the amazing shop and cars, Mizuno is a really nice guy. I visited the shop some years ago and he was super friendly ,gave me a tour of the shop and even served some tea ( it was a cold day) When we said good bye he presented me with some stickers! I will never forget this amazing experience. Thanks Dino for another great vídeo...as always!!
He’s an awesome guy 👍🏻
We had the honour of visiting Mizuno's workshop in December 2016 - he gave us the full tour and even dropped us back to the station in the MK2 at 14:27 ! Absolute gentleman.
Love it. Need more kyusha love. Thanks Dino and team
No body could beat Japanese when it comes to car business they are the best in the world
Only true gear heads can appreciate this shop. My heart just filled with joy looking at all the one of a kind parts that we will NEVER see again.
Thank you Dino for giving a voice and a spotlight on the smaller and indepedent Japanese workshops - these places really are the heart and soul of proper old school JDM style that so many of today's styles owe homage to. It would be great to have longer interviews if possible with the owners if possible to learn about their passion and experiences. Many thanks brother and hoping you get that first 100k soon!!!
Happy to hear you enjoy these sort of tours
Well educated. Very humble. What an eye you have through the lens. You talk to us like we are there. Not like any others that put on a show to entertain. So raw. You standout Dino DC. Keep doing you.
❤
Thanks so much!! 🙏
Its always a good day when Dino uploads!!!
That white gx61 has always captivated me in photos over the years. Great to see a full video breakdown on it.
Good shyt D. Always been intrigued but never been exposed to any good examples here in the us. This is a cool look into the foundation of that style. I dig the owners speaking in Japanese as it allows them to speak more openly and comfortably too. 🤘🔥😎🔥🤘
Dino da GOAT 🐐
That Cressida is stunning! I love classic Toyotas. Owning one of these beauties is a goal.
Hey Dino, this video sums up what Dino DC is all about. Digging deep into car culture, from the famed to the obscure, and delivering it all in wonderfully aesthetic quality: The images, the camera, the sound...and then the facts all brought to us in such a calm and unpretentious tone of a true enthusiast. You are virtually tending the flame, not praying to the ashes. This makes your channel stand out from the lot, which is why I keep recommending it to every petrolhead around me! Keep going!
Thank you so much 🙏
Thank you Dino, sitting here having my coffee with breakfast and some entertainment from you!
Almost 100k subs Dino
Right on!

GX61 Eagle Mask!
Wow, Mizuno-San has a very good taste in wheels!!
Visited this shop last year in the spring time and its crazy how he has even more stuff in the side shop and the back yard now, was able to see him again at a kaido racer meeting later on in our trip and he brought out his laurel. Mizuno-san was super welcoming, sat down with us over some tea and let us nerd out and ask questions about all his stuff. He ended up giving me and my friends some some Young Auto mags from his collection and some stickers, one of my favorite shops I visited on my trip ! Great coverage on this one.
He’s a great dude and his shop is simply amazing!
These re my favorite video going around shops in Jp... ❤
Hahaha, con bestemmione alla fine per chiudere il video 🤣
Grande Dino, saluti da Treviso! Keep it up!
😂
Best car content on UA-cam! Thanks Dino🙏
Glad you enjoy it! 🫶🏻
Love the shop tours.
Glad you like them!
Blessed by Dino's content, again 🙏🏼
Such a well put together video, was in awe the whole time!
Hi Dino, great video mate. In the graveyard, the unidentified mazda with the mat black bonnet (next to a yellow scooter) is an RX6
So rare!
Dino - great to see you interview these pioneers of JDM car culture whilst they’re still round. Would be great to ask them more about the old days, what inspired their style, what the early tuning scene was about. It didn’t start when F&F came out!
another great video dino!, production keeps getting better and better
Bro I live for your cinematic shots… that b roll is always so well placed in the video, the quality is amazing, and the music with it just completes it.
You should do a whole video of shots like that!
Moving to tokyo in September ❤😊
Good luck
Dope video!! Those cars are timeless!! Keep pushing!!
One of the most underrated channels! Great camera work, editing and storytelling Dino! You really capture true Japan Car culture, feels like Im back in Japan everytime I watch
Thank you, happy to hear that!
Good morning Dino and happy Sunday. Places like Mizuno Works are always so interesting. I could spend hours and hours looking at all the history there. Thank you for sharing some more of the fascinating Japan car culture with us.
Thanks for watching!
That black scooter that you told it's very popular it's an Honda Spazio, the first bike I rode ❤. amazing job as usual Dino!
And he also has some nice motorcycles as well. Thanks Dino, you're so close to the 100k, you deserve it, man.
Cheers 👍💪✌
Thank you 🙌
I could just geek out in there for days!
mizuno works is for sure on the top of my bucket list
There is another rocky auto and star road
Wow!! Header for a 7M in Japan!! Very cool!!
I love seeing videos like this showcasing Japanese Workshops. It motivates me to keep building my dream JDM space in Australia. It also reminds me life is short and I should embrace my own ideas and give myself permission to modify my pure OEM restored TME Evo project and enjoy a new direction with it. Thanks Mizuno Works, Thanks Dino. Subscribed :)
Glad you enjoyed it and you got some extra energy from it all. Appreciate the sub 🫶🏻
Absolutely 🤯
Another incredible video! Truly appreciate your work Dino it’s outstanding! Thanks boss ❤👏🏻
Thanks for watching!
Great video Dino!
This interview style is really nice, comes across as more comfortable than a tv show. Wouldn't mind seeing you just chat a bit but I understand that doing the subtitles is a bother. And I like Mizuno taking on 16s, they look so good on old cars without being so big that they look out of place.
Super cool 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Yaaaassssssss!!!!!! Always sooo consistent and well documented, quality and respect towards this culture and craft!!!! Talking about BOTH da content being featured(these true Artists), but ALSO DINO, as da creator here please!
Aloha🌴
Thank you!
Mizuno too OG in this game. Iykyk.
I definitely love these old school Japanese cars. I have a 91 Civic SI that's turboed and a 1987 Nissan pulsar that's turboed. My son has a 1982 Toyota starlet with twin Weber's and a 77 Toyota Corolla with a single Weber
Absolutely amazing 😎
I love af09 tact he has sitting back their by the cub
Ooof damn, were those thorns that got you? Anyway, another great video. Thanks Dino!
Lethal things lol
love the bonus scene 😂

Very nice!
Mizuno is also Punk Rock.
Black Flag,🏴,Bad Brains and 7 Seconds spray painted on wall.
mizuno eagle mask is best x
wish I could afford to send my 1981 Toyota Corolla Tercel to Mizuno-san :)
Grasias por conpartir
Wow ❤
Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. I can appreciate the workmanship and they have definitely hit the notes they were aiming for, but the style doesn't travel well outside of Japan for me. I think maybe if I saw cars like this in context I might get it.
Thats a good point, these cars outside of Japan just wouldn’t be understood. In Japan however they’re sick!
mmmmmmm my favorite cars
Next time you do a video remember that not everybody knows what a Ken Marys and Botukitsu including me. Is it a Toyota or a Mazda. One of them I got because of the GTR logo but rest of it is Greak to me😂.
I need a laurel so bad. Luckily ignition model make one in 1:18.
Do you know is Mizuno-san would ever be willing to sell some of the bodies in the graveyard? Id love to build a Hako Ratrod if I ever got the chance
I want to see those magazines
I thought that 😂😂
18:00 RX-5 Cosmo AP😎
🔻🔺️I'd guess that's where the 12a turbo came from.
@2:23 It very clearly still has a rear view mirror, I believe you meant to say side mirrors were shaved.
Yes that, actually fender mirrors 😜
@@dino_dc Was still a rad video and hey congrats on the R34!
For the algorithm
Come on 100k
🫶🏻
Please tell me you have a playlist, I need it🤩
I feel like these cars are saying:
“Just kill me”
😢
They are supposed to be intimidating if that’s what you’re getting at
To think i would rip the suspension and gear box diff the rest in The bin 240 k cost nothing id put the parts in a 1600 datto
😁
Great video, Dino I should introduce you to multiple sources of such pure JDM love as the channel that reviewed my Crown ''Athrete'' VX , Okinawa Junk Story pls see it if interested
Does anyone know the name of the honda Bike on minute 8:27?
Dino I'm coming to Tokyo in October, I'm finding it very hard to book tours for Nissan Herritage Collection, Nissan Yokohama Plant and Nissan Tochigi Plant. Do you know anyone or company that organises tours? Any help would be appreciated Dino, can't find much information online.
You just need to go through their website. It’s not always open so the schedule is what it is. Nissan organisation…
you got permission to post the graveyard? i thought it was off limits
We get a little peak. Often time they get the okay to show the "secret"
@@ななころび what do you mean often? i was told not to post it when I went
モスグリーンがシブい 壁にガーゼ リップクリーム見えたけど 😅
So japan it hrts 🤣
it's very hard to reach out mizuno works company, never replies and long waiting list
In Japan we say DQN
Acronym for…?
Too much, Oh! It's a skyline! Oh! it's a ae86! Oh! It's a supra! Focus more on the rx3 and the wheels
Man, sees notification of new DinoDC video, man click on video, man happy😂
Finally someone covers Mizuno Works, been following them on Instagram for a long time and hoping for this day, thank you Dino
Glad you enjoyed!
Do you also make a video with the Naito garage? @so_naitoo
No, not yet
