The statement in the StarTribune really takes the cake: ""Police shot the wrong guy," Thomas Hoyhtya, Clint's father and the homeowner, told the Star Tribune. "They kicked in the door, he was in the back and probably playing video games. It was his day off."
We can all see the video footage and it's very very clear that wasn't how it went down. They announced they were there, he refused to come out, he started shooting first. I guess having bodycams really helps when people come up with all kinds of stories afterwards.

The star is owned by the far left ....

He said that because his son was the person they were initially looking for. The person on the warrant was for a guy who was squatting at the house prior. When cops were there, the son just so happened to be there. The Dad thinks his son may have been suicidal or something imo, because his son has no reason to hide or not answer the door etc because he wasn't on the warrant. Unless maybe the son did something terrible that nobody knew about and assumed they were there for him

You’ve got all of these people praise and the police and this and that but they have no clue what’s going on. All they do is read and read and read you know you got a guy that’s bleeding from the nose he thinks he got shot in the face, but he never got shot in the face. All it was was the kickback from the gun, which broke his nose so his actions caused him to get a bloody nose and everybody’s like oh my God he got shot in the face. No, he did not. He didn’t know how to hold a gun and then when the kickback came from the gun, it broke his nose think about that for a second people.

Doing what work??? Killing a man who was in his home??? Really. Do you see any video of the 20 plus people who shot him. Remember they all have body cam but not one camera shows him shoot at police!!!! Look we see videos of facts but this is a massive cluster. You’ll see 10 cops on one person and everything that comes out of one of those cops mouse or stop resisting stop resisting, but the person is on the ground handcuffed and they’re still saying stop resisting and then they kill him or they beat the hell out of them, one of the other, but he was resisting Gives the police to kill him. I highly doubt that there are so many people that believe in their mind that the police are always right but look what just happened in Jacksonville Florida about that police officer. He’s a sexual predator trying to get massages and then a happy ending at the same time he was molesting and grooming a 13 year old boy but yeah, everybody thinks police are OK, look it up on the Internet in Jacksonville, Florida police officer grooming, 13 year-old boy if you want I can give you his name, but it would take me a few minutes to look it up

It's easy to seat in the seat of judgement. It's a different story to actually do the job. This video doesn't provide enough information from enough camera sources. Remember, the old adage of four people seeing an accident so you'll get four truths? Be careful about making such swift judgements unless you're willing to do the training, put in the time, and go into the field.

The person inside the home fired first at the deputies. When that occurred, the deputies retreated and their objective was to keep the suspect contained. I live in the neighborhood where this occurred and am familiar with the layout of the homes on that street. The deputy that was shot in the hand had limited cover options considering the need to keep anyone from leaving the house from the front. If the suspect escaped the house there was a risk he would take hostages. If you observe the video closely, the deputy was hit in the hand by a bullet that first went through the side of the house and then the overhead garage door before it hit his hand. It's likely there was no vehicle in the garage at the time, otherwise it would have absorbed more of the bullets that were fired. There was no way for the deputy to know whether or not the garage contained a lot of items that would stop bullets. Also, consider that the suspect had only fired two rounds into the hillside at the back of the house, so the suspect was then known to be dangerous, but not necessarily suicidal. Essentially the deputies were trying to keep the suspect contained in the house until an armored vehicle arrived. If the suspect had escaped out the front and was mobile, it would have made the situation even worse.

The deputies were trying to keep the suspect contained. If they didn't keep the suspect contained, he could have exited the house and taken hostages in an attempt to get away.
