I just picked one up and am looking forward to flying it. I'm at the Outer Banks right now and its blowing a gale for the last three (3) days and nights.
Yeah the kite is awesome! Really love how small it packs up. The old trick kites had poles to pack and they used to break all the time. Not much to break on this.. not sure you could keep your feet on the ground with gale force winds haha.
@@coffeeder I've flown it several times now and it's a blast. I've flown it in a few types of conditions from low wind to too high of winds and it's always a good time. It has good performance and not so big that it lifts you off the ground in larger gusts (I'm 200 lbs though).
A bar is easier to let go of, in a big gust & attached kite killer will kill the power in the kite, allowing for a safe relaunch. It sucks being dragged on the rocks or thru bramble bushes, just let go of that bar 😝
You can easily launch this kite in any wind. simply put the kite on the ground. Trailing wind 'upwind, leading edge away. place a small weight (like a handful of sand) on the trailing edge. Walk back to where your handles are, grab the handles/straps, and step back into the wind, will launch no problem.
@@GReviewz how does it actually get launched? My last kite had a frame, and you had to set it at upright while keeping tension on the line and “pop” it off the ground. It seems like that same method wouldn’t work with a frameless kite, unless I’m missing something?
Bought the 140. Hooked on it. Hope for lots of windy beach days in NC
140 is great for stronger windy days or smaller (younger) pilots 👍
Cool kite bro, going to try to pick one of these up.
I just got this same exact one earlier today and it is awesome. veryone needs this thing
Need to add something about proper way to fold it all up and storage. Flight #2 for me was a disaster with the strings all tangled.
is that Castle island I see?

I love mine! I flew it yesterday 😁
Do you need a second person to launch it or can you do it on your own?
You can do it on your own if the kite is facing up.
I’m about to purchase one of these bad boys. Trying to cast yarn out there is pricey but being a slave to the current means I can’t lie low.
I just bought it, inflates with wind correct? Thanks
can i put a bar on it? to train people giving a basic kitesurf feeling
Yes you can. Obviously you'd have to buy the bar separately. But yes you just untie the handles and clip on the bar.

How much?
These things are great fun!
Are you able to launch it by yourself or do you always need a helper?
If there is strong wind you can launch by yourself. Otherwise you will always need a helper. The kites with poles are easier to launch by yourself.

@@FortunaFound Thanks for that tip! I'll try it.
Where is it manufactured, in the USA?
Honestly not sure
It is, in Seattle, WA
I can’t wait
Just got mine and was hoping to see a video on how it is configured for take-off, but this video skipped that part.
Jeremy, the kite comes completely put together. What wo you need to know about take-off?

@@jeremyspencer1266 your kite is not a parafoil kite
Good Old NBMA!
Just got one from the Kite Loft in OC
i think i will buy one now, thanks
Yeah they are awesome kites! And they pack up super small.
Those are so fun
Looking at buying one of these to use the wing as a parachute for a toy hopefully it works out
Review would have been better if you had shown how you launched the kite.
Its a great pastime
Can use it like that kitesurfing
The larger one, you probably could. This particular one I dont think is large enough to drag you along the water.
I like 150ft strings minimum
China makes excellent kites for a reasonable price, thx China 🇨🇳 👏
