I have one yet to fly it ! Thank you for the pointers ! I’m Sure I will have to watch it again before we set sail on vacation lol love flying them with the kids !
Great vid I have the Peter Lynn foil kites I have then from 1.2 mtr up to 2.6mtr and I can tell you one thing it’s a dam good ride on the 2.6 so much fun and power also I have a lot of the prism sport kites I absolutely love the quantum you should have a go with one of them 👍
Took my small foil kite out on holiday last week. Not sure if the wind was too variable had trouble with the flying on occasion with it spinning and folding in on itself. Glad I watched this video though it gave me some good pointers and I did manage to do a couple of solo launches.
Yes, consistent wind is a must. I usually only fly mine at the beach for that reason. I have flown inland only a handful of times with very mixed results. Shifting, inconsistent wind.
@@mericanhoney yeah I was at the beach with what felt like a good onshore breeze at the top of the cliff but as you got down to beach level it seemed less strong. Whether it was to do with the cliff face deflecting the flow of wind up higher. It wasn’t too bad if I got the kite above that level. However I guess my inexperience was the problem I figured 😊. Need to do it more ad it was enjoyable
I've been flying the 1.9m version for 14 years. The kite is folded and pre rigged with the lines and handles neatly figure eighted around a plastic paddle. Setup is stupid simple
@@SeaWasp I mean really after flying, and how to store. Unpacking for first time was so easy, that I didn’t actually pay close attention. I don’t remember how it unpacked (was windy day, and lots going on), and there’s no instructions on how to repack the strings. Tried it once and failed miserably w a mess of tangles.
Hi A H Have a question I hope you will/can answer? I have a 20 foot long canoe that I plan to build 2 Parton for. Have seen that it is possible to use large kites for propulsion on ships! So my question is, how big a kite do you think I should use for my kan canoe? Greetings Jesper from Denmark

You will love it!
You make it look easy…
Now teach your family, it would be cool to see more in the air!
I am teaching the boys, but when flying with me they stand right in front of my chest mounted camera. The footage could have been better

Need to add to the video the actual unpacking of the kite strings, as well as proper storage for us kite novices.

Great vid. Crazy that you have 20+k views and so few likes. Weird
Thanks for watching! Smash that like button🙌
are you able to fly with it by jumping?
What is the name of the tail?
How did you get the wet sand out ?
After I dried the kite out, it shook right out. Had to be done for that day
