    How big of a wheel can you put on that has a neutral offset? it looks like the 12" you put on there sticks out past the fenders - what size can you do if you want the tire to stay flush with the fenders like a stock tire/wheel?

    Thanks for the information, I have a question, For this old Yamaha G5 Sun Classic, can you install 205/40/14 tires or 215/35/14 .

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому

      Those two sizes would be a hair too large from what we’ve seen in the past. There would be some trimming or modifications needed to be done if you wanted to fit that old G5 without a lift kit.

  • @theciz86
    @theciz86 Рік тому +1

    I just put the 4in all sport lift kit on my CC precedent. Their site specifically says to use a 10 in wheel for some reason. Can I use a 12 or 14 wheel and what’s max tire height you think I can use with that set up? I know the lift isn’t from you guys but the wheel/tire set up will be! Thanks for any help!

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому

      Hey Nick! Glad we could help you out with your wheel and tire combo this week. You will be safe with the 20” tall tire and 12” wheel combo that you ordered. A Precedent with a 4” lift I would feel comfortable with a 21-22” tall tire under there but no taller than that. 12” or 14” wheel will not be an issue.

    Great vid, thank you! Will 205/65/10s fit on a stock, unlifted CC Onward?

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому +1

      So the 205/65-10 tire is the same size as the 215/50-12 tire - 20.5" tall and WILL NOT FIT on your non-lifted Onward. They rub on the wire hardness protrusion in the passenger side wheel well. The 205/50-10 ten (18" tall) will definitely work on your non-lifted Onward. Thanks for the question!

    I have an old '94 CC DS 6-seat electric cart and I'm replacing the suspension leaf springs. Can I just add a spacer of some sort to lift it some if I need to, or do I have to have a "Lift Kit?"

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF

      The leaf spring upgrade will help for sure. We do have a 1” block lift kit that allows for more room that your can fit up to a 215/40-12 tire or a 205/30-14 tire!

      Yes, off road tire options are available on any of our 10”, 12”, or 14” aluminum wheels as well! You definitely don’t need to stick with the 8” steel wheel although that is the most budget friendly option.

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому +1

      You can get by with a 3” lift kit. If it’s a spindle lift kit make sure you get a 12” wheel or larger so the spindle does not interfere with the wheel clearance.

    So I’d be better off with a 215/35-12 than a 215-40-12? I have a club car pres. but do not want them to rub and want 12 inch rims

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому

      Exactly. Your safe bet is the 215/35-12. Some claim that the 215/40-12 fits “no problem at all” which is simply not true. It’s a roll of the dice as even the small amount of height difference of the 215/40-12 will sometimes rub against the protruding wiring channel that is in the passenger side front wheel well not be precedents and tempos.
      It’s a minor issue and quick modification but it can still cause a headache for customers expecting a perfect fit with. I rubbing whatsoever.

    Do you know if 205/65/10s will fit on an unlifted 2009 Yamaha Drive?

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому +1

      Good question. I have seen it done many times. Since the 205/65-10 is around 20.5" tall, that is the highest you will want to go. On the rear end you may need to upgrade to heavy duty coil springs (we carry these on our site), especially if you have a rear seat or extra weight on the back.

      JB,
      Thank you for your comment, and for subscribing to our channel!
      It's a bit of a loaded question, but we hope this will help clarify...
      For an unknown reason, there is a small variation amongst Club Cars. Behind the front passenger tire in the wheel well, there is sometimes a small protrusion (actually a channel for wiring to run through from top to bottom of the cart). We have found that (again, sometimes) this protrusion can make contact with 215/40-12 tires.
      *A simple 1" block lift kit will eliminate the possibility of an interference issue, and we have also had customers otherwise modify their cart to make it work.
      Again, we thank you for this specific question - because it's come up more than once now, we've decided to address this further in a future video as well.
      Stay tuned, and Happy Driving!
