If your heading to Playa Del Carmen on you Mexico trip then we highly recommend making a reservation for Alux restaurant! Eating delicious food in a Mayan cave was an amazing experience from the food to the service. We had a great time this evening, we only wish the last part of our video didn't get erased!

That is a super cool place!!! ooo... mysterious!! Love it!!
Yes it was awesome and great food as well!
@@TheDufresnes seems so! ☺
I just came from Althea restaurant in playa which is the rainforest cenote restaurant. It was unbelievable. I never spent $142 to dine for two. But the ribeye& potatoes and dinner salad entrees were to die for. We never tasted a Caesar salad this good in any restaurant in the US. Check this one out if you want a unique experience. There were even monkeys hovering above. The rainforest and water ambience was breathtaking. Must visit in playa!
I think you mean Aldea, looks nice but this video is about ALUX
@@TheDufresnes I know it's about Alux. I wanted to let others know about Aldea also. Thanks for the correction.
Cool! And you're very welcome 😊
Those Stalactites were awesome, in the introduction. Good times, spelunking.
Last night, January 27, 2024, our party of four adults and a 12 year old, had dinner at Alux. It was expensive. $800 USD for appetizers, entree, and dessert. Food was good, but not worth that price. Music was loud we were unable to easily carry on a conversation. It’s a “been there, done that “ type of experience.
Check out the info available online regarding the parasites within insects. Also, insects contain a number of chemicals that are actually poisonous for human consumption.
We already know these facts, but if countries other then North America have been eating them for centuries I'm not to worried about eating 2. In South East Asia it is common place to eat insects. I'll take my chances over smoking, sunscreen and all the crap they inject into food in North America.
@TheDufresnes As the push for insect reliant food sources grows this will become more commonplace. Which is why Bill Gates owns the largest cricket farm in Canada meant to be used for human consumption.
On a side note, you have really stepped up your editing game! Nice vid!
Mischievous tribe spirits for sure 😅
you should explain to people that its 65 usd to enter and have dinner its hot and humid
I did if you watch the whole video
Was the area dangerous? Or is it safe to take the family there ?
We never felt unsafe anywhere in Mexico where we went. Alux area felt safe and we have friends that now own a condo in the area. We just took a taxi to and from.
