It hurts my brain so much to imagine the planning required for italicized rimworld buildings. I couldn't do it with a gun to my head. I need uniform symmetry.

The cocked buildings gave me the feeling of looking at an optical illusion that your eyes cannot focus on lol. My brain was screaming. But, at times (helped with the zoomout, I think) it started to look right. Thoroughly unsettling. What not try again :^)
If you don't use "Common Sense" and "Filth Vanishes with Rain" you're doing something extremely wrong, those two mods are a must when playing rimworld I feel like, Unless you want to have a pawn dedicated to cleaning only
You can set your game up so you can't research that kind of stuff. Via the Vanilla Factions Medieval Storyteller for example. Medieval Overhaul also should have a similar feature.
Biopme Transitions to get a dark forest (Medieval Overhaul) up north, map designer to push mountain generation to the edges of the map. And then I hand drew the river with dev mode :)
Wow I’ve never player Rimworld but I’ve watched sht tons of videos on it ( heavily edited meme videos) and I’ve never seen rimworld look this beautiful before is there a UA-camr who does playthroughs with this kinda building?
this is pretty amazing, I'd have to assume you played on peaceful or something. One small note tho, I know you can only built a few blocks of from the map boarders, but you should have committed to those roads and build them outwards from the city gates.
I actually started with something like Strive to survive but eventually switched to custom with reduced threat scale eventually. Especially in the later stages the base had insane wealth just because it was so huge. Raids were handled by a squad of longbowmen that were warload psycasters (Vanilla Psycasts Expanded), that basically gives them increases range, firing speed and accuracy. Regarding the roads, they actually do touch the map edge! There is a mod that lets you change the building limitation to whatever you want. I also used it for my super tiny 39x39 map run! The mod is called "Change map edge limit"
I could never, all the editing and moving around of buildings and little edits of moving the wall one block to the left but having to deconstruct basically the entire wall to do so. Although ill probably never make a colony as nice looking as yours with that mentality of not moving entire sections of the base around.
I think the floors I used are from [LTS] Furnishing, the borders used to seperate road from sidewalk are from Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Props and Decor
love asymmetrical open plan town colonies like this. which mod does the little market stalls come from? i skimmed through the modlist and couldn't find it
I always make the mistake of building these cities too big. Colonist spend 90% of their day walking from place to place. Takes folks half the day to get to the kitchen then back to their house to sleep.
Those are from the Dark Forest biome that Medieval Overhaul adds. I also use Biome transitions and settled on a tile next to a dark forst biome, which is why you only see them on the northwestern portion of the map!
An interesting idea. But its implementation let me down, to be honest. The symmetry of the buildings in this game still plays a role, gives a more aesthetic appearance.
