When I was little, I was at Disney/MGM Studios and Michael Eisner was there with an entourage of about 20 people surrounding him. He seemed like he had no interest in mixing with the rest of us. If the CEO acts like that, I'm not surprised that famous guests do as well. And they probably come into the park for free and go to the front of every line. I guess if you're paying to go to Disney World and actually waiting in lines, you're doing it wrong.

Bit of a different realm, but Jon Ledecky, the owner of the New York Islanders, sits in the crowd with the fans when he goes to games, instead of the press box. Sometimes he switches he seat in between periods so he can interact with more people. Videos of him cheering on the team and celebrating wins together with "ordinary" people circulate Twitter every now and then. Would be cool to see more of that kind of attitude at Disney.
Bob Chapek and Josh D'Amaro did visit Flamingo Crossings Village (CP housing community) once while we were down there. We personally didn't have the chance to see them, but I did appreciate the gesture.

@@backstagethoughts But when they got back in the limo, they probably sanitized their hands and discussed how they thankfully don't have to live like that.

I agree- no one deserves their own boats especially famous people. Who the hell cares about them.

My dad used to work as a monorail driver CM in the 80s. And he told me that he said hi to Danny Devito and Danny Devito said hi back. He also said that Michael Jackson rolled his eyes while my dad was speaking on the monorail speaker. My dad also slipped and split his pants in front of Tom Cruise. Remember this was the late 80s/early 90s. Things were slightly different back then.

Because Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened first at Disneyland in California, and because Anaheim is so close to Los Angeles, there were a lot of Burbank executives and Hollywood celebrities who came to build a lightsaber at Savi's Workshop within the first six months of its opening.
I started working as a Gatherer in Savi's Workshop just three months after the land's opening, so I saw a lot of famous faces. However, because I did not have much seniority, I was always asigned to work the closing shifts, which were usually 20:00 to 26:00. Since celebrities almost always came to the park early in the morning (because they wanted private lightsaber-building sessions before the park was crowded with "regular" guests), I never led a build session with any famous individuals. However, this turned out to be a good thing, because my fellow cast members who worked mornings often told stories about how rude or indifferent or entitled or ungrateful or drunk the celebrities were. And they usually came with an entourage of similar people.
Instead, I had the honor of leading or assisting the evening sessions, which were far superior to the morning, mid-day, and afternoon sessions for several reasons.
First, the evening build sessions were at or after dusk, which meant the air was cooling off because the sun was setting. When combined with the fact that things were winding down for the day, the cooler temperatures meant that most guests and cast members were more calm and pleasant. Babies were generally fast asleep, and hyperactive kids were slowing down.
Secondly, the evening sessions usually took place when it was dark outside, which added an aura of mystery to the experience. In my opinion, Black Spire Outpost looks best at night, and it was always so cool for guests to walk out of Savi's Workshop and use their lightsabers immediately, since it was dark enough for the blades to shine brightly. Day guests, on the other hand, had to sweat in the blazing sun while waiting for their scheduled session, only to walk into a dimly-lit room where their eyes took several minutes to adjust. Then, they were hustled back into the blinding light of the outdoors, where the glow of their lightsabers was drowned out by the sun's glare.
Finally, evening sessions were less rushed, because they were very often not fully booked. This meant that the Gatherers could spend more time with each guest, engaging them in conversation and helping immerse them more fully in the story and lore of the location. I helped lead or assist several prominent theme park vloggers who wanted to experience Savi's Workshop at night, and it was so cool to meet people who actually care about cast members and the hard work that goes into running a theme park.
In all, I had a wonderful time working at Savi's, and am very sad that I was laid off due to the COVID shutdown.

Only celebrities I ever seen at the Florida parks were Donnie Wahlberg was at Pleasure Island, and at Universal I saw Dick Durrock (Swamp Thing), to me they were just people. I worked radio for many years and met lots of celebs, to me they were just folks. The only time I ever got star struck was when I met one of the Pittsburgh Pirates broadcasters, (I am a huge Pirate fan).
But I will add this, and I know it is I possible, but if I were to be walking through the park, and if he were still alive, and I saw Walt Disney, I think i would totally spaz out. I think I would just go star struck.

One of my best friends loves going to Disney and him and I would frequently go to Disney together. One day on my tiktok fyp, I saw Jojo Siwa dancing on Main Street, and a few days later, when I was hanging out with that friend, his sister said she saw Jojo Siwa at Magic Kingdom making a tiktok 😂
