    for anyone wondering how they make the bandana smaller/bigger and not mess up with the scalloping, just make sure you end on an even number of rows; number ends with either 2,4,6,8 or 0

      Do you mean end on an even number of rows before you start scalloping?

      @@user-bx2hx2ev4g yes, so the original design is for 10 rows, if you want to make it bigger you would have to do 12 rows before the scalloping, smaller would be 8 rows

    Cannot remember if I’ve already commented on this video but am so thankful for it. My granddaughters all love the bandanas and have asked for more, so that’s what I’m doing today. Sitting by the fireplace enjoying how toasty it makes the house, sipping coffee and crocheting this lovely pattern. Wonderful. Have a great weekend. I can see my sheep, goats, and chickens outside my window free ranging on the wonderful green grass . They are all so entertaining to watch, but the chickens are my favorite. We have 15 chickens and 1 rooster and they all seem to have their own personalities.

    for anyone increasing their rows and the scalloping fails to end on the 7 double crochet into the wide space; if you don’t feel like adding or undoing an entire row, SC DECREASE into the previous TWO spaces in order to end with those last 7 double crochets. instead of (scallop, sc, scallop) it would be (scallop, sc dec, scallop) for those last 4 available spaces. The crunch is barely noticeable and helped me because i was using three colors :)

I would love to know what brand yours are as I feel my scrunchies would be nicer if I used an elastic that is a bit larger. I have quite a few granddaughters who love scrunchies. Thank you. • @ashleywelks
    @ashleywelks Рік тому +1

    Can someone explain why the chain 3 at the beginning of each row was omitted from the changing colors instructions but included in the same color instructions. I am just curious as to why it wasn't mentioned and if it'll possibly change the overall look of the project. Thank you in advanced to whomever may respond to this.

    • @vixylem
      @vixylem Рік тому +3

      i think it's because you need a turning chain for the same color bc you're turning your work (hence ch3) but when changing colors you're working on the same side of your work so to keep the stitches uniform a dc was used
      i also think aesthetically the color change version looks more uniform bc of the dc instead of ch3 + working on the same side throughout, but if there's a way for u to start with a dc instead of a turning chain for the same color version then it would be as uniform as the color change version
