Same here!! I'm a newbie skater and I skate both indoors and outdoors so changing bearings each time is too much work and I don't want to damage any parts so buying more bearings for different wheels was way easier.
Depends on what you're looking for, exactly. Bullseye toe stops are the most common and usually standard on most skates that have a fixed stop, however they're often too big and bulky if you're trying to learn new tricks/moves where you get up on your toes and such, they often get in the way and stop you in your tracks. For a smaller option, go with an "All-Purpose" toe stop. They have them in "adult" sizes (though they don't say that) and "Juvenile" ones (literally look up "Juvenile All-Purpose Toe Stops") that are even smaller than the regular versions. Both are made by Sure-Grip. Skating outdoors, they don't last long since they're so small, but they are fairly inexpensive, so I'd recommend buying a few sets - the same color or different colors - as you will be changing them frequently if you're an outdoor skater. If you're just in it to ride, the bullseye ones do last longer when used outdoors, but I'd still have at least one extra pair on hand for when they do get worn down. Sadly, no toe stop is meant to last forever so even if you only rink skate on wood, sport court, or marble floors, your stops will still wear down eventually.
I mainly skate (and ride my road/Lowrider bicycle) in impoverish urban cities. I want to learn how to do tricks anywhere. I have try to have no limits with gaining new skills (even though it's harder & takes longer to heal wounds the older you age). I have old Sketcher skates (indoor/outdoor) and currently use Candy Girl Carlin skates. Both have bolt on toe-stops.
@@360revolucion8 In that case, I'd go with a bullseye (A.K.A. "webbed" or "target") toe stop from Sure-Grip. That's what I put on my Candi's (I do street/sidewalk skating, tennis courts, park trails, and hill bombing in them) and they seem to hold up pretty well. I was putting in 30 hours a month for around 5 months on mine before the snows started. They have obviously been used, of course, but they still don't look too worn down. Amazing, just because of the hill bombing alone. Where I hill bomb, the path isn't wide enough to zig zag, so I have to go down backwards, relying on my stop quite frequently. Just remember that no toe stop is meant to last forever. Certain colors sell out quickly at times, depending on where you live, so If you're going for a particular color scheme on your skates, I'd get 2 or 3 spare sets at a time, just so you have that color handy when needed. If you don't care about the color, I'd still get at least one spare set so you have them ready - and once you put that new set on, invest in another set as soon as possible. Toe stops are usually relatively inexpensive (compared to most other skate parts) so it's always good to have at least that one extra pair, especially if you skate outdoors often and/or use your stops frequently.
HELP! I was so super excited for this video and followed it to the T. However I have just tried putting moxi trick wheels on to my impala skate and it’s not working. I’m putting them on the same way the impala wheels were on before I removed them but when I do this the moxi wheel sits to close and does not spin not sure what I’m doing wrong can you help?
Thank you for your great videos Rebel! Question for you- on this video the toe stops are inserted/installed differently from your recent Beach Bunny review video. Which way do you find most beneficial and safe? ❤️
I saw a video where someone puts two bearings on each wheel so on one skate they use a total of 8 bearings. Is that not necessary or do you know why they might have done that would it ruin your wheels? I can’t wait for my beach bunnies to come 😄 Love your vid!!

All of them have light up wheels - Volcanic, Luminous, or Golden Horse - in the front with Moxi Gummy or Radar Zen's on the backs. All color coded, of course. ok but what about the bearings sizes??? sorry But Im really confused about the bearings , do all different sizes of them fit in every wheel or each wheel takes a specific size? or is it about the roller skates ? pleaseee help!!
Hi! I have BTFL Scarlett pro skates and I’m thinking of getting different wheels and bearings. What would be my best option of bearings (I’ve seen a lot of talk about bones reds bearings)? Also do most quad skates take 7mm or 8mm? The current wheel it came with the website says it takes 62 x 38mm62 x 38mm? SOS! Also, has anyone tried atom poison wheels for an outdoor wheel? Lol so many questions!
MOST skates have 8mm axles, thus, you would need 8mm bearings. Cheaper skates and most children's skates often have 7mm axles, though. That being said, the Luminous wheels come with 8mm bearings already installed. I have yet to buy a light-up wheel that didn't have bearings, now that I think about it. I've got Volcanic, Luminous, Golden Horse, Crazy Illumin8, and some super cheap, horrid, Firefly's (they used to be the only light-up on the market, they suck, I do NOT recommend!! LOL)...every single one came with bearings already in them. Just a note: changing the bearings on the light-up wheels - any light-up wheel - can be difficult due to the dynamo. Be very careful if you need to change them if you discover you have 7mm axles or if you want to upgrade the bearings they come with.
@@MystiqueRisingSun I want lights on my skates. I want wheels that light up. Luminous wheels are the only ones I know about. Please share others if they are available. I've seen shoe laces that light up (on my list) but they might be too short for roller skates. I have not looked into all the available sizes.
@@360revolucion8 The light-up laces are only good for the speed and derby style (low cut) boots. I've looked everywhere trying to find longer ones, but they aren't out there due to the light component. Only a certain number of lights work well. If they're too long, the less they glow (so they'd kind of...fade out" before the end of the lace). I did try the light-up laces, but for some reason, the one I put on my right skate always seemed to break within a couple weeks so even if they were long enough to use in a high top skate, I wouldn't recommend them for regular skate use. I keep some on hand strictly because my local rink does a "Glow Nigh" the last Friday of every month so I'll change them out sometimes for that, but weekly/daily use, not so much. In regular shoes, they are pretty cool, though. I think it may just be my skates. I use a low-cut boot when skating indoors, ones with a speed strap, and I think it's because of how tight I pull that speed strap on my right foot that causes the issue. Haven't tried them with any skates that don't have that speed strap....I might have to soon, just to see if they do last a bit longer. As for wheels it depends on exactly what you're looking for. The Luminous are great if you've a certain color scheme on your skates since the wheels light-up the color of the wheel (pink wheels = pink lights, green wheels = green lights, etc. Just be aware, the "red" ones look more like a dark pink than actual red). Volcanic wheels are awesome. They are actually a clear wheel with multi-colored lights. SUPER bright!!! Which would be a great option for outdoor skating. You'd definitely be seen. When new, I've blinded people at my local rink with them. LOL The Volcanic's also come in a few different sizes and durometers, too so you can easily find the "perfect fit" for whatever type of skating you're doing. Crazy Illumin8 wheels are a colored wheel (total of 8 or 9 different colors if I remember correctly), but they light up with multi-colored lights. I prefer them for rink use, even though they are an 85A durometer (which is good for outdoor). I haven't skated them outdoors yet so I can't say much about their durability on harder surface, but they are pretty good on the coated wood at my local rink. The other option is Golden Horse. They have White, Smoke (grey), Orange, and Yellow. The colors are just the core/hub of the wheel, but all of the wheels themselves are white or clear. The white wheels light-up white (again, VERY bright), while the smoke, orange, and yellow versions (sadly, often difficult to find) have multi-colored lights in them. Whatever you do, stay away from Firefly's!!! About 10-12 years ago, I wanted something different for my skates so, on a whim, I looked for "light up roller skate wheels" - the ONLY ones available at that time were the Firefly wheels - so, of course, I got them. I had a bearing break my first time out. Thankfully I was a the rink! I went flying. Probably looked a little like Superman. LOL Thankfully not hurt too badly (just a tiny little bruise), but I put in better bearings when I replaced the one that broke...and only a couple weeks later, the magnetic piece in 2 of the wheels broke almost one right after the other. No magnet = no lights so I had 2 dead wheels. I stopped using them after that. My daughters like them, so one of them took them for her skates, putting the two non-working wheels on the inside fronts (to use as pusher wheels)....a week later, 2 more bearings broke on her (she managed not to fall when the first one went, but ended up with a sprained wrist when the second broke) and another magnet pretty much shattered. The Firefly wheels are crap. Never tried them outdoors. I was too scared to. :( I'm SO glad to have found other, much more reliable, light-up wheels now. Also, you can get Lumeez LED skate lights. They look somewhat like a teardrop and attach to the under side of your skates - on the plate. Board Blazers are made for skateboards, but pretty much the same thing. Oval-ish shape. Both of those "glue on" to the underside of your plates (they come with an adhesive pad on each light). LED Safety Lights (typically for runners) can be clipped onto your laces or there are versions that go around your heel (NOT good on vinyl skates as they slip, but suede or leather skates they seem to grab on quite well. I usually just put hem around my ankle instead of on the actual skates. Plus there are several "light bars" - they work the same way Lumeez and Board blazers with an adhesive strip - but it's a thin, skinny, "strip" of lights for under your skates. The only issue with the light bar style is that they have a battery pack you'll need to stuff into your skates or leave to dangle. They do have a cord leading to the battery pack, so a child or shorter adult MAY be able to put the battery pack in a pocket, but it's unlikely for anyone over 4 1/2 feet tall or so. The up side to the light bar style is that most can be trimmed down to size, 3 "beads" (lights) at time (you can NOT cut off only 1 or 2 lights, has to be 3...or 6), but they glow very brightly. A couple people at my local rink have them. They look amazing, but again, I can't comment on the durability of them when outdoor skating. All versions of these "skate lights" are just another fun way to dress up your skate - for rink or night-time outdoor use. They all come in several different color options or a single "color changing" version. Sorry this was so long, but thank you for reading, if you actually did make it to the end. LOL I just love finding fun little accessories for my skates. I haven't gotten a fringe kit yet, but I do have Crazy Nuts, Astro Nuts, axle nut covers, my girls have the Schwings (I haven't broken down and gotten myself a set yet), and more as well as lights and light-up wheels. My whole family loves making our skates truly "ours". Between me, my husband, and our 5 kids, we have 18 pairs of skates...and not a single one of them still have all of the stock parts on them any more. LOL We've switched everything from plates to cushions, wheels, and stops, plus added those little "fun" things to give them our own personality.

I want to know how to change the wheels of kick rollers !!!
I just wanna know if peach is seeing anyone? 👀 her giggle is literally making my heart melt.
What about my cushions?
