Actually, I think some of those people may not be badass so much as just dumb and reckless. The horse thing was too much, why not just give him the power to teleport, it's not like the movie coherent anyway. To me it's one those enjoy piece by piece the scenes, designs and moments movies. Pitch Meeting was the best to me but Honest Trailer had some really good parts too.
I really liked both the Honest Trailers and the Pitch Meeting episodes on this movie, but I personally liked even more the RedLetterMedia Half in the Bag episode about it, so funny 😆, and they also talked about a lot of flaws that are not in these two, like the scenes that are basically copied from other movies like Aliens, or maybe I should say, that pay omage to other movies like Aliens 😂, and the fact that some of the digital cameras used to shoot this movie were old, with dead pixels, wich showed up in many scenes of the movie as white dots, one camera in particular had a bunch of them right in the midle 🤣.

I don't think it was a robot zombie. Remember, the Prime Zombie exploded in a shower of stuff that was the same color blue, and I'm betting the "robot zombie" was an alpha, made by the Prime, and so maybe got some of that same blue "zombie power" stuff when he got infected. And let's not forget the zombaby came out the same shade of blue. The blue stuff is the key.
I actually have Fallout 4 paused on another screen to take a break and watch this. So the Fallout joke at the end of PM definitely gets them the win from me lol
The last scene near the helicopter wreckage was SUPER frustrating like Ryan said. How could they not show Kate's friend's fate at the end when it was Kate's ENTIRE FUCKING MOTIVATION!?

I saw this in a theater, and I enjoyed it. Not my favorite Zack Snyder movie, the depth of field thing was really my only major complaint, but still an enjoyable movie and experience.
Imagine if the mission is actually to retrieve a chip that was designed for an android to mimic human behavior to make our life easy or as a companion , but when it turned on during the zombie apocalypse it mimicking the behavior of zombie instead. Then during the raid they found their own dead body and realized that the whole time they are the last remaining android being made to retrieve the blueprint for the original chips. But because they didn't have the original chip implanted but instead a memory of their previous life being used yet there's a hole here and then which cause them to malfunction or even unable to move due to the memory recollection. The leader is a human and he's the main protagonist where he ended fighting the zombie and his own android friend due to being a different goal where the android wanted a freedom to their own life where having the chip exist will completely making their own existence relevant but only as a doll. Ryan George : but what about the zombie? Me : they will be there.
I would be livid if I had to pay money to see this movie. This is the type of movie that needs to be on a streaming platform because this movie is way to frustrating to waste money on. It had some good moments but the story is way to dumb for a theater experience and the emotional scenes had so much of no impact that it made me hate the movie. I'm glad I watched it on Netflix it makes this movie at least tolerable.
I've not seen AOTD yet, but after seeing the Honest Trailer and the Pitch Meeting, I'm not very excited about it. All I want is a decent sequel or concurrent story for 2004's Dawn of the Dead. Those zombies are scary, the ones in this film seem like video game zombies (I'm thinking Dead Rising). It's Vegas, so many interesting things you could do with that locale, but yet they seem to think oh it's Vegas it must be an Ocean's Eleven movie so we need a heist. The fact that the government managed to contain the outbreak within the city is somewhat interesting and opens up the idea of a storyline where the government may have had some forewarning about the zombies, perhaps the virus or whatever infects them was engineered in the desert and was deliberately released by a group of people wanting to use this as a weapon, starting with Vegas but threatening to unleash outbreaks across America. So many possibilities already but this flick seems like it is trying to do too much in one film, too many are trying to kickstart universes (no doubt after the successes of Marvel) but you just have to look at the Dark Universe and the DCEU to know it doesn't always work. Sometimes you need to focus on what you are making now, and worry about sequels and further media IF it proves successful and popular. Sorry for the mini rant pal, enjoy your videos :)
This to me was a fun theater movie experience and that's were I watch it since I don't have Netflix. I can understand why people don't like it cause it just leaves a lot of things unclear like the robot zombies but I'm sure it and many others like some zombies that raise up when it rain will be explain in the other movie. What people don't know or get that Zack Synder plan this to be a multiple film.
Yeah, I can see why that would piss people off, but the conspiracy theorist in me likes how Snyder left some things to our interpretation for now. I'm sure he'll answer a few things in the prequels or sequels.
I would definitely watch this over both of those movies just because of the consistent action. It felt like a big movie where Old Guard and Project Power had a few action setpieces that played like a summer blockbuster.

I just finished the movie. Ugh what a waste of my time. Zombie movie shouldn’t be that long. Side note some of that not in focus I think was to hide the cgi. Comedian Chris D’Elia was in the movie. He played the helicopter pilot. But after allegations of him being a perv came out, they reshot his scenes with the woman that played the pilot. So it may look like she’s acting with them but they cgi her in there with reshoots
I really enjoyed the movie, but I was groaning from the start at all the stupid crap. I know it's a zombie movie, so I cut it some slack about being realistic, but some of the plot points and character decisions were just terrible. Again, still fun though. With the ones with blue eyes, it made me think of the white walkers from Game of Thrones. I think that might have been the inspiration for the zombies. Doesn't really explain much, I think they just liked the idea and made some crap up to kinda resemble it.
I think zombie movie are boring, but I guess I'm in the minority (no pun intended) when I say I really liked this one. Plus I loved the use of the Excalibur sound track though out the movie. Like when they opened the vault.
