Once again nice video. I have seen these bunkers before, so the most amazing thing to see were kids apparently having fun without their cell phones, just like the old days. PS the thing I always thought that was nice about friends is, you get the choose them, while your family is something you are stuck with good or bad. Thanks for taking us along.
I really enjoyed walking along with you and your friends! What a joy to see children exploring the outdoors and learning about history and nature in person, and not using technology! Such a great way to spend time together! Thanks very much!
Wow! what acoustics for beautiful singing. Wonder how a whisper would sound. Nice to see some bunkers did not have all the grafitti. Great history & fun learning for the kids. Good to see you & friends enjoying yourselves. :)
I know the site. I went hunting there as a kid. We just called it the "Ordinance". I never knew why until I got older and did some research. There was a video about the lost town of Alvira made a few years back, but I have never seen it.
That was fantastic. I did watch the other one you made too but didn’t have the beautiful choir you had this time. Those acoustics are fabulous. Thanks for taking me along. P,ease stay safe
Hi, I remember when you had that meetup there, a very cool place and I imagine good fun for the children to find as many as they can. Thanks for sharing your day, stay well. xx
That was great with the young people, loved the echoes in the bunkers . Wish I could of been there singing in the bunkers . Lovely , keep well everyone .
WOW. the echoe.. I thin you could make a really cool choir experiment. from bunker to bunker a echoes and also aner and question inign.. I cannot sing anymore but that sounds so super.. Best acoustic room i ever een and i know many here in German.
Cool, in more ways than one. Your mention of "more than a hundred bunkers" caused me to Google it to find out just how many there were. Answer: 149. The mom should've brought cough drops along for the little guy! He's liable to be worse the next day. Toward the end, when you were just walking, the echo reminded me of my grandma's old second-floor apartment in an old house halfway up the steepest hill in town. It had a 2-story anteroom just inside the front door and when we'd climb those wooden stairs, they made that same weird reverberating sound. That's the only other place I've seen that made that same sound: _army bunkers!_ Bet they're cool on the hottest days of summer. Be safe, Cliff!
J&L Services The Alvira Bunkers are all that remains of a World War II-era military depot that was located in central Pennsylvania. Today, they lay hidden in the woods of State Game Lands 252, just a few miles south of Williamsport. In 1942, the town of Alvira, Pennsylvania, near Allenwood, had about 100 residents
Fun video Cliff.. neat to see the kids enjoying nature too! Those bunkers are Awesome..love the sound..thanks for taking me along!😊👍

Even the whispers echo..
That was fascinating! Love seeing kids getting involved in exploring. Thanks Cliff, stay safe.

Better to have other people sing than me..

I purposefully made them find the bunkers, rather than pointed them out to them.
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 I did notice that, it does make it more fun as they have to use skills of how the terrain looks etc etc, awesome. x
Thank you for all the fine vids.

You would have loved it.
Love the singing!
Loved the ethereal children's voices in the bunker. (9:00). Kids were a refreshing addition.
Thaks Mr K. Keep safe social distance 👍👌
Thank you Cliff,

Gotta get back to this place. Especially when it's not raining.
We should all go back
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 absolutely!!!!!!
4 of those bunkers were used to store sealed drums of radioactive material related to the Manhattan project. Thanks for the video!
Great looking family you have Cliff, so good seeing kids and their parents having a good time outside-Dave
Just friends, not family
Neat! Thanks for sharing. 😎
Fantastic acoustics, better than auto tune. Wonder if that is any part of the reason cathedrals had high domed ceilings?
Most likely
Thanks for the sound warning lol
Wow they are really loud..but I agree them having fun is all that counts!! Fun video!!!
16:06 rocking the mullet. Yeahhhh buddy
Amazing
Fascinating
Cool place. Great area to bug out!
So cool
The tnt factory is down by the river. You can see the dam on Google maps
I was looking at this place on Google recently and noticed several abandoned buildings to the north east. Any information on those?
Not sure, I'd have to do more research.
I did. It was the old Allenwood prison camp.
Looks like the doors can be shut and locked.
Cool
Wait till dark, bring sticks....sneak around inside trying to hit each other......no head shots! Enjoy the echos!
Watch out for the 👻 ghosts and Bigfoot.
Can't really tell BUT.. that must be your family! Congratulations, good looking kids, lovely wife. Looks like a great life! Introduce them next time!
Not family, just friends..
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 Nice friends! Keep up the great work, I just wanted to play guitar in one of those shelters!
Those look more like mining bunkers for dynamite. What makes you think it's military.

It's a well know site, just google Alvira bunkers and do your own research.
