    The howling of GE90 engine is the most beautiful music to my ears.

    Cool thing about United is that, they do indeed use the GE90 on their -200ER.
    Normally, for the -200ER, almost every airline use PW or RR.
    GE90 is only specific for -300ER and -200LR (777F)

      The GE90 for the -300ER and -200LR is a significantly more powerful engine than the one on -200ER's. Other airlines use the GE90 on their -200ER's including (but not limited to) BA (on a portion of their fleet), Austrian, CZ, JAL, Alitalia had them on their -200ER's, Air France and so forth. It is quite a good engine.

      United has the PW 777's. During the merger Continental airlines had the GE90's

      Yeah, and GE payed boeing about 500 million to form an exclusive pact despite the fact they had the least sales on the first gen 777 aircraft.

      British Airways use the GE90 and RR on their 777-200ERs as well

    Main reason of why the spool of this GE-90 is loud and intact is because it’s one of the previous versions made for the 777-200 and 200/ERs built between 1995 to most recently, 2008/2009, when the LR version came out. Most of the first versions are that were so common are the GE-90-92B and the -94B. If you compare them side by side with the version of the -300/ER, which is the -115B and -115B1L, you can see it’s the same engine, but one is more bigger than the other. Big and wide version = quieter. Medium version = noisy and louder.

    Crossing the North Pacific Ocean is a challenge. The Boeing 777 can do it, everytime. I like the plane very much.

    You can literally see the power of the engine just by it ramping up and making a ROAR sometimes some airports put literall iron bars in front of the engine while its being started so it dont have any risk

    Certainly the Boeing 777-200 ER is one of the most powerful planes ever (well by the time of 2010 ), His brother the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is better. Nowadays. This plane is used by many airliners.

    In my humble opinion I prefer the GEnx or Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 high-bypass turbofans that the Dreamliner uses,than GE90 not to mention F15E uses

    I still hear a, what I call "rattle!" GE engines seems some subdued but the sound is there. As it's a vibration type, wouldn't that suggest something mechanical?

    • @fsricy286
      @fsricy286  Рік тому +2

      Hmmm, the flight was unusually smooth though, but I’ve never read the plane’s maintenance records.
      The fuselage is old (built in 1998?) but, I’m not sure about the engines
      Maybe it could be the microphone. The newer iPhone’s mic is actually pretty good, especially since playing back, I heard certain frequencies/growls (If you can call it that) that other microphones tend to not pick up

    Hello ! can someone explain why we hear (if that's what it is) the engine speed slow down at 3:45 ? or can someone explain the difference in the sound of the engine ? And again why doest it slow down at 9:15 to speed up few moments after ? Thank you i have flight anxiety and that could help me understand it better !

    • @Cl4rendon
      @Cl4rendon Рік тому +1

      At 3:45 the engines go from take off thrust to climb thrust - This is as far as i know an automatic setting as the aircraft doesn`t need the maximum thrust for the climb process- Saves fuel burn and maintains the engine longlivety.
      9:15 looks like not being cleared for a certain altitude and therefore holding before proceeding the climb. ATC can require a step climb and this is why you hear different thrust settings.

      It’s indeed not 777-200LR tho, it’s still -ER. Look to the rear at the wingflex as well as GE90’s fan blade shape.
