I just found your channel and I really enjoyed your content. I was so “Leveled Up” / Happy 10 years ago but “life happens”. I have been a single mother for almost 20 years. My youngest was almost entering kindergarten when I first became single and in four weeks she is getting married 💕! My girls are all grown up and live in three different states. My dad passed away 4 years ago and now my mom needs my help. HOWEVER……. It is time to get back on track and start living a new life!!!!My first step is to lose the 30 pounds I have gradually put on. Whew, it is tough after 50. So working out and “dating just me” is my step 1. After that, I will be giving my wardrobe a brand new makeover. I just ordered a few silk gowns and blouses and I cannot believe how elegant and sophisticated I feel when I am wearIng them. It is amazing just how much a beautiful silk gown can make me feel like a million dollars! Very empowering! I now see that I totally forgot “about me” when I was a full time (RN, mom, wife, then a single mom who is now an empty nester). I am so excited to be on my “Leveling up Journey “! Losing weight, wearing gorgeous clothes and networking and meeting higher caliber friends will keep me busy for the next year….. after that (who knows), maybe I will meet a HV man. For now, I am enjoying this journey and truly learning how to fall in love with myself 💕😉! If there are any other older ladies who can relate to my life…. Let’s become friends 😊♥️👑💕!
My wardrobe used to be ALL BLACK lol over the last two years I've started adding more color, even lighter colors and I really fell in love with lavender! It's my favorite pastel color, and fitting considering that my favorite jewel tone is purple.
Great video. My only suggestion is to be very mindful of your body type, which will guide as to which types of tops and bottoms you'll want to add to your wardrobe. For instance, crop tops and tops that get tucked in and belted are not very flattering to a rectangle body type such as myself. Thanks for mentioning jeans :) They are American staples of course and although I love Anna - I'm keeping my jeans lol. Mine are very dark indigo, black, or white though. I don't really like standard denim wash or light wash jeans. Thanks so much for sharing your great tips!

I rarely wear black. The color ages me plus I associate the color with mourning the death of a loved one. At least in my culture.
