New pool owner here. 5:23 solved my problem of my vacuum cleaner not moving. The filter was filled with so many leaves. Once I cleaned that out the vacuum started moving like a champion. Thanks for the easy fix! Saved me money from calling a pool tech!!!
Recently bought the Zodiac T5 duo. The flow is nowhere near where it should be. In the "quick start guide", they refer to adjusting the "flow keeper valve" OR adjusting "the valves at the equipment pad " Where are" the valves at the equipment pad"?? Thx for the videos
If you have it attached at the sideport there should be a valve at the equipment near the pump that controls that. In a skimmer hook up you can adjust the flowkeeper to a more open position. Two different connection points.
I am having a pool cleaner for almost 40 years, and now I have G3, I was very happy until it stop moving, I cleaned all hoses in the pool, cleaned the pump, cleaned the pipe going from the pool pump even the pipe going from the catcher to the pump, but the peruser is shown (0). I showed my G3 to the store (no problem) but still moving very very slowly, now please advise.
Sounds like you have a suction leak by the equipment. You may not notice any water but maybe the plumbing by the new pump is sucking air. If the skimmer works fine without a vacuum attached and then you attach a vacuum - and it loses prime then their is an air leak. Check the lid of the new pump to make sure it is on tight. Then wrap electric tape around the front and top of the pump where the PVC pipe comes in. Then hook up the vacuum and see if it works.
+BIll Baker Add a hose weight right at the cleaner head on the hose, then one at the front of the next hose and a third two hoses from the last one. That should keep it balanced in the deep end.

Ok so that 1st one you showed with the branch in it....I have 1 almost identical to that but that plastic steering wheel type ring around it has broken and now the vacuum wont move now. Not even sure what they call this particular part in order to attempt to replace it. Any suggestions ??
Sir I know the vigili and the xxtreme vacuum pool cleaner are cheap and I really didn't want to blow alot of money on the cleaner. But they both are broken now and they just work for like 5 minutes and stop. Can you recommend a cleaner. That doesn't get stuck on the steps and lag all night??? Thank you
So my pool pump doesn’t fill to the top anymore. Like I use to see the water at the lid. And my psi on the filter is at zero with the pump on. The inlet jets keep bubbling but not constant spray. Do you know the cause of this. I’ve cleaned skimmer and basket. Basket on pump also.
how do i increase suction? I have a 1.5hp motor and 25k gallon pool. Its pushing out tons of pressure. When i put my hand near the skimmer it seems like it will suck my hand in. When i connect the hose and use the pressure meter i cant get past 0. I have a cartridge filter pool with 2 big inlets on bottom, 2 skimmers, and 2 outlets on wall.
@@SPL i tried that with no luck. You know the valve with the red lever? How does that work? Am i supposed to push that red lever up? No one went over that in the videos.
My G3 moves very well, but it doesn't clean the algae. Suction is good, i even changed the diaphragm,cleaned filter,etc , still moves and climbs wall but not cleaning. Any suggestions?
Hi My Zag Splasher gobbles for a few seconds the goes into a tachycadia type vibration. Have just tried to replace the diaphragm. maybe i did not do that correctly ???? tips hints and tricks Please! summer is coming to South Africa!!!
+Jenny Maltby It is probably the plastic piece that holds the diaphragm in. If your cleaner is getting old it can start to act up on you. I fix this problem by simply loosening the head of the cleaner slightly by turning the large blue threaded part on the cleaner. Usually does the trick. I just run it loose and it works fine.
I have a 0.75 hp pump and a 48 sq ft DE filter. I only have one return. My Poolvergnuegen barely moves. Do i need to upgrade my pump to a higher horsepower?
G2 cleaner almost new, not balanced correctly, seems to be back heavy I think adding weight would only make it heavier in the back? It's running raised up about 2 inches in the front? I have a video on UA-cam if you search G2 not running correctly if you want to see what it's doing. Thanks for any ideas
I used a suction meter is that I had for my other barracuda cleaner and it was in the correct range, but it might be too much for this cleaner, i'll try setting it at Less and see what it does
Usually air in the system. It evacuates from the filter down the skimmer line. They do sell a locking device but it is a bit pricey. Some people use a brick in the skimmer: Pentair K12076 Vac Plus II Locking Bar
I'd like to take the time to personally thank you. I did not know what that maximum and minimum volume thingy was , (2:54) and I tried it and solved my problem thank you so much. my valves were facing the wrong directions :)
You can try this item - I use it in my pool route and it works good. It will turn the hoses 3 times every hour giving the G3 a new pattern around the pool. i need help asap. i want to vacum pool have new pump installed not to long ago i can not vacum even manually i have no main drain and only a skimmer i tested the suction its to high i used the reducer that come with the barracuda then the pump started making funny noises and air just sucked in even though the piece was fully sub merged the hose was primed. then i tried the piece just in the hole in the skimmer the pump sucked a ton of air again water was at right level too pump is 1hp pls help
I'm new to pool maintenance and need to know how to take apart the vacuum to check it. All you show is where to look, not how to get at the part to check it. Not useful for me - need step by step disassemble, check, unclog, reassemble!
I like to take it to another account to test if I think it is the vacuum. If you have a neighbor, friend or relative with a pool see if you can drop your vacuum in and if it works in their pool.

That's not an "easy fix", that's regular maintenance. You're supposed to clean that as it gets full over and over

It could be the nut is wearing out on top. After 3-4 years that happens. That part is $150 so a new cleaner is sometimes better.

Just purchased a new G3. We have a 9 ft deep diving pool. It will not stay flat one it gets that deep. Any suggests ?

Try the Pentair 'Lil Rebel. You need to buy it at a pool store. $195 and very good.

You may have to dial down the 2nd skimmer. Sometimes there is a valve to turn down the suction on the one skimmer.

It is not designed to clean aglea really. Try treating the algae with maybe a PoolRx unit.

My new cleaner isn’t working ! Do I need to replace my existing eyeball diverted with the new one that was in the box?
You mean it has no suction? It connects to the skimmer & not a return.

You forgot an important one. Pressure sweep quick release filter. The small wire mesh basket inside the quick release. That one got me a few times.

Can't remember why the pump was replaced. Super II are good pumps. Very long lifespan.
What kind of pump was that how old was it
Hayward SPX-1600 - very bad pump. 20 years old at least.

My cleaner climes out of the pool
