You can actually deal a 101 damage to a unarmoured opponent if hit him in the head with the nade (3 damage) and then do 98 damage with the explosion 3+98=101
people just throw them just as a joke but i heard this neat tactic, someone buy a smoke and atleast 3 people buy decoys. one of the good places to do this is on dust 2 where the tunnel to B is. Simply throw a smoke and 3 guys need to throw decoys. go to mid and go b or a
Forgot 2 most useful tips. Decoys: stand on your own decoy the enemy wont even bother looking that way. Smoke: smoke should be thrown straight ON the enemy. If you cant see them you did it right because they cant see you either. The further away the smoke is from you the more territory you can see. If the enemy is moving towards you through smoke they cant see anything untill They're fully emerged, but you can see them clearly and get an easy kill.
for all the noobs asking "what about the decoy" the grenade is self explanatory, use it as a fake flash or to make it sound like someone is at a location
You can also use it to fake that your on eco you could buy a decoy when you have glock or usp throw it then buy a gun then the decoy will make pistol sounds kinda useless but still cool

dont play cs on a trackpad if you are serious about getting good. If you do play on a trackpad, this shouldnt really concern you, as you are already giving yourself one hell of a handicapped in competitive play

you can abuse the molotov and smoke when defusing. you throw smoke at the bomb and throw the molotov at the smoke when defusing, so the sound of the fire will cover the defusing sound.

I don't see many people mention this but I find it extremely handy: Bind your nade BUY key to the same as the nade USE key. bind "buy flashbang;use weapon_flashbang" PS: If you add "use weapon_knife" between those, you'll be able to pull out consecutive ones faster.

Nah tbh just play, if you are like 12 you wont get kicked everytime, just try to not be annoying and talking only when you need to, if you are younger than that i dont think you should be playing mm yet, but you should still play in general and attempt to get better, when i was a kid in cs 1.6 i was looked down upon but i got really good just playing and then people were not bothered by me eventually, or at least not in general. But matchmaking is a bit different, people have their ego and pride on the line and they will kick you if they feel the bot is more useful. But we all were kids once, you cant be blamed for wanting to play a game you like, and playing since youth will make you all the better later on

This is actually so helpfull! I just started playing cs:go when it came free. Now i know how to use the nades and some tricks. Very helpfull and this guy earned my sub :)
another cool tactic you can pull with a smoke: let's say you know where a CT is camping, instead of throwing a smoke in ur general area, throw one directly on top of the CT. Then advance slowly towards them and come up to their spot and shoot them through the smoke. this way, theu're left with two choices, they can either peek out of the smoke (and therefore out of their cover) and become exposed, or just sit there and wait for you to ambush them
what i like to do is use a smoke to hide another grenade, like a flash or he so they don't notice it coming. But only if it's needed, since the combo can be sorta expensive

The decoy: Alternative to a flashbang in some ways as it gets the enemies to turn around, save $150 every time and it adds up. Diversionary, good for fakes and causing confusion.
bind "any key" "use weapon_knife;use weapon_flashbang". You can pull your second flashbang out faster because knife cancels the rest of the throughing animation.
You did Mirage palace smoke staying in stairs, this is a nade I've done before almost every round I was stairs with scout to make sure that I will kill them i if I don't shot them into the stomach, now I realized that when I've managed to improve my aim when I warm up I could simply just shot them in the head but it still could be useful. That nade deserve more attention. It's not that hard but could be quite useful in pistol rounds or in eco rounds.
My binds are: 4 = Grenade C = Smoke V = Flash B = Molly/Inc Decoy is left out since I only use it on pistol round. You can still buy with the E key, so why not bind it with a molly? X is for Zeus.

For those who think learning nades is not worth your time its helped me rank up to mg2 from gnm and then I stopped playing when I came back I was stuck at mg cause I forgot to use nades I remembered nades then ranked up to mge then stopped playing again cause of the second hell we call school
I think you're missing something very important in the binds, which is the knife so you can throw 2 flashes (nade combos) without delay these are the binds bind "f" "use weapon_knife; use weapon_flashbang" bind "v" "use weapon_knife; use weapon_smokegrenade" bind "space" "use weapon_knife; use weapon_molotov; use weapon_incgrenade"
One thing that's really smart and I found myself doing tons of damage is telling your teammate to throw a smoke in front of cache A main / garage or close inside B apps then you just Molotov in front of the smoke a few seconds after and if they do a rush they're kinda fucked especially on eco/smg buy rounds when the Ts are rushing.

I LOVE using smoke at bomb site B in mirage right in the open so when I plant, it is very easy to defend. Also in casual, use smoke and decoy combo so the enemy thinks you are spamming in the smoke(not recommended for silenced weapons)

I did that once to enemy t rushing out of A palace on mirage, it did exactly 100 damage though, so maybe explosion took only 97

I have seen Ts throw decoys on the bomb a little before they are about to leave and as a CT starts defusing the bomb the decoys explode killing the CT

Incendiary grenade and Molotov are two different items, they differ in cost and damage output (Molotov is cheaper and has more armour penetration).
I just discovered that the models of flash and decoy nades models are taken from Battlestar Galactica. The Marines had the same grenades
