I honestly think it did fell on the floor but she put it back on the tray. The seasoning was all stuck to the meat and doesn't just fall off. At 0:27 you can see a smudge of seasoning on the floor. If the seasoning fell off it would've been more spread and dry, but this smudge definitely has the size of the meat and also looks like the result of meat falling including some stickiness from the meat. Combine that with the fact that it's already insanely hard to keep everything on the plate during a fall. I can't say I'm 100% sure she did. But I like over-analyzing stuff and to me it definitely looks like she dropped 1 piece and put it back off-camera.

Jared pulled the Gia move. If you don't know what the Gia move is, let me tell you. In Season 16, Gia had a service where she claimed to have her fingers cut. Gordon took a look on her hand but found nothing. She was then eliminated from the competition due to her lying about an injury and being a douchbag towards her team (She wasn't the only one; the boys team).
Jared working with a cut like that and josh having stand on his feet longer than three hours I feel sorry the cruel things the blue team have gone through
Jared did a Gia(S16) move. Only difference is that Gia wasn’t eliminated in that exact episode(the next one in season 16 she was) but Jared would be eliminated towards the end of this episode.
Rochelle from Season 12 cuts her fingertip off and laughs historically. Brynn from Season 20 has a cut during the Squid Cleaning Challenge and yet she ignores it. Koop from Season 16 cuts his nail and nearly faints from the sight of blood. Guy from Season 10 cuts himself during the Lamb Challenge and screams like he's been circumcised. Gia from Season 16 also fakes a cut but at least she "magically makes it disappears"
Van saying that he'd just burn a cut he had to cauterize it and carry on is kinda wild. Then again, he watched Kevin and Dave become finalists in his own season, so I guess he knows what a real injury is like.
To be fair this time, that was mostly down to Jared completely mangling the ETAs with Garnish, meaning there was no telling when Robyn should've actually had the fish resting, because she needed to wait for Garnish to walk.
oh i forgot THIS was the service that poor michel slipped! i'd like to note that the shoes they are wearing are non-slip (i worked in food b iz long before i went full time stremaing so i know) I can only assume Michel might of lost her footing cuasing her to trip and fall over, Great recovery, and also shout outs to her for making sure the lamb didnt hit the floor, that takes some SERIOUS corddination to pull off!
I think the reasons why Jared faking of cutting himself: 1. He's running out of sisters to be kissed with 2. He missed Ashley 3. He pulled out Gia's trick from last season : Faking their way to get cut on their finger in order to not get yelled at

I’ve often had a theory about Jared on this service: that production might have asked him to have this “finger injury” moment. I’ve often wondered if, when they were first casting the season, if they had Ashley in mind as a legitimate winner option along with Michelle. I think they brought Jared and Manda on the season with Ashley to give her some storyline potential of people from her original season. I’ve heard of shows doing that, after all. And then Ashley got Jenna Morasca’d after the second service due to family issues at home (look it up if you don’t know), and that left Manda and especially Jared with nothing to do for the rest of the season. I don’t think Jared was cast to be a viable winner option, after all. So this may be a stretch, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the producers asked Jared to have his “finger injury” incident in this service, so they can have a reason to get him out now that there was no more storyline for him.
i think we all se the obvious set up on the cast, bringing elise and barbie back was because they were the most hated of their season, having jennifer there because of her rivalry with elise and so on. jared was casted along with ashley because they had a close friendship in their season. another example is when robert came back the next season they clearly put a guy that gordon would take the first chance he got to get him out to replace him with robert. but besides that i really don't think they are asked to do anything besides whoever edits the videos to try and make it interesting. i'll be surpriced if they are asked to do stuff and every single past contestant has decided to say nothing about it even almost 2 decades after

With Ashley not being there anymore, there was nothing more for him to do. So maybe it isn't too far out of the question that production stepped in to have him do this. Plus, it'd be a moment, that a chef straight-up (and poorly) fakes an injury to get out of doing work in the kitchen, thus leading to his elimination. And well, it WAS a moment alright!
@@heymistercarter. although they are early seasons and things might have changed, in the served raw specials that where uploaded here a little while ago, we see way more of the dinner service, and hoenstly, everything seems genuin including mistakes and even the lamb sauce meme, so even if i do find it weird to for him to do that, i do believe he might just have crumbled on the pressure and wanted to get away in any way to breath, but who knows, i can see it being either way. but i have to say it's hard to think rationally while on so much stress and pressure, experienced or not, you some time just want to run away lol
I don't think they get moments scripted, as Katanito pointed out, when you watch the season 2 raw series and compare it with the normal releases, you really get a sense of what good editing and dramatic music can do to your perception. That said as for casting, Gordon has said in interviews that the cast about 50/50 on genuine contenders and those that will make for good drama. He has also said that he can pick early on the one or two chefs who will have the best chance of going through to win it. So they definitely keep some people around just for the ratings, it is a TV show at the end of the day, they do have to make it entertaining within the shows style (I.e it wouldn't be hells kitchen if they went all serious like masterchef: the profesionals)

Then sprayed it with vegalene and wrapped her now closed wound with Saran Wrap. It was either from Behind Closed Ovens or Off The Menu, I can't find the story atm but hopefully it's still out there somewhere.
