20 seconds In, YES, they are worth EVERY penny. 👍🏾 MT8 Proline belted all terrain. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 6s very stable, traction is insane, I still think it will do Standing Backflips😳 (punch 9) Versus the stockers, 💯👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 also, I am running the offset hex adapters.
I have the proline trencher lp on my maxx and I have never had a problem in like a year. My cousin has the badlands on his maxx and only a hex stripped out on it. I think you should try those tires again because we have never had a problem with them
I use 3 different ones proline trenchers belted 101 75 then I use the T-Maxx Chevron tires and then I use the original stock ones which mines an original one so that's the older one style proline trenchers are good for out running around in a field you can still jump but it won't do stunts as good as the stock ones that Chevron works pretty well for everything but definitely need something with more for more stunts like the stock ones or maybe Sledge hammers
Can’t go wrong with sledgehammers. I ran son horizon paddle tires on my maxx in the sand and also the badlands but the hammers are definitely better. Love the content guys keep it up
Wife's maxx has sledgehammer tires, off the sledge. Freaking rips! Only down fall is destroyed the body from being taller and wheelie bar almost point less. She loves it tho
@redbanditracing stock axles.. they are twisted.. main issue we've had is replacing the rear hubs,.. the bearing housing gets ruined but going to aluminum hubs soon. Prob treal once in stock again. Just be careful on speed runs, you'll see the wobble and it'll be the issue of a bad hub carrier
@redbanditracing also have the most stiff springs on the rear from the sledge turned all the way up, front also has sledge springs. Still chassis slaps lol but it's so fun to drive. And it's got the perfect pass servo
I went back to the trenchers as I also had some bad luck with the badlands. Will be going back to sledgehammer on the stampede after it's time for the change as they've been super on the hoss and Rustler. Well I may try aMain hobbies tires as so far they've been getting good reviews. On the plus side didn't get answers but got plenty of backups lol
Dude, the AMain Upgrade RC tires are the best. I've been going 6 months on the same set of tires (running 9-14 packs a week) and there's only some wear around the edges due to running mostly on very rough asphalt and power sliding a lot on purpose. Hands down best 10th scale tires. Grip for days.
I’ve ran badlands on my slash ultimate pre horizon buyout and I ABUSE it. one developed a slight tear no bigger than 3mm so I glued it, 2 others have developed balance issues trashing wheel hex. I refuse to replace them cuz now they are thinner rubber that tear just by looking at them.
Stock are the way to go. My only complaint is how small they look on it compared to other 4s trucks in its class. I've tried Outcast tires with some luck too you do need hex extenders unfortunately.
The trenchers seem so much better on my rustler. The 2.8’s are holding up quite well with the castle mamba 1515, even at high speed. I’d love to see how DBoots work on y’all’s.
2 things, I’ve had 2 sledgehammers pop, one blew out on the sidewall!🤷🏼♂️ I still run them BUT I’ve been looking for something different. Also, I leveled my Maax with the shock spring tensions, I have 100 weight in the shocks and it handles the skatepark just fine with the rear springs set different from the front, it wheelies just a bit less which is also a good thing cause that thing stock on 4S is way to wheelie happy!
Traxxas gets the hate like chemical guys do. Just because they have so many platforms using the same products and parts people don't like due it feels they never truly change. I've never had any issues with either company so love them and will continue until I have any reason not toooo.
@redbanditracing well the new sledge now comes with a 15/52 gearing. You already have the m2c motor mount. I'm currently running backflips, m2c motor mount and a 16/52 gearing. Rippps
Horizon has always been really generous with their warranty replacement of things. Right up there with GRP, they just want pictures, and then they send out a new set. I've only had good experiences with H.H. and their product replacement. With some companies it's like pulling teeth to get help with defects. Ahem, cough cough Traxxas, cough cough. Sorry, expensive frog in my throat. That cough sounded weird and unwilling to provide promised warranty replacement. Tasted like hubris to me.
I agree Horizon is great with their warranty, but very poor when trying to get a hold of someone to get that warranty. Traxxas is the best at getting a hold of support, but they need a better warranty. I will say this, I’ve had ESC’s, and servos go out after a year and Traxxas took care of it.
Well said, I have a lot of Traxxas rigs , I have a lot of Axial rigs, Losi, RC4wd . When I call Traxxas I get a person, right away, every time.

We will use those extra Badlands Horizon sent, maybe a whole set was bad.
Why not Arrma Outcast 4S tire? That’s the best!
Have you tried ProLine Trenchers, or Sledgehammers?
You’ve highlighted some of the reasons I continue to support Traxxas and avoid horizon.
The biggest thing a company can do is have a good platform for support.
Hello.. can u link that Maxx body edge rubber protector please....?
No problem rcbodyarmor.com

Thank you
Have no Proline so i cant say. Have Powerhobby Defender belted & happy for its low wear in street & grip on Base a ball Diamonds.
I have Redcat Kaiju V1 tires on mine. Never look back. Love them. No pinion change.
Good to know
Wife's maxx has sledgehammer tires, off the sledge. Freaking rips! Only down fall is destroyed the body from being taller and wheelie bar almost point less. She loves it tho
Are you using the stock axles? I’d imagine the bigger tires and weight would break those plastic axles.

Where will the location for racing be? Would be awesome if it's pretty local. Awesome video again guys 🤘
Most of the Events will be in San Luis Obispo County, some in Grover Beach at Silver Spur. Would be great to have a few more drivers.

Upgrade RC so far great, sooo much traction

That’s what we’ve been hearing, Badlands used to be great. The runner is so thin now

Everyone says to try the Sledge tires on the MAXX, they say they work great. Even heard of putting E-Revo Talons on the MAXX.
The trenchers seem so much better on my rustler. The 2.8’s are holding up quite well with the castle mamba 1515, even at high speed. I’d love to see how DBoots work on y’all’s.
Dboots are nice on the E-Revo and Sledge, haven’t tried on MAXX yet.

That’s cool, I’m glad leveling it didn’t hurt the handling.
Do you prefer belted or non belted Sledgehammers for extreme bashing?
Tested non belted as I’m writing this, stay tuned.
If you run that Maxx on 3s the tires will hold up fine
Very true, and it runs fine as well even though it’s slower.

Arrma backflips on the sledge!
They are nice, but prefer Sledgehammer or something more playable. Backflips don’t seem to help backflips haha.
@redbanditracing well the new sledge now comes with a 15/52 gearing. You already have the m2c motor mount. I'm currently running backflips, m2c motor mount and a 16/52 gearing. Rippps
I am almost always getting bob on traxxas. I know exactly what you mean about that😂
Send those prolines over here I love those tires. No blowouts for me.
i have the pro line trencher 3.8 they are the best

Try contacting Horizon in the UK - you can't!
How do you guys get support out there?
I love u video’s ❤
dboots on the maxx suck, the turn radius is horrible.
Good to know, haven’t tried yet. Have you tried adjusting trim with link app?
No what would that do? I only set the end points because the inside rims would would rub on the lower arms and toe-links
That’s what I was thinking, maybe end points but you’ve done that.
