I will not argue with this, awesome video! I bash all the time. Sledgehammer tires bring the vehicle hight up ,great for bashing. The hook up is awesome in any media, dirt, grass, whatever. I have never done a track, but I would want a tire that can run on loose and firm soil. I recently picked up the Newer Stampede 4x4 VXL and loved the tires so much, I tried them out on my Rustler. It was a win. I did have to switch to metal axles because it snapped the plastic one right from the start.

Sledgehammers are nice, they last awhile. I’m not impressed with Proline since they were bought by Horizon. The Badlands we got already tore after two runs.
Can I put a 2.8 sledgehammer on my stock rustler 2.8 rim? I have an extra set of rims and I’d rather just put tires on then buying the pre mounted 2.8 sledgehammer sets. Please let me know and thank you!
Yes you can use the 2.8” Sledgehammers, they are offered under the parts list for the Rustler 4X4. Just remember bigger tires puts more stress on axles. We run the Extreme HD Kit and those axles hold up well.

We will also be going to steel axles eventually, but those tires really wake it up.

Thank you! And yes, we have body armor lining for our rustler body, as long with trimming the front to fit the sledge hammer tires.
