- Here's a week where Marathon training really didn't go to plan and I have failed to complete my training week 9. With only 8 weeks to go until my first EVER Marathon, I do worry and wonder if I could ever run a Marathon distance.

Great job continuing in the dark! I don't think I've ever been out after sunset lol. 2 months to go, exciting for you =D
Hehe...thank you. I would love to never have to run in the dark but during winter it's just not possible trying to fit my runs around work. I really don't enjoy it though 😣 Not long to go now....
Loved the more positive ending Yuenny, on to the next long run 💪
Thank you 😊 I try to stay positive or at least remind myself I should at least try. On to the next long(est) run 💪
Amazing job as always...really enjoying the series.
The length of time it takes out of our daily lives is crazy and I question myself all the time what we are doing training for a marathon 😂!
All the best and looking forward to the next video 😊
I ask myself the same question every week, especially when I know I have a 3 to 4-hour long run coming up on the weekend. It takes up SO much time. I've heard people say that before but until you experience it yourself first hand, you don't realise how much it actually impacts your life every week.
Thank you for watching and I hope you find my (struggling) videos interesting 😁
See you again after my longest run ever this weekend - 30km 😬
Binge watching your vids ☺️ Totally agree never pause the watch, it's too risky!! 😂
Haha... Thank you 😊 I rarely pause the watch now since that time 😁 x
Hi, how many jelly babies do you eat instead of a gel?
I usually have 6 jelly babies (when I don't end up dropping them on a run. I think it works out roughly the same amount of carbs as a gel (or maybe slightly less, but seems to work for me).
@@YuennyLam Thanks for the reply.
It happens. There are runs that i've missed when i've just not felt up to it and when i've not had time. Have you got a target finish time?
As a first Marathon, I just want to finish before the cut-off, which is 6 hours 🤞 It's so hard...!
@@YuennyLam As plan A i'm aiming under 4 hours ideally. But I think that might quickly become plan B which is sub 5 hours. It really is so hard and I hadn't accounted for how much the training takes over your life.
@@J_bixby Just completing a Marathon is a massive achievement in itself. Sub 4, 5 or 6 hours is an amazing time. And goodness me - it takes up SO much time, effort and planning. I didn't think it was going to take over so much of my life, but I'm determined to do this. Is this going to be your first one too?
@@YuennyLam yeah first attempt at the full 26.2. Have done loads of half marathons but until now have been a bit nervous of the distance. Fuelling will be key on race day. I've been trying out different gels to see what works.
Well done for committing to the full distance. The crazy decisions we make in life 😄 I've only ever run one official Half Marathon and in training I've done some more but not really that many. I'm super nervous and really just want to complete it. When is yours?
