African Americans for the most part got extremely convoluted perceptions about Africa & Africans..And this's why when many Africans move to the US, they kind of stay away from them. Not because we don't like them but because most have very closed minds about us & only got a mindset that is diametrically opposed to us building kinship. They've been fed FALSEHOOD about Africa for centuries..Western media too alienated them from generating interest in Africa because of focusing only on negative depiction of Africa. UA-cam has really opened up the real TRUTH before their eyes..It has shown thriving cities, Africans getting on with their lives just as normal as anywhere else in the world...UA-cam has shown both rich, middle class & poor Africans. It has also shown them how we are developing our own countries..

I am a Kenyan living in Dallas Texas and I love the content … what most people don’t realize is that Kenyans back home have not interacted a lot with African Americans…people back home adore the black culture and they try to emulate that culture … most people don’t know the negatives that are propagated by the media here in america against African Americans

As a Cameroonian (on the western side of the continent), I was expecting the responses from Kenyans to at least make some reference to former US President, Barack Obama whose father was Kenyan too and to then explain that we're closer than they realize. All Black people come from Africa and for me an accent should not separate us because the world just ridicules us the same whether we are in Africa, Europe or the US - we are just Black to them. Our petty squabbles and divisions only work to serve them and we must stand together always.
But Barack Obama has direct roots here in Kenya. His father is Kenyan. Its not the same .

I am South African ,my fascination with this couple that is reacting to this video is that i see Africa in them .The guy looks like a Northen Nigerian or an East African . The lady looks like a Bantu African meaning her facial features are so common in Africa ,you see it anywhere on the continent especially south of the equater ,but she also resembles none Bantus like some tribes in Ghana or Igbos of Nigeria. You guys and us are one ,400 years of seperation did nothing to destroy us.

Malcolm became woke when he visited Kenya and interacted with the mama(freedom fighter and Piu Gama Pinto) hence the nationalists like the Black Panther started to adopt kikuyus name i.e Kamau etc. Kenya Is the cradle of mankind, even the president reiterated this in 2023. everyone is welcome and there's no visa required.
I grew up in New York and i still have the Brooklyn accent so here in South Africa my Black American clients prefer to deal with me than any other person in the office.

As Kenyans we are friendly and welcoming. From my interactions with some black Americans I think many of them are paranoid about Africa. One of them said to me he cannot visit Africa because he will be drugged, robbed and killed 😢 he said that our young people wake up every morning to scam people and rob them because of poverty....he seemed to know more about my country than I did...if you look at marriages between Africans and Americans, you are more likely to find interracial marriages between Africans and Caucasians as opposed to Black American to African.
I think the American black community needs more education about Africa. On the other hand the ones that have experienced Africa, love it in Africa.
On the other hand i know some Kenyans who could never visit America because of the gun violence and all the freedoms in America like gay marriages yet we know that's not really how America is, so the media can really shape negative or positive perceptions regarding places or people

From Rock to Rap, Jazz, Techno. Pop and Drill are integrated into music all over the world, for example they are mixed with traditional sounds in Latinamerica, Westasia, etc. It blows my mind.

The Liberian situation was a little complicated. A good amount of the AAs that went back to African died before reaching. Once they got there, the saw tribes selling Africans, and that started the conflict/s. Look up Liberia in the 1950s. Liberia was as modern as any country in the world during that time. Africans from all over went there for education, so there were positives. AAs didn't go there to colonize Liberia, and the history needs to be re-explained in the proper manor. Also Mzungu means white man
FYI - Five star Hotels in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia provide wash cloths. All people in the countries already mentioned use wash cloths or flannels I think in the US there would be more white people than black people using wash cloths.

I’m a white woman, nearly 60, from Scotland. From a young age I remember my parents listening to Brook Benton, Nat King Cole, Aretha Franklin, Louis Armstrong, The Platters etc. I still enjoy listening to them to this day but I also like listening to Old Skool rap and hip hop (and many other genres) but I do agree with you, a lot of rap does promote a lot of violence which I do think youngsters could be negatively influenced by and may also promote a negative view of the black American culture. Songs, their accompanying videos and negative press will spread further and faster than positive ones unfortunately
Hey watching this from Kenya. Just wanted to say we really really love RnB music here. They still play old Usher, Whitney, Brandy, Monica, Boyz II Men, Jagged Edge music on radio. I feel that hip hop is just too big to ignore. And the negativity it portrays about black people sticks cause negativity will always override positivity

I always says as a Liberian that our country would be better than it's and we could prevent the civil war if only the black Americans would prority educating the natives they met, treating them well and giving them more opportunities to develop their lives this wouldn't have jeopardize our country. American African can be prosperous in various sector, but they should know that if Africa can not get her dignity among continent they too will still be disrespected in America; this is the fact. Africa need you all here in every sector to change the perspective of the continent. Comes with your knowledge with love in regards to changing the negative character of Africa. African American ancestors came from west Africa typically Nigeria and Ghana,, but they keep saying this is their origin. They lack knowledge about the topic
How will you know what we like knowledge of. We all know all humans originated in Africa. What you don't know is that Black Americans arrived in this land way before any slave ships
West and Central Africa but not exclusively so. Some even have Malagasy dna from Malagasy who were enslaved. People were also enslaved from Mozambique and surrounding areas but most of them were sent to French colonies like St Domingue/Haiti or sold at the Cape and then further on.
So west Africa is in America, what are you saying, by saying its here, we mean here in Africa

He said that Black Americans don't like us. There has been this talk about Africans hating African Americans. It is simply not true.

James Brown "Father of black music" comes to Lagos, Nigeria in 1970 and he is received like a king.
Then we have Muhamad Ali match with George Forman in DRC Congo doing "Rumble in the Jungle". The year was 1975.
In the Eighties we had the musicians like "Donner Summer", "and cool and the Gang". At that time the late Michael Jackson was trying to perfect his game.
These are the songs that would play in our radios and movie theatres.
For soap operas, we had "Good times". Remember James Walker? The one of "Dynamite?". And then "Different strokes". Gary Coleman and his friends.
I am sorry that he ended up suing his parents.
Those soap operas were interesting because they portrayed people who looked like us.

I encourage everybody who's looking to move to Africa or already living on the continent to do your DNA testing not with T3 and me not with ancestry but do it with African ancestry one of the things that I noticed is that a lot of black people will go do testing with white people as if you think that their results is going to be better go to people who have your interests at heart go to African ancestry and find out what tribe you actually come from not what region but the actual tribe and then go from there

In our (Liberian 🇱🇷) history the American Colonization Society brought free slaves to Liberia from these settlements in the U.S.: Maryland, Louisiana, Mississippi and etc. This migration started from 1820s and Liberia gain her independence from the Americans Colonization Society on July 26, 1847. African Americans are credited for settling-up the state hood of Liberia. They've provided the highest number of presidents (99/%) of the presidency.Therefore, we (Liberians) hold them responsible for the failing of the state. Out of the uh 25 Liberian presidents only three who are native and the newly president elect. The problems we have with them is manly concern with marginalization in all sectors and a weak foundation of our country. Most of them are thieves and didn't priority the developments in the nation up to today. They only embezzle the resources out of the country. Their rules is what makes Liberia to be one of the courrupt country in all government sector with no trust from the citizens towards government officials today. It's from this that the new government elected last year have been promising that they will audit the present government by enabling the citizens to change their thoughts of public officials and bringing public dignity to Liberian public institution as they take their seat on January 22nd, this year. What the brother from Liberia who was interviewed is saying about African Americans lacking of Culture in Liberians perspectives is generally about life styles, family relationships such as discipline, and the outcome of the slave trip. The negative impact it brought on Africans American. So far these are some of the problems we have with Americo-Liberians. Unification is strongly working now!

I was going to Kenya but a Zambian girlfriend told ne it was dangerous. She sent me a Kenyan government advisory web page. I knew nothing about Kenya but safaris. Don't wear jewelry, don't go out at night. Don't go out a lone always be very vigilant. Too intense for me. I've been in Egypt for almost 2 years laid back no worries. Kenyan people got angry that I made a comment about their government advisory warning,
What they don't tell you in America when they say come to the motherland. Is Africans do not trust each other. I was gonna hire an Ethiopian maid and was told not to do it they steal and are trouble makers. I was like what? Then was told to trust no Africans, not just by one person from one country.
