Hi! Congratulations for passing, can I know what study resources did you use for math?
I pass my chspe when i was 14
this vid was sooo helpful Ive been thinking abt taking the chspe for a while now. By any chance are u planning to transfer to a 4 year university and how that process is like?
I personally think the CHSPE is great for students who want to go to a community college and then transfer to a university, so 2 years of community college and 2 years of university (you save so much money this way)!!
Definitely talk to school counselors because every school/process of transfer is different!
Hello! I have a few questions if you don’t mind answering? Great video by the way. 🙌
Was there a limit to how many people could register for the exam?
How would you describe the difficulty of both sections of the CHSPE? If you can remember, does Mometrix cover all of the specific subjects in the exams?
Thank you! I hope everything is going well for you. This all sounds awesome.
Hi!
There was not a limit when I registered. There are usually many locations available for the CHSPE, so not everyone is going to one place (except during COVID).
The CHSPE exam was not difficult and I don’t think it is difficult if you have done okay/pretty well throughout middle school and high school.
Mometrix did a good job of covering the important topics. But obviously no study guide is going to specifically or completely cover what was in the exam.
Highly recommended talking as much practice exams as you can. Hope all goes well for you! 😊
@@sahil-maryam Thank you so much!
Hi! I just heard about CHSPE today and i’m really interested in taking it but I don’t really know much about it. I’m going through the same situation you had in high school. I already have my career in mind and I wanna leave high school because it’s just not for me and it feels as though I am also wasting my time staying there when I can have the chance to apply to community college and get my degree. The main thing I am really confused about it is when I can register for the exam and what month I am allowed to take it. Also, do you know if the test is conducted online or would I have to go to one of the testing sites?
Hi!! I’m so glad to hear that you came across the CHSPE. The test dates are usually in February, June and October. The requirements is that you either be (1) 16 years old or (2) will finish your second semester of 10th year by the time you take the test. The test are conducted in-person only, you would have to choose a site, you can choose one closest to you if you sign up and register early! I suggest you update yourself on the upcoming test date (October) by frequently checking the official website ( www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/sp/ ).
Hope this helps, best wishes!
@@sahil-maryam Hi again! I’m 16 now and I just started my second week of junior year. I was looking at the information on the website using the link you gave me, but I can’t seem to find any of when I can register for the test or when or where I can buy the test and I want to claim one since it sells out really quick.
Thank you for the help and Congratulations!
@@michelle9234 hi, sorry the CHSPE website has changed by a lot since the time I have taken it. I know that they will update it soon for the October testing, as it is not open yet. Please keep regularly checking, or even ask your school counselor about it as they often can get you registered!
@@sahil-maryam Oh okay! I’ll be seeing my counselor next week to talk about it. She is actually really supportive of my decision and was the one that told me about it after she found out that I am motivated to leave high school early to obtain my associates degree and eventually go on to medical school to pursue a career as a travel nurse in the future. I will ask her if she can register me for the chspe exam. Thank you a lot! I appreciate your help!
@@michelle9234 amazing. Happy to help! Best of luck with your future endeavors!!
II recently just passed my exam. I’m in the process of transferring to a community college and they ask for an official score report from CHSPE. However, I don’t seem to know how to get another copy. Do you mind helping me?
Hey, do you still have your score report or certificate, it should have come in the mail? I suggest making a copy of it. Or, you can take a picture/scan of it and send it to your community college through email. Hope that helps.
How long do you think a person should study to pass
This depends entirely on your own study habits. If you know the material then all you need is to refresh. If you don't know the material then you have to learn it.
How do you buy the ticket and is the website down
Hi! I think the website is down 😢 I don’t think they are offering the CHSPE anymore
Hi can I do the exam at 16 and after get a job?
To explain it better i dropped out because of personal reasons and I want to get a job but I heard I need to be in school to get a job and I found out about this and I am wondering if I do the exam and pass could I use it to start working?
What do you need to know for math?
The CHSPE website specifies each test section. I highly recommened checking it out www.chspe.org/_files/ugd/21e997_1c41c8c9ad454884a23c8bdb256d2231.pdf
Do you have tips to study for the English section
I used the Mometrix study guide!
How did you check results online
It seems like the CHSPE process of registration has changed a bit since the time I took it.
But what I did was make an account with the official CHSPE website when I registered and under that account I was able to view my results like 2-4 weeks after I took my exam.
Hi do you have any resources for studying the english portion?
also what is the essay portion like? was it like write a persuasive essay? or is it more open ended?
@@matthewyi5317 so the essay part, all you need to do is write an intro paragraph, 3 body paragraphs and a conclusion. Make sure you have topic sentences and concluding sentences for each paragraph & you’ll do perfect!!! The prompt they give you is usually a question like “should we have playgrounds in every neighborhood?” And you say yes or no and why. Hope that helps
Yes! Just search up free CHSPE English study guide. Take lots of random English tests that you find online for free.
Mometrix offers a lot of free videos on UA-cam that covers content from the CHSPE. Hope this helps and happy studying!
Hey i have a question im taking it in june, around how many question you have to get it right for each part to pass the whole exam
Hey I’m also taking it in June, I failed the math but my sister passed with exactly 350. The math section is 28/50 questions correct to pass, not sure about the rest
Check this page out, the CHSPE website provides specifications. Hope it helps!
