      The previous comments are all correct. Glass is an excellent conductor of heat in that it absorbs and releases heat at a high rate. Ceramics do the same thing at a much slower rate.

      And it broke up because it was just minced meat. Burgers need a binding agent to prevent them breaking up. I always use a recipe that includes minced onions and cream crackers blitzed in a food processor, plus eggs to bind the mixture. If those ingredients had been included, then 750 grams of mince would probably have been enough. And the burgers would have tasted mypuch better.

    • @josephine2985
      @josephine2985 5 років тому +7

      I dont think he was talking about his own gender but about whether its a male or female lemon fruit.
      And while i dont know whether thats a thing with lemons, i
      I know that it is with peppers (sweet bell peppers).
      There the female ones have four "sections"(these slight ridges on the outside) and taste sweeter than the male ones which usually only have 2-3" sections" and have a more bitter taste to them.

    • @kateschroeder7298
      @kateschroeder7298 5 років тому +2

      @@josephine2985 there is no such thing as male or female fruit, as the gender belongs to the flower of the plant. If anything, peppers are hermaphroditic, as they are produced from flowers that have both male and female parts.
      The part about flavor is also an old wives tale, rooted in that peppers with 4 bumps have more seeds, which is better for seed collection (and thus more reproduction, a trait commonly seen as female). But that is only because the 4 bump peppers are larger, not due to any difference from the 3 bump peppers.

    For the dome rice, in mine and many households, you put rice in a whatever size bowl, pat it down, flip it over and ta da! Hope this helps as a money saver.

    Don't know if you knew, but you can see your tripod in the reflection of the oven. I don't think that's ever happened before LOL that's what makes UA-cam great!

    Funny thing, just befor I started watching this video, my father talked about wanting some kind of round form to make eggs in, because others he used have been a bit shait. I showed him when you demostrated the "Froaching" and I might have to buy one now.

    When I worked the food line at McDonald's when I was 15 I used an industrial version of the froach egg thingy to make the round egg that they put on Egg McMuffins.

    For the rice gadget, an easy way to get a full circle without risking the overload would be to boil 2 half circles separately and put them together after they're done.

      For the slicer gadgets, the lettuce isn't smooth or hard enough to slices properly into thin slices like that. I imagine it would even be difficult to thinly slice lettuce for a professional chef with a good knife.

    I love to pre shape my burger patties and throw em in the freezer.

    So just a thought. Try the rice sphere in a deeper pan and cover it with water. It looks like the rice only went to the height the water was on it. Probably much denser.

    You need to use the frother closer to the top of the milk so air can be integrated. If you dunk it all the way in you'll get a lot less air worked in!
