Your exposure of the 992 GT3 ridiculously low ground clearance due to the frames around the newly designed air flow vents successfully REDUCES the ground clearance by more than 1 inch from the already extremely low 991.2 GT3 RS. With only a 3" ground clearance, this low ground clearance seriously gives me second thoughts about owning a 992 GT3. The 3" ground clearance is absolutely un-drivable in any US city. That restaurant driveway would have been unnavigable even if the car had the front lift system! The hydrolic lift system only adds another 1" to the ground clearance. As a person who has owned many cars ranging from r8s', 720s', 992 Turbo S', etc. All I can say is take a driveway near perpendicular and you will be fine. I currently have a GT3 on order with a March build date, and while I will say the 3 inch clearance is low, the FAL gives another 40mm of clearance; putting the car at the same front height as something like a new c63 or m4. Moreover, knowing a few people who got their hands on 992 GT3's already - none have posed it as an issue as long as your cautious entering roads
Love this man's clear headed assessment. As someone who own's 2 Porsches, the Gt-3 is way too stiff and noisy for the average driver. Maybe it's great for the track, but it's really annoying on the road. And we have really good roads in Colorado. But even on good roads, you can't hear your self think, let alone answer a phone call.
I appreciate the honesty in this review. The pros and cons. Some reviews go on and on how great things are with no mention of real world issues, like the steering darting around due to the camber
You’re a legend Harry, thanks for this honest review on the 992 GT3. Being based in the UK, and owning a 981 GT4… like you, 95% of my driving is on UK roads. The car has to suit the occasion, and I totally get your well expressed thoughts in this video. Merry XMAS!
Find the 981 GT4 way more rigid and harsher than the new GT3 , even ground clearance is about 3.5 cm better on the GT3 without the FAL , 9 vs 12.5 cm Would be great Max if you have a chance to try one and compare them
Harry that was so funny, about 15 minutes of semi-grumbling about ride comfort, lack of ground clearance, noise levels, the fact that it's not quite as usable as you'd like, condensation in the headlamps, then you put your foot down, screamed all the way to 9,000rpm and all of those grumbles just melted away, your face lit up and you were in love with it. Truly you are one of us, a proper petrol head! A very balanced and realistic final judgement though, quite refreshing to hear that viewpoint.
I did notice a photographer at the side of the road and pondered what he might be photographing . A few moments later, I spotted a red Citroen BX and guessed that might have been it! Small world..
Because Harry doesn't gush and squeal in every, single, car he drives like some reviewers, you tend to sit up and pay attention when he DOES get excited. Another great review!
That's the great thing about your content, you are not afraid to say it how it is. What more can we ask for in this day and age. Merry Christmas Harry, thanks for all your content & thank you for making a difficult year just that bit easier to endure. Cheers Si
It seems Porsche, like many companies now a days, became obsessed with Nürburgring lap times and forgot that for most people 99% of the miles will be on the road
Thank you for offering such a different perspective from all the other GT3 reviews out there. This car is clearly an absolute juggernaut on track but is quite heavily flawed as a road car
I don’t think I‘ve ever heard Harry saying that he was NOT looking forward to drive a car. Makes you wonder why he is the only one mentioning this. Maybe some youtubers have better cinematography, but Harry is the true car reviewer and the only opinion that actually bears any weight. Thanks for the video!
Yes I watched a few video reviews of this car and the real world / life driving is hardly mentioned. Great move by Harry in waiting so he could get a road review.
I've been avoiding every other UA-cam review of the 992 GT3 untill the GOAT, Mr Harry from the garage... Got his hands on one. Did not disappoint kind sir!!!!!
The GT3 is all about the engine and manual gearbox. I must admit this is the first review I have seen where it's been driven on ordinary roads. In Australia with it's coarse chip bitumen and heavily cambered roads this would be a nightmare. Condensation inside the lights on a Porsche? Can't open the engine cover? Thanks Harry for the excellent review.
Tyrrells Classic Workshop just thanked Harry for his help to start up an YT, while testing Harry´s Espada. While I was watching Ian giving Harry´s Espada the beans, I go a notification about Harray´s Garage. We don´t deserve this kind of gold!
We need a “Harry reacting to Acceleration” compilation! Your reaction, despite being accustomed to the fastest cars in the world, is always of surprise and it’s gold!
Cracking content Harry. Your ‘real world’ reviews are so relevant to us in the UK where the roads are; at best; shockingly poor. The hype behind so many super cars hides the reality of day to day driving especially when you’re paying a six figure sum for the privilege! Like many I can only dream of getting my hands on a 992 GT3 but I grasp the thrill of the engine as I own a 991.1 GTS. The sound you experience as the engine revs rise is intoxicating. Keep up the fabulous work, all the best for 2022.
The best car reviews on current media full stop. You seem to talk far more sense than most of the other ‘Influencers’. I want to know what a vehicle is like in real world situations, not just melting tyres on a private track etc. Keep up the great work and have a wonderful Christmas.
This is the best review of the new gt3 by a mile. Harry you are The GOAT of this game of cars. Every time I see a youtuber using your piece of road for their videos makes me laugh.
Harry is a true enthusiast. And highly knowledgeable and so detail oriented. Such a pleasure watching his superb videos on this and other channels. Fantastic quality.
Not that its a decision im lucky enough to make but the more i read and watch about the current lineup i really see the GTS in either AWD or RWD depending on the climate you live in as the all-rounder king of the lineup. Especially with a manual, an AWD GTS really gives you a unique proposition as a sort of "manual" 992 Turbo/S with probably 98% of the real world performance. Great review as always Harry!! have a nice holiday
Great video Harry. I am lucky to have driven 5000 miles in my 992GT3 now and I’ve enjoyed every single minute. The suspension is harsh in both tge sport and track settings (on the road), but you can reconfigure “Sport” mode with “Normal” suspension. This delivers the best road setting I find. You then have the Sport engine map, Sport PDK mode and softest suspension. Set up like this, the car is a joy to drive down my local B roads.
Thats great info Mark it would be interesting to have had Harry’s thoughts based on having the suspension in the normal mode as opposed to sport or track he did look like he tried to find a softer setting however obviously didn’t dig deep enough into the set up settings
@@SS-oj4en there's not a lot of difference in the damper settings, Sport to Track just tightens them slightly. This car reviewed here is not representative of how 992 GT3s drive, but I think the Cup2 tyres haven't helped. Mine is on PZERO Corsa and it drives amazingly well, no tramlining (my M2 is worse), and cabin noise is not particularly bad either. Cruises effortlessly too.
Terrific review Harry , you are now the expert that remains independent and honest about car reviews after decades of comparisons to relate to. So refreshing compared to so many other so called ‘internet influencers’ who I personally don’t find any where near as knowledgable. Keep it up for all us true petrol heads 👍🏻
GT3 is a legend, have driven 996 & 997 versions, the 996 is I think the epitome of the GT3. 140k and condensation in the lights… if it was mine someone at Porsche would certainly know about it in no uncertain terms!!
I recently had the pleasure of renting a 992 Carrera S for a couple days blasting down the incredible canyon roads of Malibu and Angeles Crest National Forest in Los Angeles. It was such an incredible car. Bountiful power delivery and felt extremely composed and planted both turning in and powering out of corners. I truly never wanted for more, and I can’t even imagine what the GT3 would be like:
That induction noise; almost emphasised by this being a road based review. Certainly brought a grin to my face when watching this video. Strange that the GT3 has been calibrated to be so harsh and focussed when they have headroom for that behaviour for the RS version. Still, a cracking car and one that I would love to be in a position to own one day.
This 992 GT3 looks as track-focused as the previous (991) GT3 RS, with slighlty better performance even. Incredible car... what will the 992 GT3 RS be? ;-) Edit: pretty much what Harry said at 22:10.
Just changed from a GT3 (991.2) to a GT3RS (991.2), GT3 was great on the road, completed the nc500 with my wife with no issues. The GT3RS is too fussy, as this new 992, to the point it becomes distracting. Seriously thinking about getting back to the normal GT3! Love the reviews Harry.
Hope you know how much we appreciate all your good work Harry. I have a 20 year old Lexus which refuses to die, 2 small kids and a hatred of Netflix so all that keeps me going sometimes is seeing what car you recommend I buy when I win the lottery. Right now I am thinking a Rapide.
At last a real world view of the 992 GT3. Too track focused and harsh, I'm with you Harry the 911 Turbo S is the go to machine. This new GT 3 will only appear on track days and other times will sit in a collection. Thanks for a down to earth test and not one blinkered by boyish enthusiasm.
Harry capture the owner perspective in his reviews and few journalist do that ,,,, there has been a debate about the harsh suspension in 992 GT3 and that is a serious set back ,,,,,thank you Harry for the review
Have we forgotten cars are meant to be used on roads not tracks and meant to be attainable without special permission🙁 As a car nut I find myself being turned off, the new breed of super cars and reminds me why I still love my 997 and 987.
Great review. Rather have a Turbo S nowadays, which you can actually rake up the miles on. Besides, if you have to pay markup, a loaded Turbo S is actually cheaper than a base spec GT3! Arguably more of the same car for less money.
Those vents are the same on the 997 GT3 and RS… they are blocked for legal reasons (spray and grit/rock blast) but are easily open by removing the blank and work. 👍
They made this for journalists and for the Nürburgring times, not for the person that's supposed to live with it. I love the fact that it's N/A, sounds amazing!
Totally agree with the last couple of comments . Harry’s reviews are true real world . Wonderful car and engine but it doesn’t matter how much it’s built for the track , you are still going to use it on roads some of the time . I’ve just subscribed but have been watching for ages! A brilliant channel
Having watched lots of reviews of this and other cars, I have to say, well done, such a great presentation and interesting details. This is truely how to do a road review.
I'm sure they have done a long test on road developing this GT3 but it needs to be extended to B roads aswell otherwise its unreallistic. Like you said, they have the GT3 RS for that.thanks for another great video Harry! Cheers from Portugal
Thank you for another enjoyable Sunday watch Harry. It is so nice to see someone give an everyday perspective of owning such a special car, and to be able to freely speak your mind instead of being mesmerized by the engine or, even worse, brownosing Porsche, is really delightful.
They nailed the 991.2 GT3. Both in performance and aesthetics. The 992 could be tamed with different dampers and springs. A proper "street" alignment would also do wonders. It's never going to be as pretty though.
Appreciate the honest review as always Harry, not like the handful of influencers playing the game, calling everything 'epic' to please the manufacturers.
Great video again Harry. It is sad as the GT3 was always a road car that you could use on track and the RS was a track car you could use on the road. I have just finished reading EVO car of the year and they all felt the same about the Touring, which should be even more road biased, but I think it is the same set up. They did well not to chase ever higher power, but probably felt that the only way to ‘improve’ on the 991.2 was for a faster lap time. It’s a shame as GT3 have always been fantastic and very usable road cars
I owned a 996 GT3 and frankly it was less comfortable on the road than a 992 GT3. Neither the GT3 or GT3 RS have ever been satisfying daily drivers, except for very few hardcore owners. The RS always has more flash but almost never much faster on track. Like a fine instrument, any GT3 or RS will take a lifetime to master. And that's the point.
Thanks for everything you have posted in 2021. I look forward to seeing what's coming in 2022. In the meantime have a great, restful, Christmas and a happy new year.
Harry, the first video I saw with you was on drive tribe when you and Richard were reunited with the Ferrari 550. Since then I've really enjoyed your channel and your videos, so keep up the great content!
Great real world review, something most of the car magazines completely miss as they test them on perfect circuits or roads around the Black Forest. I am sticking with my 991.2 gt3, think it’s the perfect compromise between fast road and a great circuit car, but not compromised on either. I guess whilst Porsche focus in lap times for each gt3 product the time was also ways going to come where it became too focused as a road car, and the 992 generation seems to be it.
@@harrysgarage it’s a keeper, and with no roll cage for better luggage, pdk, ceramics, and switched to Michelin PS4’s it’s a great all rounder year round.
Since I own a 991/2 Gen GT3 and having now driven the 992 GT3 there is no way I'd swap mine to get into the 992. This is the first GT3 I'd have to have transported to the circuit for track days if the journey was any more than 20 miles. It's not only the harsh suspension but the steering is too frenetic for me and the best bit which is arguably the engine is in all important aspects exactly the same in both cars. All this said a friend of mine swears by the 992 version but then he is a racing driver!
I love Harry's videos, I always learn something watching them. If I ever get back to the UK or he comes to Aus I would love the chance to talk to him for 5 minutes.
Great review as usual. I owned a 981 GT4 for about 3 1/2 years. Loved it, but sold it in April, wanted to have a less track orientated car. Have a 992 on order. Missing the GT4, but looking forward to a more comfortable road orientated Porsche sports car.
@@lollypop9580 Hi, I’ve had two 981 Caymans - a new base Cayman with PDK and then the GT4. Although the GTS is a wonderful car, I’ve never owned a 911 and it’s intended use is for touring etc. I do miss the GT4, sounds amazing, light weight carbon seats etc. Only 8000 miles when I sold it - it had 1800 miles when I bought it.
What a legend Harry is you find me another you tuber that takes his hands off the wheel while giving it the beans in the damp all in the name of road testing! Nice to he qbasically thinks the same of the GT3 as those on the EVO car of year this year too.
This has always been my dream car but now I wouldn’t want it, too noisy for driving on the roads. In fairness they’ll mostly be used on track but I always thought the RS was for that and the standard GT3 more road oriented.
I have to say I have similar thoughts. Has anyone done a review of how much the Touring spec changes these characteristics? I assume a ClubSport GT3 is the most “RS” of the GT3s? Am certainly curious, as from what Harry describes it doesn’t seem like this car would be an even tolerable daily.
@@skendler The touring is basically the same car. Personally I think the 992 GTS would be a much better choice as a pure road car (it's quicker than you would ever need and probably quicker than a GT3 in the real world). Although obviously it doesn't have that epic NA engine.
There must be something up. We have a mix of reviews from various reputable journalists regarding on-road ride compliance. Some say it’s perfectly fine, while others say it’s punishing. Apart from subjectivity, could be a number of factors: 1) Tyre pressures are definitely too high for cold tyres. 2) Cold temperatures increasing summer tyre rigidity and damper oil viscosity. 3) Anti-roll bar settings being too stiff, which results in reduced suspension independence. 4) PASM software variation. 5) Ride height not being appropriately set for road use, with reduced suspension travel.
Sounds like Porsche engineers should incorporate your favourite bit of road for their road testing… Hopefully the engine gets used in a few other variants which are more suitable for road driving.
The noise ! It’s glorious . Been lucky enough to drive the previous generation 991 in a track couple years ago and it was the best drive / car I ever had by far. The steering , the engine and the way the car takes corners it’s just epic. Well done Harry again . Cheers and merry Christmas!
The 992 GT3 Touring didn’t fare particularly well in EVO Car of the Year group test either. If they’d put the GT3 engine in the GTS, it would have solved the problem and created a nice road car with the special engine. Nice review Harry.
They also said the front end on the touring felt very different to the proper gt3 they tested a coupe of issues back. That gt3 also beat the McLaren 600LT and GTR Nismo, both ecoty winners. That review made it sound like the 992 GT3 is the most exciting thing ever. I wonder if the (adjustable) suspension on that car has several different set ups out in the wild, with some working much better on road.
Everyone else who’s reviewed the touring thinks it’s absolutely superb. The car they seemed to test didn’t behave in the same ways that others had experienced.
@@napalmhotdog4365 yes it’s odd the Touring in EVO that was tested in Scotland (and driven there and back) didn’t perform well, but it does now seem to corroborate with Harry’s views here. Very dependent on the type of road.
First 911 I wouldn’t want to own. It’s an amazing track tool but these cars were build from the beginning to be a “do it all” road car. I’d have the GTS or Turbo S in a snap over this one and save a ton of coin. Still loved the review though, Harry!!
My thoughts is that this GT3 is what a GT3 should be, a weekend track car with minor comforts for longer trips. I think most people who want the GT3 should get the turbo S because it is for people who what a daily driver with comfort and have superb performance.
Not sure I have. I think if you want a track toy, buy an RS. GT3 should be a fast road car that can also be used on track, which is why every other GT3 has been such icons. I say this as a GT3 owner.
Thanks Harry… only one person I would come to for honest review. Happy to proceed with my purchase of a 991.2 gt3.. knowing that it’s a better car on road.. And won’t feel like I got the short straw not being able to afford the 992 gt3
Harry thanks for another great review ! i owned a 997 GT3 and I thought that was a hard ride (my Wife refused to go in it !). This sounds even harsher, so not a car for me. Ill stick with my 964 C2 !
I also had a 997.2 GT3 and after nine years of ownership came to the same conclusion! I now have a Turbo which is so much happier on the road plus my wife wants to go in it !!

Yeah, he's spot on!!!
991.2 was better for the road
I don't think the average driver will be purchasing a Gt-3...
No good to me, I want to be able to hear my music!
@@JJR_77 I think that’s down to the crazy lack of available allocation in the UK, don’t know about the USA.
Merry XMAS!
Fellow 981 GT4 owner here! I think the 991.2 GT3 is the peak and my dream car. Adore the GT4 though!
Find the 981 GT4 way more rigid and harsher than the new GT3 , even ground clearance is about 3.5 cm better on the GT3 without the FAL , 9 vs 12.5 cm
Would be great Max if you have a chance to try one and compare them
Harry's reviews are some of the best
Harry that was so funny, about 15 minutes of semi-grumbling about ride comfort, lack of ground clearance, noise levels, the fact that it's not quite as usable as you'd like, condensation in the headlamps, then you put your foot down, screamed all the way to 9,000rpm and all of those grumbles just melted away, your face lit up and you were in love with it. Truly you are one of us, a proper petrol head! A very balanced and realistic final judgement though, quite refreshing to hear that viewpoint.
@20:56 I wonder who that could be in a beautiful red Citroen BX GTI 16v
Ha, more youtubers use that road than I've had Hot dinners
I did notice a photographer at the side of the road and pondered what he might be photographing . A few moments later, I spotted a red Citroen BX and guessed that might have been it! Small world..
@@harrysgarage GETTING SMALLER
So it was Harry's "favourite piece of road" I spotted in one of your recent videos.
The BX being described as beautiful, very much proves the "eye of the beholder" proverb.
Dear Harry,
You are the pinnacle of any honest review of a beautiful vehicle 🙏🙌
Merry Christmas to you Harry and to all your family. Thank you for all the great videos this year.
Cheers Si
There's a reason Porsche wanted you to test drive it on track, Harry. Another great video and review, many thanks and Happy Christmas!
Another epic video, Merry Christmas Harry and Family ❤️
Even though the answer is: it's pretty awful as a road car.
It seems Porsche, like many companies now a days, became obsessed with Nürburgring lap times and forgot that for most people 99% of the miles will be on the road
Nice to see a genuine road review! The 992 is growing on me but I still prefer the 991 visually for sure!
Same
The 992 is very 959 in stance for me. I like it somedays more, usually not though. Very bulky.
Some nice 991 touring for sale in germany. Low milage. 10-15.000 km. I would gladly give one a loving good home…🤤
For sure, the 991 gen is the by far the best looking gt3 (and best sounding too)
@@salvi1398 some of the sound difference is down to the EEC noise and emission regulations on the 992 so not attributable to Porsche.
What we’ve all been waiting for!! 👌🏼👌🏼
Finally a honest review. Most journalists are too scared to mention 911 dislikes.
Yes I watched a few video reviews of this car and the real world / life driving is hardly mentioned.
Great move by Harry in waiting so he could get a road review.
I recently sold my 991.1 RS and deposited on a Turbo S, as like you I mainly do road driving I am really pleased to hear your praise for the Turbo S
Why do we watch Harry. Complete honesty.not someone who is stuck up a manufacturers rear like some UA-camrs,
First and only UA-camr to be honest about the new GT3! Everyone else is just fuelling the hype.
I've driven GT3s in Aus and NZ and they're fantastic. Yes, they're firm. But you could absolutely daily a GT3
Tyrrells Classic Workshop just thanked Harry for his help to start up an YT, while testing Harry´s Espada. While I was watching Ian giving Harry´s Espada the beans, I go a notification about Harray´s Garage. We don´t deserve this kind of gold!
Both amazing channels and free entertainment to us !
I love this GT3 for its raw, driving on the edge, NA engine power, but I'd most likely lean towards an optioned up 911 Turbo
Honest car reviews are a very rare thing. Thank you Harry for providing substantial in-depth analysis.
The fact that so many of the other informative motoring journalists comment here speaks volumes.. Happy Christmas Harry
God bless you Harry. One of the best channels and reviewers out there. No BS and fluff, just a straight forward look at the best cars.
So did you pay the £100k premium, or were you one of the lucky ones allocated the car?
@@SS-oj4en there's not a lot of difference in the damper settings, Sport to Track just tightens them slightly. This car reviewed here is not representative of how 992 GT3s drive, but I think the Cup2 tyres haven't helped. Mine is on PZERO Corsa and it drives amazingly well, no tramlining (my M2 is worse), and cabin noise is not particularly bad either. Cruises effortlessly too.
Harry your honesty is remarkable and refreshing
The speed at which the car kicked down and took off is truly frightening
So nice to have an honest review of halo GT3 on road ..excellent
Harry, you explained my fears exactly...
It is perhaps one step too extreme in being a 50/50 road/track car.
Very good video, as always !
*to being a 50/50
It is NOT extreme being 50/50 as it's a GT3 which is what the car is about :) The most extreme part is getting in to the carbon buckets seats.
Most light units aren’t sealed now.
I've owned 2 cayman's and they both had condensation in the lights as well. I think it's a case of "they all do that sir"
@@gbgt2 is this with the newest generation? my 987.2 has never had that issue and it's ten years old.
@@romulus_ Yes both were 718 (S and GTS 4.0 which is my current car)
Awesome sound.
This 992 GT3 looks as track-focused as the previous (991) GT3 RS, with slighlty better performance even. Incredible car... what will the 992 GT3 RS be? ;-) Edit: pretty much what Harry said at 22:10.
This is the best review I've seen of the 992 GT3 to date. Proper.
Do it, I have kept my 991.2 gt3 and it’s a great road car
Hope you know how much we appreciate all your good work Harry. I have a 20 year old Lexus which refuses to die, 2 small kids and a hatred of Netflix so all that keeps me going sometimes is seeing what car you recommend I buy when I win the lottery. Right now I am thinking a Rapide.
Loved this! Thanks for another 12 months of automotive experiences! Have a great Christmas - thanks Harry!
So many journalists just rave on about the 9000 red line. Love your honest review.
Glad to hear my TVR isn't the only car with water in the lights! I find the 992's fake manual gear stick a bit cheesy. The engine is epic!
the honest reviews that this channel gives is worth a lot to the buyer and also the car maker compared to other channels
Possible to get a full review of the 997.2 GT3 as sort of a "modern classic" and how it feels/drives compared to current cars?
Harry has such knowledge and wisdom on cars and is such a natural on camera.
Have we forgotten cars are meant to be used on roads not tracks and meant to be attainable without special permission🙁
As a car nut I find myself being turned off, the new breed of super cars and reminds me why I still love my 997 and 987.
Probably the best ad I’ve seen for a 997 GT3, lol. Thanks for the content as ever Harry. Happy New Year!
Great review. Rather have a Turbo S nowadays, which you can actually rake up the miles on. Besides, if you have to pay markup, a loaded Turbo S is actually cheaper than a base spec GT3! Arguably more of the same car for less money.
I think Mr. Preuninger will be interested in this constructive and very worthwhile review.
Top job Harry and Happy Christmas to you and your family.
I bloody knew it was you filming! I'm in the last van at 20:02 😂
Also spotted JayEmm stood on a corner down the road from there!
Totally agree with the last couple of comments . Harry’s reviews are true real world . Wonderful car and engine but it doesn’t matter how much it’s built for the track , you are still going to use it on roads some of the time . I’ve just subscribed but have been watching for ages! A brilliant channel
First one I know of to mention the harshness. Never afraid to tell the truth. This is what separates you from the rest, Harry. Cheers to you.
Get a 992S or a Boxster GTS 4.0 for enjoying B roads. Manual if you are able. Drive your GT3 on B roads to get to the track.
Thank you for another enjoyable Sunday watch Harry. It is so nice to see someone give an everyday perspective of owning such a special car, and to be able to freely speak your mind instead of being mesmerized by the engine or, even worse, brownosing Porsche, is really delightful.
What a monster. I could never live with that ride quality and if had the choice, would much prefer a plain vanilla 911 Turbo.
My favourite car guy in my favourite car. What a joy to watch. Thanks for all you do for your fans Harry. Merry Christmas to you and yours
They nailed the 991.2 GT3. Both in performance and aesthetics. The 992 could be tamed with different dampers and springs. A proper "street" alignment would also do wonders. It's never going to be as pretty though.
the dampers already are adjustable, aren't they? Should be possible to tune it more for the street without replacing any parts
That version of GT3 is mega. No way would I swap it into the 992 GT3, unless I'm mainly going to drive it on track. PDK suits it perfectly too.
@@harrysgarage it’s a keeper, and with no roll cage for better luggage, pdk, ceramics, and switched to Michelin PS4’s it’s a great all rounder year round.
@@harrysgarage Yes, but the manual...mmmmmmmm!
A bit too Big the 992 ? Was the 982 gts not an option ?
What type of 992 ?

Nice realistic review for real people who drive on real roads. Great stuff
Great video Harry! Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the 991.2 GT3 compared to this. And/or maybe some other older GT cars. :)
His comments are clearly in relation to GT3’s of the past and 991.2 being the latest after the current; pretty clear the 991.2 was a better road car.
Thank you Porsche for still making cars we can aspire to!
Great observations, fantastic car but I'd not choose it over a Turbo S.
i would have both
There must be something up. We have a mix of reviews from various reputable journalists regarding on-road ride compliance. Some say it’s perfectly fine, while others say it’s punishing. Apart from subjectivity, could be a number of factors:
1) Tyre pressures are definitely too high for cold tyres.
Sounds like Porsche engineers should incorporate your favourite bit of road for their road testing…
Hopefully the engine gets used in a few other variants which are more suitable for road driving.
German performance cars have been way too stiff for decades.
Finally an honest review.
Wow, steamed-up lenses. Are those a cost option on a Porsche? I got them for free on my Tesla 🙂
Eco did a car of the year 2021?
@@porsche911fan2 yes, in the current issue of EVO magazine.
Fantastic video. Harry is just the most enthusiastic, articulate, and knowledgeable guy. Legend 👏🙏🏼
First 911 I wouldn’t want to own. It’s an amazing track tool but these cars were build from the beginning to be a “do it all” road car. I’d have the GTS or Turbo S in a snap over this one and save a ton of coin. Still loved the review though, Harry!!
turbo s is more expensive though lol
Wow I was really surprised by the sound when Harry floored it a little at 15:32. Amazing !
