Keto & Intermittent Fasting macros have something in common that relates to carbohydrates. Never heard of before Dr. Ekberg figured out that there is direct relationship between the number of carbs in a keto diet and intermittent fasting that happen in the body. This has never been discussed before, that we know of.
    You hear all the time how important carbs are. People think you need carbohydrates to survive, but you do you? We get tons of comments about why people need carbs, but a lot of people are going with very low carbs and you will find out why.
    A lot of people have had success with getting into ketosis, but do you understand why? There are some people who are scared to eat a ketogenic diet. Dr Ekberg explains with math why keto and intermittent fasting are part of the body's natural and healthy way to be.

      It is not theoretical. The practical application is that carbohydrates are stored in the fat tissue along with fat in the exact ration needed to fuel the brain during a fast/starvation. Many people claim that fasting is muscle wasting, but the numbers prove that we don't need to break down protein to provide glucose.

      Agreed. Guy helped me lose 25, almost 30 lbs of visceral nasty belly fat due to drinking for over 30 years and eating a bunch of whatever was in front of me. 50 years old. Started June 19th on Keto and Intermittent Fasting based on what the good doctor here has posted so many times, and I went from 177 lbs since June 19th, to today I weigh in at 151. Belly is flat as a board and now I'm actually exercising to deal with all this extra energy, and I hate working out in any way.

They are suspicious of they great doctors here on UA-cam (nurse was brought in to speak to me about eating 5 meals a day and taking my insulin- I just nodded) I decided to use my docs and nurses just to measure my progress. It is slow going for me because my immunotherapy drug also raises glucose. But the tumor went from a mango to now a raisin size so immunotherapy is working. But once I’m off this Keytruda it will be crucial to eat sugar rarely and do clean keto & fasting

    Carbs aggravate my diabetes. I needed to lose weight as well. I started monitoring my blood glucose myself, along with my blood pressure. I selected a diet by experimentation to avoid glucose spikes. It turned out to be very similar to a ketogenic diet. I minimize carbs, eating them only in complex form, not processed, and that sparingly. Carbs aren't essential at all. I lost 40 pounds and actually look forward to exercise, which I do a lot! My blood pressure is normal now, and my VO2 max (a measurement of fitness) is well into the "excellent" range for my age.

First the weight came off easy and fast. I’m no longer tired in the afternoons. I feel like a new man. Without the intermittent fasting I was only loosing a pound a week. I added 1.5 hour daily walk and the fasting…..wow it was a dramatic difference. Some weeks I was loosing close to four pounds.

    I am certainly getting an education from your videos. I have been doing Keto for 4 months with great success, but the information you provide is teaching the how and why our bodies work. I realise that Keto is a lifestyle and not just a temporary measure, and am glad that I have discovered this now so I can go into mature age with the tools to remain healthy. Many thanks!

    It speaks to a great designer. I truly believe God knew all of this, when designing "the first body" and I do know the longer I live, the more I realize I need to take the best care of this body He gave me. I wish I'd known, what I know now, on how to fuel, how to fast, how to eat for life, Before 3 years ago. BUT now that my husband and I have reversed diseases that plagued us we share everywhere we can. The same with our testimonies of God saving us too. We watch you a lot! It keeps us motivated to live and eat healthy. Thank you so much!

      Dr Ekberg, man to man, I think that you're akin to a demigod...of knowledge and simplicity. Your grasp of complex concepts shows everytime. Your utter simplicity is what endears you to us; don't change a thing. Now I know that you don't care much for my flattery, so l'll get to the point. Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with type two diabetes, and placed on meds: Metformin and it's cousins. I was also found to be very hypertensive, and given meds for that too. Then I saw a video by Dr Jason Fung first, and others by you, and I was blown away by your revelations. In short, I have started a holistic approach and discontinued taking the meds. I have lost about twenty five pounds so far. My eyesight has improved (this entire text was written without glasses) and I feel better, enjoying less pain and more energy. Thanks! One thing I need your help with though: how do you treat nail fungus? I wear steel-tipped shoes in my factory job, and have been afflicted with this condition for years... it's really bothering me.

      @meera2531 4 роки тому +2

      @@garvinstewart5511 Nail fungus is a sign of systemic fungal overgrowth. It is something which diabetics and those close to prediabetes are prone to as the fungus thrives on the excess blood glucose. As your sugar levels come down and you continue on keto your fungal overgrowth within the esophagus, intestines, skin, ears and nails will die down and you'll get relief from the root cause. But meanwhile you should take apple cider vinegar 1-2 tbsps in a 750-1000 ml bottle of water and have it with a straw. You can add lime or lemon juice to it too. Also if you cut down dairy you may also speed up your healing. Also try and notice if you have any food intolerances and avoid those for better gut health.
