Hi Trevor yes the beams can be turned through 90 degrees to face the other beams or for the panels to face a better light.
Sometimes walls/posts that the beams are attached to are not directly in line of each other so the beams can be rotated to line up.

appreciated that you took the effort - but you have not really dealt with the actual setting up - I worked out how to attach them - and lost one of the screws! BUT the beeps are utterly confusing and the instructions unintelligible. What do the beeps mean? Exactly how do you know they are in alignment?

Hi .You should always set these up on a kitchen table as in the film so you get to know what you are listening for in the way of the setting up beeps and don't lose the screws. Place thebeams about 2 feet apart facing each other and you will hear the reciever beam give a series of beeps followed by a long one. This is the sound you are looking for when lining them up. If you now lie down between the beams then stand up again you will hear the receiver beam do the beeping to say it is receiving the beam from the transmitter beam.

Where can you get these? We live off a main road. Don't want to put up a fence but want this to reach all across our property, But would need just bit more than 100Meter.

      Hi Brian
They work with alarms that have a simple learning mode.
When you install detectors on your alarm panel if you put it into a learning mode and then trigger the device for the alarm panel to store it in the memory then they should work.
If you have the type of alarm panel that requires you to set little numbered bit switches on devices before installing they may not work.
They only talk to the alarm panel wirelessly and don't have any connections on them for wiring to CCTV cameras etc

What happens if a bat or owl flies through the beam? Is an alarm triggered? Thanks.

Hi Jimmy. These are dual beams so both beams have to be broken at the same time for them to trigger. This reduces the chances of false alarms that you would get with a single beam detector which would trigger with birds, bats etc all the time

Hi!! Do you know if this sensors work with KERUI alarm systems? Thanks a lot

Hi Nicolas. The Kerui alarm panels are standard Chinese alarms and the beams should work with them.

We have a small receiver in an enclosure powered by 12v that picks up the signal from the beams and has a NO/NC connection for triggering existing alarm panels. These are for mounting indoors and supplied with a 12v power supply that plugs into the side. We recommend a distance of 10m from the receiver beam. Alternatively it can be mounted
outdoors and the 12v supply and the cables to the alarm panel wired to it so the beams can be further away.
