So, the way is was explained to me, was that Overhaul's speed and fighting prowess were enough to overcome the advantage that Foresight gave to Nighteye, especially considering he used his lackey's body to get stronger. Think of it this way, if an ameture boxer was given the power of Foresight, it still probably wouldn't be enough to beat Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali in a fight. 1-second divination is crazy, but a legendary fighter probably moves faster and hits so hard that one single mistake will lose the ameture the fight. Nighteye is definitely better than an ameture, he's the second best fighter of the whole raid arc probably (I'm not caught up with the manga so idk if anything contradicts that, but the anime spells it out that way), but Overhaul is also presented as being the absolute best hand-to-hand fighter. Remember, he's assumed to have landed a touch on Rappa, with no "combat" boosting quirks, when even Fatgum couldn't react fast enough to Rappa's machine gun blows. Pretty freaking OP, honestly. In my observation, the pure hand to hand combat power rankings break down like this: 1. Overhaul 2. Nighteye 3. Lemillion 4. Rappa 5. Probably someone between Earaserhead (has been shown to beat big-brawler types), Twice (he thinks he could possibly still be a clone, so his fighting style is all about not getting hurt, enough to last against Todoroki) Fatgum (martial arts trained pro and heavy hitter) Toga (can land a cut on Eraser) or 20% Full Cowling Deku (Muscular who? Lol) A confident Suneater or the Deku/Eri combo smashes this list, tho.

Man I hate this season. I honestly hate how they butchered this whole season starting with this beginning section being overhauls arc. They cut out way too much and it feels like I am speedrunning the whole fucking series and it doesn’t help that what follows is one of my least favorite arcs to finish most of the season(won’t spoil) but man they butchered the anime too much and I can’t believe people praise the anime for this shit(sorry this has nothing to do with the video I just needed to get this out of my system).
Anime itself is a pretty good adaptation, I've read the manga and it stayed faithful with most of the manga. You can't always have a 1-1 adaptation of a manga, its practically impossible considering production limits and the amount of details accumulated over its debut.
