    The truck Gunn got was the one they tricked out with vampire-killing gear, it literally helped him and his gang stay alive.

    Freds speech to Wesley was on point. He should have trusted the team. What she said was what he needed to hear. Love Cordilia stabbing the casino owners hand, she DEFINATLY knew what to do. By the way, the demon was looking for Angel Investigations, not Angel.

    Charles Gunn and Alonna Gunn was born in 1978. He sold his soul for stupid truck when he was 17.

    An interesting concept here in Double Or Nothing. We have Gunn as an impetuous teenager does a deal to sell his soul for a truck. I think what the writers were trying to show was when we are really young we can make terrible decisions that can have life long repercussions. Great scene in the casino when the tensions builds and Angel only draws a 3 card, adding to the comedy. Cordy stabbing his hand and Angel cutting his head off was brilliant, only for the gangster to grow another head. Great comedy at the end too, when Angel says 'does anyone else owe this guy' and the whole casino takes revenge. All in all a pretty decent entertaining episode.

    I'm glad Angel was able to finally dismantle the crib, and that Wes is out of the hospital. Looking forward to your reactions going forward.
    This show loves to play with your heartstrings...

    Yes, you noticed the mirroring of Angel's choices last season where he decided to take on all the responsibility of dealing with Dru & Darla, knowing what he believed it would cost him, and firing the team, & Wesley's choices this season doing the same. Funny that you talked about Wesley's Dad at the end, Wesley did not have a good relationship with his father, Dad being dismissive & continually doubting Wesley's abilities. Wesley also had no real leadership abilities, with no clear teachers, as we saw in Buffy when he was appointed Buffy's Watcher. So, it seems fitting to me that Angel has had such a remarkable impact on Wesley, a mix between friend & family, mentor & example. Which further helps with Wesley's choices this season. However, there is a difference. Angel made certain that he would be the one who paid, with the whole Fallen Angel storyline, & him delving into the darkness again. Wesley aimed for that but even if he had succeeded with the plan it still would've cost Conner his Dad, Angel his son, and the team their relationship with Conner. A major complaint with Wesley has been that for someone so well-read & intelligent he showed remarkable blindness in making the same mistakes that he took the longest time forgiving Angel for. All of that is just background noise though to the fact that I don't understand how Angel is supposed to forgive him. How is anyone supposed to. You said he must be feeling lonely, I'm sure he is, but his actions are directly responsible for his best friend's baby being in a hell so bad even demons shudder. A baby, in a dimension of suffering. If the team gave Wesley a chance to explain, what exactly could he say to make that okay? Well, there was this manipulated prophecy... That'll be a fun conversation. I hope it goes there, it'll make for intense TV. A lot of people hate Wesley now, I never did, but I never defended him, as it's indefensible. It's Angel though, gray areas & hard choices & even harder consequences, are a core component.

    Don't be upset about people assuming you don't read the comments, it's probably just because they perceive you as a popular UA-camr who gets so many comments they can't keep up with them all.

    It's kind of an interesting episode, but obviously a detour from the Darla-Holtz-Connor storyline. Maybe we needed that in order to develop Gunn's storyline and the Gunn/Fred storyline. Charleswinifred. Gunnifred. Those ones don't work.

    I understand the importance of the truck, but none of what Gunn was going through is a reason to treat a relationship that way.

    • @MarkusR144
      @MarkusR144 4 місяці тому

      Yeah, always thought it was weird. When I watched the first time I thought that maybe, somehow he was stripped of his soul at the table when they broke up and that's why he was saying all that. Then it turns out he was doing it for.... reasons.... he knows he's gonna die so he treats Fred like shit so that she doesn't like him anymore? Only seconds after doing basically the opposite the whole day? I don't know.
      Maybe something didn't work, there were rewrites and they were just like: "Well this still doesn't work, let's just do the next episode and leave this to not waste any more time."

    Regarding Connor...we have no idea what the time rate is in the dimension he and Holtz went to. If it is the same rate as the one Buffy went to in "Anne" Connor could already have died of old age! 😁
