I did really like the deleted line but it’s understandable. Apparently Kholby (noel’s actor) forgot the line was cut at one point, started singing it, and then stopped and went “surprise!”

Can’t believe they took out an entire verse where it revealed Monique had a kid at one point. I do like however, that they changed the monologue in the middle of the song to acting it out.
Yeah, it surprises me they took out the line too but they actually did act it out in the play properly. This recording is from a concert at the end of the Canadian run. Not an actual production from that time.
Problematic lyrics aside, there are some vocal flourished Kholby does here that I really like that are different from the official recording. Don't get me wrong, I love the officially recorded one, but with live performance other inflections come about that are just as good, like here.

Even if it was, that doesn’t matter because it was a dark comedy that was meant to be contrarian and offensive. The dark humour is what made the cabaret
