- The JW Marriott Venice is one of the most luxurious hotels in Venice, Italy and is on its own private island!! Hotel offers complimentary boat shuttle every 30 minutes from downtown Venice to the Island. This JW Marriott is full of Venice history located where a hospital used to be. Cons:
- Takes about 20 minutes on boat to arrive and depart every time you want to visit Venice
Pricing:
The average nightly price for a standard room: $550- $700. The average number of Marriott Bonvoy points required per night: 54,000 - 81,000
I recommend using points to stay at this property as it is usually very easy to get one Penney per point of value.

Yes! St. Regis Venice review will be out soon! Gritti Palace hotel is way too dated for me, I couldn’t stay there. I did walk through lobby and soooo dated.
@@gogotravelwithjosh thanks for letting us know about Gritti. From Bonvoy site, pictures of Gritti seems very fancy and expensive. Maybe it is misleading. So jealous of you visiting all the hot hotels from my list that I can’t experience myself yet 😆
Absolutely, I definitely prefer new and modern. I just couldn’t stay at Gritti, some people who don’t mind old and history would like it. Not for me. JW and St. Regis there are both amazing.

@@gogotravelwithjosh currently I want to visit Ritz Al Wadi Desert in Dubai. I like to experience the swimming pool in desert 😆
That one does look really nice, I would highly suggest also staying at Luxury Collection Al Maha also in Dubai desert. It has 4.8 rating which is extremely hard to get compared to 4.4 at that Ritz. And it also has pools in the desert. Definitely use points for those nights as rates are really high all year long at those properties!
Does everyone prefer Marriott Attune, or JW Rooted?
NICE TO HAVE MONEY Josh! $1700 / night is crazy
Due to the high price point I recommend redeeming your Marriott Points here. It is a great value as you usually can always get at least a penny a point in value.
Is there any unpleasant smell in the water in Venice?
The hotel looks beautiful BUT Venice is so busy! Boat travel to and from the island every time you want to do something would be a negative for me.
It actually was not that inconvenient. It was actually something we looked forward to. They give you the time schedule so if you plan it right there is very little waiting.
Josh, love your videos and information but your selfie video sections move too fast and makes us dizzy. Keep making videos though, we really love your content!
Thank you for the kind feedback and I’m happy you’re enjoying! Feel great knowing there is no more selfie videos coming in the future. I’m still catching up uploading my remaining videos from last year. Now the middle part of the videos is just video clips of the property with voice over.
I agree the presentation seems fast maybe because you want to control the overall time. I also like to see more about hotel amenities, and foods. In addition, can you also mention which property has business lounge and how good the foods in the lounge.
Please watch my Sheraton Denver video. It offers my new format for all future videos. Let me know what you think. As for lounges, if it’s not mentioned in video I will list it in description under benefits for Platinum and higher guests.
@@gogotravelwithjosh if lounge is available please show in video as I feel lounge is a bonus point for me to decide if the hotel is worth to stay when lounge food is really good. It is also why I don’t like Ritz as their club lounge is not complementary and super expensive
If properly has lounge, I have always included a video of it. Many properties do not though and therefore they offer breakfast in restaurant which I show. I’ve only been to 4 club lounges out of the 15 JW Marriott hotels I’ve been to. As many do not have them or they were closed during covid.
