Amazing life story from both of you, Van and Joe. I can totally relate to each of your storyline due to the fact that we've all been there looking and searching for the dream job that you’re longing for and in the process, there were more disappointment but the fact of the matter is that there was that one, that one job that is waiting for you and as you both said, being in the right place at the right time was the moment of truth. And sometimes you think that God has not answered your prayers and I heard part of your testimony was that song you mentioned about pray for me. As a matter of fact, I believe God does answers prayers but not according to our timeline but His timeline. As God says, everything comes from Him from Heaven and it does not come back void. Keep the faith and believing that He is the rewarder of all your needs and He knows it before we do, Amen. God bless.

I love how you both inspired each other to go where your dreams brought you both. Continue inspiring each other, that is the most important thing and enjoy your young life because there are so many things to enjoy in this world. Soon you will look back and enjoy reminiscing your travel together. Dalawang probinsiyano na tinupad ang mga pangarap sa buhay. I know sabi nila dapat hindi mag-BF/GF kung bata pa but I noticed my son when he was young he enjoyed high school and was inspired to study hard because he had a GF, after they broke up I noticed him slacking on his studies. It truly takes a woman to inspire a man to dream high and be successful and happy in life.

You both are only a few years younger than my son & daughter... Both FilAm. I think all to often kids are pressured into careers by friends and family. Most important is to love what you do so work is not really work but something you enjoy. I am a 30yr airline employee myself with 38yrs in my field of expertise. Hopefully one day we will bump into each other on a flight. Currently one foot in Seattle and one foot in Davao. Found you thru Joe's fathers 30yr adventure... Best wishes!

You are absolutely right. Peer pressure can really affect the path you choose. We are no longer Flight Attendants. The pandemic affected our work and we were forced to stop.

Also the reason that the water fall area looks red is because of iron material in water ..I bet that area is rich in iron which will produce tons of iron to build steel beams for construction.

It's called sulfur water Joe.. that's why it smells like eggs... I have drilled water wells some areas like Kansas and parts of Missouri and Arkansas have water that smells and tastes like eggs you drink it sometimes it can be extremely salty

We speak Bisaya and English more of a mix but we are fluent in Bisaya. It is not weird to be honest because we talk to each other in English most of the time 🤗

Fellow Cebuanos are such delightful people. Majority are, but a few are (expletive). Hahaha! I'm a Visayan (Cebuano Dad and Mom from Dumaguete) but I was raised in NYC. I understand Cebuano or Bisaya in general, but don't speak it fluently though. Learning and practicing with them and relatives especially in San Antonio TX which has a very large Visayan diaspora.
