Couple points I think you could have touched on:
- Detonite charge is great if you can plant it on a walker. Will give 500 BP on trigger
- Dc15 Exploding shot changes the weapon from being a marginal upgrade over the default 1st weapon to god tier in many situations. You can a) shoot through saber blocks, or behind them to damage them b) damage objectives at a much higher rate (also around 500 bp for a full clip, useful if your sentry is on CD, compared to maybe 200 for a regular weapon) c) shoot through enemies personal shield d) kill enemies around corners (especially if they are low health and running away) This can save you from using your grenade as its often a knee jerk reaction to toss a grenade at an escaping low health enemy e) confuse enemies at range since the explosion wont give a clear UI indicator as to where the damage is coming from and of course f) damage multiple clustered enemies easily. Its really incredible.
- TL-50 alt fire. Not as good as Iden's, but still useful and is a partial replacement for barrage which can free up a slot.
- Ion turret is intended for vehicles mostly, so placing it somewhere where it can hit those or objectives is also useful.
- This one is super recent so understandable if you couldn't get it into the video, but Ion torpedo is set to get a buff for the next patch. It will deal more damage and fire more shots, so hopefully it will be more viable to take out vehicles

Wow thanks! :) never been pinned before. I'm not terribly inventive tbh, some of this I learned from reading about it on forums, some of it i have been victim of (cough explosive shot cough). I also discovered the saber trick by encountering a block spamming kylo in a crait tunnel, i don't think he was happy about that haha

Recently got into the game (thanks to the xbox spring sales). Been using that blaster for my heavy pretty much religiously (since I still haven’t unlocked the others). Although the third has that auto-cool feature, that explosive shot as my attention. I normally encounter groups and have been known to set ambushes so the explosive shot and the detonator tips will definitely help. Actually on Crait the other day I used that detonator by planting it on the hallway on the left side where the first order can charge down the hallway. I hid out of side in third person to peak the corner. When I saw a crowd pushing I detonated in the middle of them and managed to cover the side. They did catch on and pushed me out with flame troopers.
I'm going to let you in on something I've kept a secret since launch. Everyone knows that the explosive sentry prevents you from moving while firing. But what I learned at launch was if I fired the sentry manually (don't hold down the trigger, instead click the trigger only once when it can fire) you can move while using it. Basically if you let go of the trigger you can move and since the explosive sentry can only be fired about every .5 second there's no point holding the trigger down.

Tl-50. Definetily. But i dont like the minigun, so i always play assault because of the shotgun
If you want to farm XP/credits, pick heavy on vehicle maps, such as Crait, Hoth and Kashyyyk. Go with Ion Turret, Ion Torpedo and explosive shot. 3 Ion Torpedoes will take out a max lvl AT-ST running max health cards. I've seen scores as high as 40k - no heroes used and always stopping the attacking team. Great thing about the ion torpedoes is you can lock onto air craft and knock them out of the sky too.

Star-cards:
Bounty Hunter
Detonite charge
Grenade launcher.
The thing about the FWMB-10K that puts it apart from the others is the auto cooling. It's not noticable if you fire to overheat every time, but if you are shooting in small bursts, like suppressing fire at long range or just killing a single target, it will automatically start cooling itself as opposed to waiting for the long cooldown time that comes with most of Heavy's weapons
Improved shield impreved grenade and explosive sentry
Iron Torpedo + Ion Turret + (Resourceful or Supercharged Sentry) with FMB-10k+Ion shot ideal build for taking out objectives such as MTTs and AT-ATs. Also good against AT-STs and ships.
Detonite charge = awesome for protecting objectives; just hit the 'boom' button when you see or hear an objective being pushed.
TL50 good for CQC but not much else/
DC15LE good for medium distance engagements and better than starter weapon as it can be upgraded. Explosive shot good for choke-point control.
i love heavy its my 1st class that i maxed out to lvl70 and ive been playing this card build for a while, i dont really have a name for it but its good allrounder id say... : 1st i have resourcefull which makes my 3abilities recharge faster by 28% i think (purple), then i have barrage (purple) and improved sentry card... i love using tl50 or fwmb10k (depends on range)... pretty much i play in closed parts of the map, as buildings, tunnels, caves etc etc... i really dont stick that much in the open, if i gotta do i switch class presonaly... i just love how fast barrage recharges and it comes really clutch sometimes and i just feel like im able to do more dmg cuz of resorcefull star card, tbh sentry comes really clutch when you are low hp, just get behind cover and use it to recharge your hp faster, surived a lot of times cuz of that...

When you show the cards and describe them, I think comparing like base HP Regen speed vs Epic Card Regen speed in game would assist in showing how good a card is.

I personally like the FWMB-10K especially once you unlock the thermal scope. This makes it super easy when you’re defending a position if you can find good cover to shoot through and you can usually hit enemies from quite a ways off. Perfect example is playing on Takdano defending or taking the hill. The wall provides good cover and you can distinguish enemies (especially Resistance) from the forest so easily from a distance with the thermal scope. I do tend to play defensively with the heavy class so this gun works better on that side of things. For close-up offense something with a higher fire rate is probably better.
Detonate Charge is great for defending objectives/chokepoints. Also sentry is awesome for racking up BP on AT-AT and MTT.

I know that it’s a lot more commonplace now, but at the time this vid dropped, Explosive Sentry for GA maps like Kashyyyk, Hoth and Naboo were able to rack you up massive amounts of battle points. If you launched a rocket and then used the max time of its Vulenrability to use the Explosive Sentry, you could easily rack up over 1000 BPs

I love barrage
I use the TL-50 at longer ranges quite a bit, now that I have unlocked the mod upgrades for it - the trick is to use fire discipline (rather than open up as soon as you see an opponent) and burst your shots into small groups rather than hold the trigger down. A triple-tap string of headshots can be performed very quicklly from a pretty good distance away with TL-50 with enough practice, and foes tend to start searching for a closer opponent when they are first hit by the TL-50's bolts at a distance or they hear that signature blastershot sound and just assume that you are close. I've been very surprised at how well recoil can be managed with the TL-50 if one commits to getting the mods and learning how to tame the weapon.
I hated the 3rd gun in the beginning but the range and damage are just so high and the crit modifier is god like.

I do not use this class as an assault I think more of stick with group of teammates and back them up helping them move up. If someone gets behind you tho your dead no Def for that unless you play on max turn speed which I salute you. Suppress people and get the assist or kills using nades and sentry. If you notice a lot of red behind you and your team then face that way and rely on your team to push up while you Def their ass. and don't be afraid to retreat. Your support not a marine.

I'm I the only one who hates the heavy weapons, they suck balls compare to the other classes.
I find the sentry to be helpful against heroes with lightsabers.

The second blaster has a lot of recoil
I cannot get kills with his LMG's to save my life
they do so little fucking damage that anyone you fight tends to kill you first even with your extra health.
Because his LMG's are so trash I can't even get his third gun and am stuck on the second one due to lack of kills.
Don’t hold the trigger down, tap fire
Anti-tank/vehicle in torpedo, in turret, bounty hunter, thank me later this gives alos of BP for every vehicle kill
What about the t-21 blaster?
It's 11:00 so im pretty tired and I just binge watched a bunch of Pyrocynical so when I watched this and thought: "Man, Pyro sounds weird in this video."
So glad the ion torpedo got a buff! I stopped using it because it wasn't worth the slot usage as it didn't seem to do much. I've actually maxed out the heavy, find it super fun to use on Hoth.
I use either DC-15LE or TL-50. Just because of explosive and concussion shots. Also, Barrage and Mobile Sentry.
I personally run the 2nd weapon with the explosive star cards (The only reason i use 2nd and not others is because im in a "Milsim" group)

Another perk of the impact grenade and why I love it so much is that it can be thrown from miles and won't explode mid air

When I feel in an explosive spammy mood I equip explosive shot on my DC-15LE or use the TL-50 with its concussion blast ability.
I was using the concussion blast last night and you’re right it can be really handy! Not as good as Iden’s but it’ll still get you plenty of kills!
SammyBoiii the biggest problem I have with it though is you can’t scope in. Your literally hip firing which can be annoyingly ineffective. Even without the concussion blast the TL can’t hit anything at range. That why I probably prefer DC-15LE. With explosive shot you can effectively deal damage at most ranges. The only problem I have with explosive shot is you usually end up doing so much splash damage to your self.
Yeah that’s so true, or I’ll try and scope in and end up shooting the ion shot on accident 😂 yeah tbh after all the dramas with explosive shot I haven’t used it much but now that it’s been fixed I’ll have to try it out again!
SammyBoiii in normal situations you probably don’t need the explosive shot but the best perk about explosive shot is that lightsaber wielding opponents can’t block your shots. The best is villain to melt Vader, huge hit box and slow moving.
Yeah I used to always pull it out after I got killed by a hero! So satisfying hahah
Great video! The Survivalist card is great for the Heavy since they have the longest delay before health regen starts. And Barrage is fantastic for killing enemies around corners if you can bank your shots off of a doorway or something. One of my favorite Heavy builds is the anti-vehicle build: Ion Torpedo, Ion Turret, FWMB-10K with Ion Shot, and anything you like for the third card. With the upcoming change to the Ion Torpedo giving it 3 shots instead of 1, I'm looking forward to taking down some annoying strafe runners! What would you think about doing videos about changes made with each patch and how they affect gameplay? I'd love to see that!

Heavy is a great overall class it plays offense and defense much different to other classes, yes, this class is chokepoint strong. But the thing is I see assault classes and others storming an area they can't get through until I combo up my DC15, a golden reload, the combat shield, the impact grensde and the sentry. I'm caught up between the regular and mobile sentry. The mobile sentry is great if you have to move and shoot and need it back up and firing quickly. But the standard sentry lays down a longer line of more intense firepower
Yeah I've found that the mobile sentry is a very underrated card, I'd never used it until recently but now I really enjoy it!
Great series of videos! With the recent patch I will do a specific heavy load out to combat vehicles using the the ion torpedo, turret combo. Great for larger maps to neutralize ground and air based vehicles.

The TL is great for cqc and the DC-15LE is best for range (especially with the improved accuracy). The funny looking second one is in between and the base one is solid too.
