Homing Shot was still great after the nerf you just needed to know when to use it. I use to always pick off jetpack players with it. All I had to do is lock on to them just as they land and fire. It was funny seeing them run.
I also loved to use it to attack Luke players. It was hard to lock on to Luke. When I did players would think blocking would save them, but the explosion still did damage.
I’m still haunted by the thought of running in an open area just to be sent flying after getting with it

I feel like with concussion and blind, HUD elements should just disappear for the duration. The reason they're pointless effects is that you can still see names and healthbars and therefore just keep tracking whoever concussed or blinded you. Daft.
I've always thought that, it made no sense because you could see the health bars.
i think if all health bars went to 100% it would make it way better, as new players would be like "oh shit!" and run but people who know it would be like "ah fuck, i can't see there health"

I've killed a ton of villains 1v1 with leia. Cocky lightsaber heroes that I can out dps with the rapid fire while they try to wail on me

Boba's Concussion Rocket breaks on impact then explodes further away from where you originally shot. In fact, you captured that nicely in this video and you can clearly see that the 2nd explosion is what causes the disabling effect and the 1st explosion causes the concussive effect.
Amazing, and yet I cannot fathom the reason they chose to ho this path.
I still play bossk to defend on the ship, even bugged he is very good at keeping swarms of enemies at bay with his dioxis.
1 thing I want is something called premier skins (injustice 2 did these really well) where it’s a skin for characters too similar so qui gon as a skin for obi wan jango for boba with re skinned guns something like that

Your commentary about the officer’s homing shot was hilarious. I used to use it way back when I started playing the game. Guess I was so bad at Battlefront I didn’t even realize how useless it was. (Even though I swear it used to not miss 97.83211% of the time.)

What makes you so certain
I'm glad you put the Homing Shot to shame. I used it for the first time this week and hit maybe 3 out of a total 50 rockets I fired, just to test it out, and none of them killed. I switched back to flash mid-match and immediately snagged a kill on a guy I didn't even know was behind the wall I threw the flash over.
Leia's bubble should definitely let her shoot through it at the least, maybe give a small armor buff to allies who are near her when she deploys it?
Her grenade should blind, stun movement and outline enemies by default as well, no argument there.
i've always thought that Lando's smoke should have a star card that works like the oppression grenade, but without damaging the enemy

@@zl1ck371 it's meant for escaping but it really only helps outdoors where there's a lot of cover to hide behind. Indoors and the as smoke grenade barely covers your track due to the close quarters fights. That's why I think it should have more than one purpose. The slowness can be the same as the Specialist Shock Grenade but Lando's will do slightly more damage over a duration

I have absolutely horrible internet and I was surprised that I can even play this game. I actually get decent ping. I expected to get 1000+ms ping like Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, and Apex Legends. I’ve never had problems with hit detection.

*GREIVOUS CONCEPT* replace his extremely buggy dash with his spinning blades ability then change his middle ability to be alt fire between his current state and when he uses all 4 arms, gets multiple hits in at a quicker succession but has decreased damage per hit. I think this would make him more viable!
I honestly think blaster heroes have been left aside a bit by the community, wich is weird. I get that sabers are more flashy but nowadays in HvV you rarelly see any blaster hero, nor in GA. The fun thing is that from time to time i take Iden or Han in HvV and just Rek people's shit xD (and i just remember how good they are). Its just a weird fenomena, people feel more prepared or secure with saber H or V i guess.
There are a few cards missing from this video, I'll list them real quick and their effects:
Grievous' Line up, weaklings Card has the same effect as Rey with it dealing the damage instantly. This card is insanely OP in HvV as it deals 50 bonus damage both on the rush and the kick animation, totaling to 100 more damage.
Lando's Quick Shock Card barely makes any change at all in the stun time difference even if you meet the required activation needs. (It may make a difference, but we're talking milliseconds)
Phasma's Come Closer Card is completely reset when you pick up and move the sentry droid, which is absolutely terrible in HvV.
Iden's Shock Reach and Acquiring Targets Cards do the effect the other card does rather than the one described on the card, which is very misleading.
Rey's Opportunist Card is slightly misleading with how it states she deals 'bonus damage' overall, despite how it doesn't affect her dash strike in any way. (Still a decent card, though)
Chewbacca's Extended Shock Card provides a much longer recharge time than 20%.. it actually increases the shock recharge by 50%.. which is REALLY bad.
Finn's Raised to Do One Thing is another card that barely makes a difference, I have tried all angles with this card and it doesn't seem to increase the lock-on radius at all.
Finn's No More Running Card deals the damage before getting three kills with deadeye, making it a very good card.

I remember battlefront 1s homing shot. That thing was so overpowered. People would literally just sit at the back of the map and snipe with it all game. Glad they nerfed the crap out of it in 2

"Often times, it won't even hit players who aren't moving." Sometimes when I test the Officer's Homing Shot card in arcade mode, I hit my enemies, but it doesn't do any damage whatsoever
A bunch of abilities are broken in arcade, hand shoulder charge doesn't do anything in arcade

A lot of these things work on PC as far as i know. You might wanna include that in your video. Bosk's predator instincts go for the full duration when i play at least.
I'd rather Epicentre and Damaging strikes' descriptions be updated than the cards be changed. They add a new dimension to Luke and Rey's play styles but are not overpowered.
Luke is the most op and easy hero to play he doesn’t need the epicenter glitch

Nah, blowing up tank, while standing on top of it is both fun and dangerous. I kinda like it. Also it's a cheap way to deal with heroes, even cheaper and more practical than Commando's repulsor.
Leia's flash grenade was recently switched with the officer's flash grenade. And I've never experienced being able to block her flash grenade.

16:15 Leia's shield upgrade is not bad, though. It really help the team push chokepoints and rush to cover through a doorway. However, her shield is pretty much a Battlefront 2 IQ detector. It's also really good at duping heroes and multiple troopers by drawing them into the shield with you and then dropping a thermal det inside. Also you can charge your charge-shot inside and step out. It's also really good to set-up a retreat point for you, if you have to advance down a long hallway or open area, if you start getting lit up by multiple troopers you can just rush back through your sheild and have the rear covered. There are so many intelligent uses for it, but as I say, it's a battlefront 2 IQ detector. Too many people just slap it down on the point or a bad doorway giving the enemy a free funnel or cockblocking your teammates shots. In that situation you need to rush into the doorway about 10-20m and place it, or place it behind your teammates positions so they can hide in there to recharge HP free of fear of grenades and starfighters blasting them. But it definitely should be 1000 HP stronger.

I found that while using the officers homing shot it's better to aim above the target so that the missiles curve down. This doesn't work every single time but your chances of hitting are better. ( this is for anyone who is as crazy as me who are also running homing shot )

just to add one for dooku in case it was missed. his initiative cards description doesnt match what happens in game. it's either bugged or worded incorrectly. he says every 15 seconds a critical strike is available and for each successful strike the cool down is 1 second less. this doesnt happen it recharges every 15 seconds no matter what and stays that way. the only saving grace for this bug is that the critical strike wont disappear indefinitely only until u hit someone

Past many months, when i play Anakin on my ps4 his skills are so bugged with animation. Whenever i do L1 and R1 skill, it will totally mess up anakin, either a loop where he stand still and active the skill after like 3 minutes or it will just skip it lol. Fuck EA with their shitty ass robots. Fix the god damn cards first

I found that a good combo me and my friend uses is Anakin pull and Obi-Wan mind trick but im oretty sure that if me and my friend needs to work together to kill Boba then we can call him op. Or at the very least, ‘’annoying bullshit’’
Very useful video, just finished getting all my heroes all their cards
I used the homing shot for a few games last week to test it out (galactic assault) and was lucky enough to get 3 kills. However, these kills were on low health infantry that were most likely Christmas newbs at best. While it is possible to deal damage with the ability, it had less accuracy than a stormtrooper with a foggy helmet. You’re more like to kill someone across the map with a stinger pistol. I would love to see the card get updated, because right now, I run a very basic officer build with no special abilities besides improved battle command.
I use landos smoke cards in hvv because it makes villains unable to lock on and lunge at you so it buys you time in a lightsaber vs blaster fight
Homimg shot is incredible effective in maps like Geonosis against vehicles.
Dice should give Leia's shield somekind of ion-pulse function that disables weapons in an X radius. Also she should be able to shoot with her alt fire thrue her shield. That way enemies won't come to that specific point
The concussion rockets extra duration seems like it was intended to be used against Jedi as I assume the lock on will stay disabled whether they can see for that time or not (same goes for Lando's smoke)
You are supposed to use Leia flash grenade on enemy sabers in hvv, it mostly disable their saber tracking.
grievous's line up weaklings doesnt need enemies to be hit to get the extra damage too like rey's currently
They should make bobas concussion rocket how they make concussion grenades in call of duty. When you get hit, you have no HUD, slower movement, very blurred vision and your sensitivity is also slowed.

To be fair I've smacked heroes with the homing shot. However it's not reliable unless you use it while your teammates hold down said hero. You should really just be using Improved Flash Grenade though.

In my opinion, here are a few hero and villain changes/reworks that I think each character needs.
Boba Fett:
-buff his base health to 650. I mean, he’s wearing Mandalorian Beskar armor after all.
-rework the Concussion Rocket’s effect (and the Officer’s Concussion Grenade by extension), to prevent players affected by the “Concussion” effect from sprinting or jumping, as well as dealing 15-20 damage on impact, and dealing about 2-5 damage at the very minimum.
-potentially rework the Concussion Rocket and Rocket Barrage abilities, inverting the amount of rockets fired between the two, thus making Boba’s Abilities a “Concussive Barrage”, and a singular “Wrist Rocket” (then by default, buffing the rocket to deal perhaps 250 on impact, and then reducing to something like 25-50 damage at the minimum)
Bossk:
-allow Bossk to hip fire his Relby-V10 as fast as he could in Battlefront 2015
-Make his “Headshot kills prevent his blaster from building up heat”, work like how BattlefrontKnight describes in this video, where the card would instead reduce the time it takes for Bossk to fully charge his Relby-V10 while aiming down sights.
Chewbacca:
-Buff his standard HP to 800, and give Chewy a Regen of 250-300 hp (he’s a Wookie, and Wookies live for centuries, so it only makes sense that he would be able to survive more damage than most humans)
-make his Shock Grenade stun Infantry for a LOT longer, but make the impact blockable by lightsaber villains.
-Allow his Bowcaster to by default, Fire a single shot at a much faster rate of fire than it currently fires, or be charged up to a fourth and final stage, with a single shot again, that deals all the damage of the 5 bolts.
Or alternatively
-make Chewbacca’s blaster deal as much splash damage as it does in traditional blaster damage too
-reduce the lag between starting the Charge Slam, and when Chewbacca can punch the ground ad cause the shockwave. Perhaps by making the ability activate the instant the button is pressed, and then causing Chewy to impact the moment the activate button is released. Also, give Chewbacca 80% damage reduction while falling and activating the slam. But ONLY while falling. Not while running normally. Normal running only applies the default damage reduction.
Darth Vader:
-Make him unable to block while playing the Focused Rage animation
-Allow him to block, swing, walk, throw his lightsaber, and activate his Focused Rage middle ability while force choking. (Still prevents sprinting, dashing, and jumping)
-I also personally wish that Vader’s lightsaber throw was more like how it was back in 2015, where it would simply go out, and then come back retracted
Emperor Palpatine:
-make his force jump ascend at the same rate that he falls, basically a slower upward jump.
-scrap the whole 1 or 2 handed lightning attacks function, and just make the right trigger the button for his lightning attack, and the left trigger a blaster and Force Ability Block like he had back in Battlefront 2015.
Better yet, make his left trigger block a “Lightsaber Block”, allowing him to accurately deflect Blaster Bolts back at the firing opponent. Thus finally giving Palpatine his Red Lightsaber
Han Solo:
-Widen the hit box on Han’s Shoulder Charge, allowing him to damage and knockdown enemies he runs near by, without canceling the ability. A direct hit will still cause the ability to play the “Impacting”/“Shove” animation, and now will deal even more damage. Also, only the direct impact of the Shoulder Charge can break a lightsaber user’s block.
Iden Versio:
-Make her Pulse Cannon charge you automatically while aiming down sights, and then firing when she presses the fire trigger. (Identical to how Bossk’s Relby charged up while aiming down sights.
-tweak her Pulse Cannon Mastery Starcard to make the recharge speed of her pulse Cannon faster, like how BattlefrontKnight mentioned in this video.
Lando Calrissian:
-change his “increased maximum health” starcard to literally anything else. It makes no sense how Lando, a normal ass human, can have more health than Grand Master Yoda, Darth Maul, and Emperor Palpatine.
-Make his Smoke Grenade as effective as the Commando Droids, by having it obscure Hud Elements too, but leave it as the same width as his improved smoke grenade car allows.
-Make the Improved Smoke Grenade width and thickness starcard, Into a card that causes players caught in the thick smoke to move slower (either just by preventing enemies from sprinting, or perhaps even causing them to move as slow as they would if they were caught in a Specialist’s Shock Grenade)
-make his Disabler Grenade Stun Enemy infantry a LOT longer, but allow it to be blocked by lightsabers. Also, enemy blaster villains have their blaster automatically overheated for a short amount of time. (Something like 1.5-3 seconds)
Leia Organa:
-Allow her Alternate Fire to penetrate shields. Or at the very least, go through her own shield.
-make her Flash Grenade remove enemy hud elements from blinded Villains, as well as prevent lightsaber swings from locking on, and prevent blinded enemies from deflecting blaster fire and force abilities.
-give her a standard 25% Damage Reduction while using the Rapid Fire E-11
Luke Skywalker:
-give him 75% Damage Reduction while the Force Push and Force Repulse ability animations are playing.
-𝗙𝗶𝘅 his “Epicenter” Starcard to keep it from unfairly damaging enemies who are blocking.
Darth Maul:
Buff his Lightsaber Throw to be able to take out a default Heavy, given that the lightsaber hits both times.
Rey:
-Make her Mind Trick Blockable
-make her unable to hold her block while playing the Insight Animation
-I personally would prefer if either Rey’s Dash Strike, or her Insight ability were replaced with a Saber Throw like Vader’s, seen during the beginning of TROS
Yoda:
-revert the change to allow his Dash to ignore enemy lightsaber blocks, and buff the overall damage.
-prevent Yoda from using his Presence ability while dashing.
Phasma:
-I don’t know how, but I would love for DICE to incorporate her Chromium SE-44C, from the deleted scene of TLJ
General Grievous:
-Just scrap his Thrust Surge ability, and replace it with an ability to draw and wield all 4 lightsabers, and deal extra damage and swing twice as fast (nearly at a constant speed of lightsaber swinging)
Or, at the very least, make the Thrust Surge animation play twice as fast, in order to make the ability faster and more reliable
Obi-Wan Kenobi:
-make deflected shots while using Defensive Rush, deflected accurately.
Or alternatively, make all deflected shots in general deal extra damage, like BattlefrontKnight suggested in this video.
-make the final swing/strike animation from Defensive Rush, cause the hit player to be knocked down to the ground
Then also, as just a general gameplay change;
Ragdoll Immunity. To prevent players from getting spammed on by force and knockdown abilities. (Something like the Stun Immunity that was added a few months ago)
I love obi-wan (lvl 57) and I was so annoyed when they changed his animation, the one before just looked way better
I remember the homing shot was scary in the first battlefront. I miss orbital strikes too
