Chanukah was quiet this year. I mean, it usually is, but we do go to my mother-in-law's and there's a synagogue party. This year, though, we both had Covid for the first few days, and were too fatigued to do anything but light our menorahs. We even did take out latkes. I work for a Jewish organization, so I worked yesterday, which was fine. I'm also working next Monday, so we're not going to do much Sunday night. Not everyone celebrates the secular New Year.
Covid snuck its' way into our house for Christmas, so it's just been my husband and I hanging around for the past week, which is relaxing but has me down in the dumps. I knew I wasn't feeling festive this year when I identified with how Charlie Brown was feeling in Charlie Brown Christmas 🙃 No plans for New Years, as usual, since our cat gets pretty stressed out from fireworks, so I'm hoping I won't go stir crazy in the meantime! Happy holidays from Germany!
Had a birthday earlier this month, turned the big 65! Christmas will explode shortly with my grandbabies and new years Eve we are going to see the group heart at the Seattle center. Been a busy 6 weeks as we also saw manhiem steamroller and trans Siberian orchestra. ❤️❤️ it’s been a fun time. Merry Christmas and take care!
We spent Christmas Eve in the ER because my sister had a seizure. She's okay (but not allowed to drive until she gets cleared by her PCP) but it was a scary few minutes until the paramedics got there. It was a really busy night (people were in beds in the hallways) so we watched Elf, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and 4 Christmases while we were waiting for the doctor, waiting for them to take her for a CT scan, and waiting for the results so that they could discharge her.
It was definitely a MEMORABLE Christmas.
Merry Christmas Cindy! And I hope everybody else's holidays have been/will be fun and/or peaceful.
I spent Xmas eve with both of my kids/spouses/grandkids for the first time in many years. We've always celebrated a day or two later because we lived out of town and/or needed to work around schedules. It was really fun!
I celebrate Yule, which has passed and we have already celebrated our Christmas!

I hope you and your family have a lovely holiday! I celebrate Yule and it's a 2 or 3 month long thing, so we have several days in there that we do some kind of celebratory activity. It can get a little crazy and sometimes stressful, but this year I've tried to make everything a little more relaxed, just for my own sanity.. lol
Having a quiet Christmas today because I have Covid 😩 We’ll see family next weekend hopefully
I’ve been sick with a really bad cold/cough for 2+ weeks so missing all my family today too! Very quiet day…no food in fridge….doesn’t feel much like Christmas 😢
