    Thanks for this tutorial, it makes a lot of sense to me, especially about keeping your legs straight and being patient on the swing back.

    Thank James, this is an excellent video and I really appreciate the steps and progression for it. Doing the pulls from a sitting position on the bar really helped me to launch my legs higher, so I was getting really close to having it tonight. A couple more sessions and I think I'll get it. Couldn't make any progress before just trying it without your steps though, so thanks so much.... Hope you do more tutorials...

    Seriously man I've been stuck under that bar for like a year, trying the bar kip on and off whenever there was an opportunity. I was told to swing the legs out early, hence always getting stuck! Your tutorial helped me from getting out of there ;) Thanks!

    @fuzzyse23 you can get the stuff to make it at home depo, and a pull up bar from any athletic store.

    hi, thanks for the tutorial, i have a problem with the kip though and maybe you can help me, i'm pretty close to it and i can do until your position at the beginning of 6.39 when it's needed to 'pull up the pants' but then when i finally have pull up the pants that i have the hips closed to the bar, the arms straight ecc..i feel that i haven't enought momento to overcome the bar: i stop with the upper body barely over it and because of it i lose the solid shape and the hips, followed by the rest of the body,falls.I wonder if the problem was about technique and momento or about conditioning and strenght, does it requires effort in terms of arms and back muscles(dorsi) or it's all about momento?, because i saw some type of conditioning for gymnasts but i don't think the main part of the kip is made by push down with the arms, does it?
