No offense to this UA-cam channel but you should really check out Wilson Auto Detailing. He's way more about his business. In my opinion, using products like Koch Chemie is fine for the enthusiast but if you are trying to make a business out of cleaning cars, then you care less about high end products and focus on the products that work. I fail to see how Koch Chemie Greenstar is superior to Meguiar's APC or Super Clean. Meguiar's is $21 a gallon. Super Clean is $10 a gallon. Meguiar's can be diluted 10:1. Super Clean 5:1. So why spend $65 for 1.25 gallons of Koch Chemie Greenstar instead? Is it *that* much better? Of course not. It's fun to see channels like this, or Pan the Organizer, try to sell hobbyists expensive chemicals but it's 100% not necessary. That being said, we all have our preferences. I, for example, like the Turtle Wax Hybrid line that Pan covered extensively. It's pretty much unnecessary once you find out about Technician's Choice Ceramic Wax or Formula 4 Spray Wax, which can be applied with a spray bottle while the car is still soapy to eliminate the possibility of water spots. But we like what we like. So I get spending money on products just because you like them. Just be sure you know the cheap and the expensive methods. I really can't recommend Wilson Auto Detailing and IMJOSHV enough.
@@RictorIAG I’m telling you Koch chemie products are great and especially products like green star or multi star are super dilutable and strong. I wouldn’t really say much about a product unless you’ve tried it. Just because a product can do the same things doesn’t mean it’s better, or even the same thing “because it’s cheaper”. A lot of times those “cheaper” products cost more. Koch Chemie started from an industrial process, tunnel washes, body shops, etc.

'Cotch Kemmy'😂Greenstar is absolutely fantastic. I use it in two pump sprayers, one at 50:1 for bug removal and most other jobs, and the other at 10:1 for dirty undersides, tyres and neglected alloys. It's the only cleaner I need for washing nowadays. I own the 11 litre square barrel and I've only used about a quarter of it in about 4 years. Very economical. It works great on alloys as I find it does not leave flash corrosion on the discs/rotors and make calipers dull like most other APC's can.
Greenstar has become one of my favorite products to use in cleaning. I was blown away the first time at it's ability to tackle problem areas. I love using this product on areas that see the most road grime.

If you need to save even more money, Superclean comes in 1 gallon size for under $10 in retail stores and they have a dilution chart available online. You can also try your own dilution ratios depending on how dirty your car is. I doubt you need to use very much at all for maintenance cleaning. The company doesn't recommend it for washing the paint, but you can try to use it like a bug/tar remover as shown in the video. You can find car shampoos and wheel+tire cleaners in gallon size as well.

Where you want to be with the cost and quality of your products is a personal decision. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Hi. How can you compare this KC with APC Meguiars ? I was about to buy my usual Meguiars but I watched this video and I’m changing my mind:). Ty for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for watching. I will look into it but I am so happy with this product that I don’t really want to change. They come in several sizes. Try a smaller bottle out. Thanks for watching
What’s a good mix for a pre foam on the car during maintenance washes before going in with a contact wash. Right now I’m using Bilt Hamber but want something cheaper possibly.
I’m not a big proponent of using Green Star on the interior regardless of dilution. Green Star is a a great te wash 1:4 all day though. I also keep it in a spray bottle 1:10 to do my exterior brush work including emblems grill door shuts petrol area window rubbers et al.
How long can you keep the ratio in the bottle? Will the quality be reduced over time? Lets say 1:20 ratio, only used 50%. Can you use it again couple weeks later?
for tires, does it strip the black color from the tires? Surely it'll get them clean but don't want it to be so strong that it strips color. Had that happen with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Wheel and Tire, stripped color from my Kumho AT52s.
@@yanniobkirk5744 nope that was 4 months ago on that tire and it’s still the same and I clean my wheels and tires weekly. That same cleaner I used for years on other vehicles and tires
I have used this stuff for years and i can tell you right now it won't remove tar spots. That traffic film and mud you showed, yeah, but not actual dried on tar spots. Green star is great for tfr, mud and general purpose cleaning but not tar..
That would be a good one but hard to really compare as I am sure they both cut through dirt and grime. It would probably end up being personal preference. Thanks for watching
@@HawaiiDetailing Yeah true. What I need to do soon is start looking for an interior detailing cleaner that doesn't need to be neutralized. I exclusively use OPC and follow it with onr. But everything else I've tried doesn't save me time because almost every panel I touch I find something that still needs the strength of OPC anyways. Also my SOPs can't handle 12 different products when 2 gets stuff done the fastest lol.
I use both power clean and green star. GS is a bit stronger dilution wise but I feel like power clean eats up bugs better. They’re both great products it comes down to price and preference of brand honestly. I have a $13 gal of P&S APC that performs identical to both above mentioned much more expensive products.
When testing a product I would always use the least amount of dilution that gets the job done based on how dirty it is. Test in an inconspicuous area first. Hope that helps.

Mineral water has minerals in it that can leave spots when it dries. It also shortens the shelf life of mixed solutions

Check this page of mine out. www.hawaiidetailing.com/wash
I’m not a big proponent of using Green Star on the interior regardless of dilution. Green Star is a a great te wash 1:4 all day though. I also keep it in a spray bottle 1:10 to do my exterior brush work including emblems grill door shuts petrol area window rubbers et al.
Thanks for sharing
Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Awesome video as always. Would using a none ph balanced soap affect your ceramic coating at all?
As long as its not overly aggressive it will be fine. It will possible affect spray protections for sure. Thanks for watching
Coatings are fine for ph 5-12 Sealants and waxes will lose durability from as little as normal washing with a neutral soap.
Thank you my dude, Awesome-Sauce!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Can I take you out for lunch next time I'm in Hawaii? Thanks for the valuable info.
Thanks. It’s all good. No need.
How much dilution would you recommended for use as a pre-rinse to strip old waxes/ sealants?
Check this out. www.hawaiidetailing.com/dillution
@@HawaiiDetailing thank you so much.
nice video! how would i dilute heavily dirty cloth or fabric seats/car matts and under the car mats (the car carpet) ?
www.hawaiidetailing.com/dillution Look here for all my favorite dilutions. Thanks
Which model leaf blower is this one? Looks light and easy to maneuver around the vehicle for drying

What dilution do you recommend for 12 ik using GSF and Greenstar for prewash?
I usually add 1-2 oz to the foam cannon for a prewash
Great video.
Thanks a lot.
Great video. What is that spray sealant applied on the wheel by the way ?😊

Just get you a PH probe tondial in your dilution. Once you're dialed in, you're good to go.
I love the content 💯👍🏾
Thanks
How long can you keep the ratio in the bottle? Will the quality be reduced over time? Lets say 1:20 ratio, only used 50%. Can you use it again couple weeks later?
Couple of weeks no problem. Shake before use to make sure it mixed
Thanks for taking the time to answer!@@HawaiiDetailing
Yo, this was funny. Great video😂
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Will you recommend Mzr or Green Star? I have both and they seem to be the same but Mzr has better scent
I have not used Mzr. Sorry I can’t give any opinion on it.
@@HawaiiDetailing well, if you have a chance to get it, definitely try. Thanks for replying ! Love your videos :), love from Slovakia
for tires, does it strip the black color from the tires? Surely it'll get them clean but don't want it to be so strong that it strips color. Had that happen with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Wheel and Tire, stripped color from my Kumho AT52s.
Never had that happen but dilute it down if you want it to be less aggressive.
Most likely what you saw was residue left behind from that cheap cleaner.
@@yanniobkirk5744 nope that was 4 months ago on that tire and it’s still the same and I clean my wheels and tires weekly. That same cleaner I used for years on other vehicles and tires
It sound so funny when someone not from Germany tries to pronounce „Koch Chemie“ 😂❤
I have used this stuff for years and i can tell you right now it won't remove tar spots. That traffic film and mud you showed, yeah, but not actual dried on tar spots.
Green star is great for tfr, mud and general purpose cleaning but not tar..
Which detail shop on O'ahu do you recommend that does quality & real detail work? Mahalo.
autodetailhawaii.com Shaes Luxary Detailing. Good guy. Tell him Jeremy from Hawaii Detailing sent you.
I'd love for someone who is awesome and trustworthy to do a head to head of this vs OPC. ;)
@@PolishedMobileDetailing503 thanks for the info!
I’d like to live in your garage if you don’t mind. Great breakdown 👍
Hahaha. I spend a lot of time in there. Thanks for watching
@@HawaiiDetailing I like your garage as well. Cool atmosphere, and so tidy. It's up there along with the other UA-camr, Paaaan the Organiser.
How safe is this on leather? Would you do 1:20 ratio for leather, or water it down even more?
When testing a product I would always use the least amount of dilution that gets the job done based on how dirty it is. Test in an inconspicuous area first. Hope that helps.
Pol Star for leather.
What would the dilution ratio be to soak soiled microfiber towels and clean rubber floor mats?
Neat
