Using the program to go tax exempt. And woman protest bhtch groups attacking us . . It was tradition in my family to be a Scout. All my church was Scouts. But 90's, Two women wanted their daughter to be a 12 and a half year old eagle scout. They both went to the military for jail.. . I (Crow Bar) didn't mind a girl being in boy scouts. The Girl Scouts became pro abortion back in the early ‘90s. Once I learned that some of the cookie 🍪 $$$ was going to PP, I stopped buying. This might be one of the reasons for co-ed/div. BSA, as the BSA remained socially conservative until 2013. The ironic thing is that historically, Cub Scout den mothers had to actually be mothers originally. The Sea Scouts became co-ed in the ‘70’s. The Venturing/Exploring high adventure program for ages 14-21 was created to be co-ed.

I am an Eagle Scout as well and had a very positive experience in the Boy Scouts. I don’t believe the Boy Scouts is recoverable at this point in time. The formation of groups like trail life are the future because this is what the majority wants; not what the media conveys is wanted.
It has nothing to do with “these days“. Only thing with the current day is now there’s not so much shame that kids will speak out. Plus social media spreads the story far and wide. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t do background checks, if they just trust in God to handle it. And if a boy is molested and doesn’t immediately feel secure in reporting it, my guess is he would be less likely to report it because he would feel like he committed a sin.
Went to a meeting when son would be transitioning from Webelos. Hubby still not impressed. He didn’t like that there wasn’t a boy leader. In fact, our son just stopped his Patrol Leader term and is getting Eagle Scout this summer. I hope Trail Life continues, but perhaps some tweaks could be made.
I’m surprised they didn’t remove’God’ from it. They might as well just can the whole thing. And parents should be aware that little girls pretending to be little boys may be their sons next tenth mate!!
This is a market that will continue to grow. So many kids have nothing to do now and none of them play outside. It’s good that there is a religious focused scout club opposed to the liberal scout programs, but hopefully there will be one that falls in between that’s just focused on scouting and being a good person but without the religious aspect as well the extra gender aspects.

And of course there's the achievement of making Eagle scout rank. I just feel like overall Boy Scouts is more challenging and rewarding than anything in Girl Scouts.

Men and boys act different when females are involved in something, especially today this can cause a massive problem where the boys or men can end up getting in massive trouble for doing literally nothing. There are so many spaces that males are not allowed but an increasingly large number where girls are only allowed, This is incredibly unfair to males.
I’m not judging anyone, but I don’t see boys of different ethnicities in this post; nor do I see any leaders of different ethnicities represented either.
Unfortunately a lot of people from other ethnicities tend to be among the woke…but go to the site you can see lots of pictures from troops there are other ethnicities involved. Our troop has different ethnicities for leadership roles and among the kids. Who cares anyway?! Christ is the center of the program!

Except TrailLife bills themselves as a Christian organization. They are not. It is watered down at best and they are ecumenical rather than focused on actual Christian Doctrine. Christian Service Brigade is a better alternative.

For one this isn't Catholic, secondly BSA has had over 82,000 sexual assaults, and thirdly laughing about it is insensitive to survivors.
I share your concerns that this organization could become really perverse really quickly but right now it does look like a safer alternative.
