- We're duping Viral TikTok Christmas Decor with 4 easy & affordable Christmas Decor DIYs that anyone can do! I went thrifting and ended up finding the perfect Cookie Jar to DIY a Gingerbread House that looks so high end it could be sold at Pottery Barn! I also created a viral look for less with some Storage Books, a Mantel Swag or Garland, and a textured Christmas Tree that is perfect for Holiday Decorating!

That cookie jar is part of a whole collection. When the Victorian decor was trending these were in demand. I have the jar, creamer,sugar bowl,napkin holder and canisters. The colors of blue and pink were in demand for the Victorian and country style of decorating in the late 80’s and early 90’s. You did a great job painting the jar
We looked it up before we painted it & saw the collection! It’s so cute & I thought it would have been perfect for Spring decor! We’ve gone back to that Goodwill a few times hoping that whoever donated it had an entire set, but we haven’t seen anything else like it.
Thumbs up to thrift stores. The gingerbread house looks fantastic as do the books. The books would be multi functional, and I just thought of an idea. You could put chocolates or candy in the small one with tissue paper for Xmas day or a gift ❤
That would be a great Christmas gift!
I would have died to find those vintage Christmas mice 😍🤗 my momma had some in her collection of Christmas mice. I adored them as a kid. Homco 70's, I believe. What a find for someone 😊

Love them all. I'm going to try the swag for my fireplace. I put a 55 inch tv above the fireplace and didn't hang it high enough so my garland gets in the way of changing the TV. So I love the swag idea to give the fireplace a little holiday cheer as well thanks for sharing because I didn't even think of this.
It would be perfect for a smaller mantle! You could also add stems & picks to either side & secure them with zip ties to make the swag longer if you need to 🤗

Really looking forward to your Christmas decorating videos! The tree DIY was my fav! Super easy and inspiring! I love the idea of refreshing old stuff that may not be your vibe anymore! I have an old 90s Christmas village I'd like to paint (was my mom's and she passed on a year ago...she loved Christmas so I inherited nearly all her stuff).

Megan you are such a beautiful talented young lady, I love your channel however I live in the UK so not able to access the stores you frequent have you ever thought of doing a video where it caters for those that don’t live where you are? Does your analytics tell you how many followers live in different countries? Just a thought, thank you
My analytics does tell me where my viewers are watching from, however, I feel as though this video caters to everyone. Does the UK have access to thrift/secondhand shops? Or craft stores? I doesn’t have to be called the same thing as the ones here in the US. As long as you have those types of stores near you, you could find the supplies for every single DIY I worked on in this video. 😊

So cute!! I also re-paint gingerbread items, but I use puffy paint for the icing. Thanks for sharing.
Does puffy paint cure to be dishwasher safe? I was concerned about that, that’s why I painted them with the ceramic paints
@@lovinglifeasmeganNot sure if it is dishwasher safe. I don't put gingerbread items in dishwasher, just wipe them clean.

@lovinglifeasmegan Thank you, Megan. It's just grief that we are dealing with. My mom passed away suddenly in September, and my grandmother passed away last month. This will be the first holidays without them. The two strongest women in my life are now gone.
