Those copper heat pipes usually hold a partial vacuum, so as soon as you cut them open, the water that can already be in vapor form even just slightly above room temp, will re-condense into droplets usually somewhere else in the capillary wicks of the heat pipe, that you cannot see. Or, they are already there. Which is why it never really looks like they were actually filled with any liquid, aside from the fact that they don't put large amounts of liquid in them to start with. As heat is applied to the heat pipe’s surface, this causes the evaporator region within the pipe to heat the fluid inside and change it into a vapor. This phase change from fluid to vapor creates pressure. As pressure increases, vapor will naturally flow into the cooler section. Heat is released as the vapor condenses back into a fluid. The fluid will then flow back into the warm region, where the cycle will repeat, as long as there is heat applied.

Hey Jerry I don't see any videos for a v60 durability test... Would love to see one if it's not too much.

You must be one of the most patient people I've ever heard speak! Also, incredibly destailed! Question, do you provide phone repair services?
I think it is water resistant, but they didn't officially do it because the testing costs a lot of money and takes a lot of time. So thats why they can sell the phone cheaper
That's true. Its good phone and future proof.
That's what they say.
I dont believe it
@@michaelcorcoran8768 IP testing raises phone costs by an average between $10 and $30, which is significant when it doesn't actually do anything for the phone and it's a company trying to cut costs anywhere they can
@@milk1472 That's what OnePlus claims, but seems disingenuously put. They sell enough phones that the test wouldn't bite into profits enough to warrant it costing more. It would cost more because then they'd need to use different materials to seal the phone and change their warranty to reflect this waterproof rating.
@@SapientGalaxy I've definitely dunked both my op6 and 7 pro in their fair share of water without any problems. Do any smartphone companies have warranties against water damage?
I'm waiting for my name in that 100 phone giveaways... I hope One comes on my way... But HOPE IS HOPE AND HOPE CAN HURT...

Ok, this is weird. Phone cost much more than Redmi Note 7 (which ended like Nord), but it's OnePlus loved by Zack, so Nord is OK - not so solid, but Redmi Note 7 was shitty (that what I assumed from previous test and title of worst phone tested). Ridiculous...
Redmi Note 7 operating system is dogshit
What phone do you have?
bentleytaken Oxygen OS is broken on many levels too
@@bjently I don't think so, I use the MIUI, it's not that bad
I kind of thought the same thing. Excuse for it, isn’t there only a very small handful of phones that have ever snapped ?
I like that when I watch your videos, I never have to worry about what orientation my phone is in. A teardown video looks the same at all angles lol..
Underrated comment
Zack : we'll break this

"Replaceable batteries are pretty great"

Meanwhile on the battery: *Battery is not removable*
Replaceable, not removable. There is difference. But also different from NOT reasonably replaceable
Fascinating that they went to the trouble to protect each plug and socket from water ingress
Me trying to dig every online retail stores to get one of those nord's and you on other end ripping off in style
did you get it?
this video feels like an advertisement to me :S even midranger phones like Nord got bashed when they failed so I guess he wants to keep things as kind as possible not to hurt his relationship with Oneplus
Straight up. This phone is trash but every UA-cam tech head won't admit.
@@musiclehigh5314 It isnt trash, its a great phone
@@trey534 I can see you bought into the hype.
@@musiclehigh5314 No I didn't, its great specs for the price lol
@@musiclehigh5314 is not trash but is not that great either. So a midrange thing at best. But obviously one plus has hyped it
