- In August of 2023, I decided to quit my full-time job and take a gap year to travel the world. Four months into my adventure, allow me to share with you my trips so far, and why I'm on this journey.

Bro, you are doing what a lot of us dream of doing but lack the courage or capacity to do, yet every once in a while ,a free bird from amongst us will leave the nest. In this case, it’s you. Now, this journey is yours alone but you’ll be carrying the torch for everyone who dreams of doing the same. There may be hard times ahead, there may even be times where you question If you took the right decision, there may be times where you will struggle. we will not see that. Do you know what we will see? A successful filmmaker traveling the world, accumulating a fanbase, accumulating memories and visiting places. Good luck buddy 🙏✌️

found your channel while planning my trip to Singapore last week and it really didn't disappoint! so many vloggers, especially westerns (no offense) just don't know asian tradition/culture as well as asians or are just biased and recommend stuff that end up being tourist traps but after watching your videos, I feel like I've found a new tourist guide for my upcoming journeys as many of the places I wanna go, you've been to already! I grew up in Shanghai too!!! I am Korean but I lived in Korea the least so they treat me like an outsider there. I was always a foreigner in China despite spending most of my childhood there (all the visa runs lol). I've been in US the longest but I'm not American, either. I really relate to what you said about feeling like you don't belong anywhere. I used to say that I'm a citizen of the world. These days I feel more like a zombie. Omg the sitting in a dark room editing other people's exciting lives - feltttt😩 I've been grinding away as a freelancer in NYC for years and I feel soul death looming. I'm sure a lot of people would love to be in my position, and this city will always have a special place in my heart (just like Shanghai), but the rat race has been detrimental for my spirit. Lately all I do is daydream about taking off and seeing the world. The algorithm do be crazy, cus man... this gives me hope. Thank you for sharing your leap of faith. I'm sure it will influence mine. 一起加油吧!!!!! 🙌

i found your videos today, when i was searching through "singapore trip with kids" tips videos on UA-cam. i find that it is so inspiring, as i had that dream of travelling the world while i was younger. i have a little family of my own now and i don't know if i will be able to make that dream come true sometime, but you sharing your experience in videos like this definitely inspired me that one day, even though saving money seems hard to travel that much, is going to come true for me and my family. thank you for sharing.
