From Season 7 Episode 23 ''Moving On'': The team treats a seriously ill performance artist (Shohreh Aghdashloo) who deliberately induced additional symptoms in herself with the aim of turning the diagnostics department into her new masterpiece, as House must decide which of her symptoms are real, and which are self-inflicted. As the case progresses, House vows to make changes in his life, but remains rooted in old habits. House’s “Good for you” when she decides to prioritize her brain function over her health is so fucking good. She shared the exact same sentiment that he’s shared time and time again in the show, from her paradoxical artist’s perspective that House was shitting on the entire episode.

He’s saying good for you because they instead can use the resources to help people who aren’t extreme narcissistic frauds
@@ovs4744 that'd be pretty out of character. if House has any genuine sentiment towards lives saved, he doesn't express it. what he does express is his drive to solve puzzles, and, rarely, respect, when someone aligns with his worldview.

"One man's crazy is another woman's art" 🤣🤣🤣 what a ridiculous line, I couldn't stop laughing at it. Reminds me of the time my friend's car got keyed by his ex 😆
Funny thing, I find the fact they used that line intriguing because, by most people's account, House is crazy. And yet this woman sought him out, knowing his obsession would be something to behold, something to make into art
@@pomax1464 yes and people find that crazy girl beautiful and fun to be around. Doesn't make the object of those feelings any less crazy
Your friend's car became performance art
I mean, was your friend completely innocent of reasons to have their car keyed? She might have had a reason to do that, something even you weren't aware of.
Regardless, crazy is entirely subjective. To quote The Addams Family Musical "Normal is an Illusion darling. What's normal to the spider is a calamity to the fly"
There are plenty of artists who work based on past traumas and griefs as a form of catharsis and a way to communicate their pain in a visible/audible fashion. It's certainly better than drugs, alcohol and self harm at least. Are they all crazy?

Fire is not hot, it makes thing hot🥴
@@katokianimation and how does it make things hot without being hot?
@@theblackunicorn261In a way you're right, specifically about fire - it is hot; fire is always some kind of combustion, aka the oxidation of a fuel with an oxidiser, which is always an exothermic reaction, releasing energy in the form of heat. The oxidiser is usually oxygen, but doesn't have to be - there are other oxidisers which can do the job, sometimes more energetically than oxygen. For example, fluorine is a more powerful oxidiser - if you replace the liquid oxygen in a hydrogen/oxygen rocket engine with liquid fluorine, the combustion process is more energetic and the flame temperature will be hotter, significantly improving the efficiency and power output of the rocket.
Likewise with a fluorine carrying oxidiser such as chlorine trifluoride, which has the advantages of not being a cryogenic liquid as well as being a more concentrated fluorine source. It can actually burn substances which under most circumstances would not burn at all and could be used to extinguish other fires, such as water, sand, gravel or concrete.
However, there are ways of "making things hot" which do not require a heat source: The most well known of which is something you can find in most kitchens - a microwave oven. The magnetron inside a microwave is powered by high voltage electricity and emits microwave radiation. This radiation is not heat, but is emitted at a frequency which excites water molecules, literally causing them to vibrate at a molecular level. This energy delivered to water molecules becomes heat, which is why microwave ovens can heat up water or anything which contains water, which includes pretty much everything we consider to be food.
Another example is something also used as a kitchen appliance - an induction cooker. This again is not a heat source - underneath the surface of an induction "hotplate" is a coil of copper wire which generates a rapidly oscillating electromagnetic field. It is essentially the primary (input) side of an electrical transformer, but without a secondary (output) side present, which is why the induction cooker does nothing when there is no pan on top of it. When you put a steel pan on it, the base of the pan essentially becomes the secondary (output) side of the transformer, which absorbs the oscillating magnetic field. The steel is then rapidly magnetised in oscillating and opposing directions, which converts the electromagnetic energy into thermal energy with almost 100% efficiency, heating up the pan and cooking your food.
I love that her entire reason for dieing is solely to cement herself as an artist. If she proves she has brain damage than her art is no longer art. Its just the ravings of a lunatic.

Even tho she was misdiagnosed, because of the show, someone else found her illness. That should disqualify her. House thinks only he can find rare conditions.
