The reunion was awful with a terrible Adam recast. But this was a great way to end Steven. He came out completely, Blake accepts him and there is closure.
I like the way Bart was in effect saying to Steven "hey, at least your father who just got out of prison is still alive so you still have the chance to make him understand about being gay - which I no longer have with my Dad" (his Dad, Buck - one of Blake's nemeses - was at least as homophobic as Blake). I noticed that the tension between Blake and Steven regarding Steven's being gay was more intense when Al Corley was in the part instead of Jack Coleman.
Al Corley broke the ground as Stephen. That first season the tension as off the chart. By Jack Coleman’s time on the show Blake was mellowing and John Forsythe wanted to be seen more as a patriarch than the season 1 heavy.
There was no explanation to Steven's new look. Did he get plastic surgery over the past two years. As far as Steven being apprehensive towards his father, that was resolved a long time ago. Did both of them had a falling out during the years Blake was in prison? Talk about a major plot flaw! You'd think the writers of the Reunion would look back and pick up where Blake and Steven left off. That way, the viewer will know that the characters have evolved.
This Steven was in the first part of the original Dynasty. Al Corly left. Steven went to Singapore where he worked at an Oil rig. That rig exploded and Steven got his face burnt They needeed to do a plastic surgary on his face. That "operation" lead to the Steven you may know, played by Jack Coleman. Jack Coleman left after a long time in Dynasty. No explaination what happened to him but Steven turns up here played by Al Corly again. Al Corly said once: I started the Dynasty and I will finish it......
Such bad writing, Blake and Steven were very close by the later seasons, Blake was no longer homophobic, the reunion reset everyone’s personalities back several years

I was so glad to see Al Corley playing Steven one last time. It was one of the good things of that disappointing so-called reunion.
