Hey guys, today we're making Malfatti. It's one of those winter recipes that I love the most, they're very simple to make, extremely soft with no potatoes, with a texture that reminds the classic Italian potato Gnocchi.
I try to make this almost every winter when January comes, and it's the perfect cozy dinner with a glass of red wine.
You can also freeze them once they're shaped and use them at your convenience, they will be good for a month or two in the freezer.
It's a perfect vegetarian dish but you can definitely experiment with different sauces, I kept it in the way they are done in Italy with a simple butter, sage, and Parmigiano sauce. It's one of the most delicate dishes I know and deserves a spot in the Mile Zero Kitchen. Let's make them together.
    For the Malfatti:
    300 gr Fresh Spinach
    25 gr Butter
    Half of an Onion
    400 gr Ricotta
    80 gr Parmigiano
    1 Egg
    130 gr AP Flour
    Salt and Pepper to taste
    For the Sauce:
    50 gr Butter
    30 gr Parmigiano
    Fresh Sage leaves
KITCHEN EQUIPMENT USED IN THIS VIDEO:
    AP Flour: amzn.to/3xO37BK
    Flour Sieve: amzn.to/3W4KynE
    Veggie KNIFE: amzn.to/34yWRlO
Super Cool - Heat Resistance up to 932F Oven Mitts: amzn.to/32PEhlG

    Bonjour de France,
In Italian "malfatti" does not mean "poorly cooked" but "poorly done" the equivalent of rustic or crudely executed, without refinement.
If this is a fault of the automatic translator, I apologize. Still, your recipe and video are excellent. It is just a pity that you do not indicate the number of malfatti made with these quantities.
    Thank you for sharing

If I may, maybe you should go a bit less over the top for the sfx ; it feels odd, especially comparing to how subtle and tasteful everything is now on your channel ;)

Thanks for the suggestion ! The majority of the audio is recorded by a zoom mic for extra space but sometimes are foley too. I’ll definitely keep it into consideration:)

Im not a friend of boiling that. I`d instead fry it before wahsing out all the flavor. I`m hungry now :-)
