What little 🦫's you guys are. You guys ROCK!!! Theo, amazing job! You are lucky to have a hard working woman by your side. I will be happy/sad to see the finish project. This has been an amazing build. I usually watch your travel videos to keep me in the travel mode since covid clipped our wings. Been doing some modifications to our class A, 2000 Fleetwood Bounder. Do you guys still plan to do some traveling when all is done to your property? Probably too early to ask huh? (just wondering.) God bless you guys and stay safe. Theo makes me nervous everytime he is on that scaffolding. (I have still not gotten on top of our RV, too high) Thanks guys for sharing this with all of us. 🙏🏾✌🏾🙌🏾
When cleaning out your mixer put a couple of half bricks inside as it will help remove any dry morter from inside. That way you don't have to keep banging on the outside
Can't lie, you both and the barn are such a part of my Sundays. I have been needing to remind myself of things I am thankful for this week, it has been a tough one, and you are on the list. I always feel uplifted after watching one of your videos. Nothing feels impossible after watching you. The workout from moving all those stones... wow. So impressed with what you've done.
We have enjoyed watching every episode from the United States, and this week is very special because it is the first episode we have watched from our new home in Portugal. On lockdown now in Obidos, but we hope to see your place one day. Awesome stone work. You two are very talented .
I can pretty much understand written Portuguese from the Spanish I have, but spoken sounds Iceland to me! I hope to change that one day. Hope you settle into your new home and that 2021 brings you lots of joy.
You guys never disappoint.Theo has got to be the hardest working person on the planet. The gable looks amazing. Thanks for another Sunday morning coffee with my favorite Indies. 😘😘😘😘
You two are relentless! If you ever get down, look back to when you first arrived at the property. Nice to see Fernando getting back to normal, he's getting big!
I love Theo's enthusiasm about new tools. He reminds me of my late husband, Gary, when we were building our house back in 1983-86. He is doing a beautiful job with his masonry as well as wood working.
Theo is like a professional. Even better because you put your heart and soul beyond the cement and stones you choose. It is a real pleasure to follow your adventure. We just love you guys. Never give up ... If you need extra hands you can count on us. 💕💪
Theo you are just so charming and such a steady hard working soul! What a delight when you work together with such humour and patience. Bea you’re always cheerful and laughing, an amazing team! The chickens are so gorgeous and Fernando a delight whenever he appears. Always excited for Sunday morning when I can see you again💕😊
Yup! We are just at 19 with another half foot of snow coming. Our two feet from last week had melted down a bit so WOW just in time!! Haha! More coming Tuesday. We are certainly having a cold, snowy winter so far! Stay warm everyone.
Hey there! I am portuguese, from Açores Islands (São Miguel) and I follow your work since the first video of the stone barn conversion. Me and my boyfriend enjoy so much watching you every sunday. Your energy is very contagious, you're a good influence in our projects. Keep the good vibes and the awesome work! 🥰💋
Your excitement is so contagious. I've been w/ you guys since you were diggging out the brambles and vines----and finding critters under the dirty straw 'floor'. An amazing journey- I love coming for a visit each week! Thank-you massively for all the invites. Laura from Michigan USA
I hope people who watch your videos realize how much manual labour goes into the beautiful work you do! So inspiring. It surely does'nt just come to you while you sit around idly! Love from South Africa
Moving all those rocks is a real workout! No need for a gym! The stonework under the gable is really nicely done...Theo is going to be dreaming about stones with nice faces for months :)
It is very inspiring to watch you both. You have done an absolutely great job so far - on the house (the covered veranda has already become so beautiful and I can't wait to see how the interior work will continue.), on the chicken coop, on your shower area and I really hope that the trees you have planted will someday give you rich fruits. I wish you continued enthusiasm and pleasure, and send you warm greetings from snow-covered Germany.
Hey Bee I am from Perth Australia and we have plenty of heat here and always use mulch around our trees to keep the plants moist in summer. My local plant nursery recommends when you plant a plant and put mulch around it to make sure the mulch is just a bit away from the stem of the bush or tree. This prevents the plant rotting and enables the water to get through to the roots. I noticed when you planted your fruit trees you put the scrub that was lying on the ground right around the trees. May be better to just clear a small circle around the base of the trunk of the trees for better absorption of the water especially in summer. Love watching your channel each week thanks so much. Alison
That gable end looks amazing. Theo and Bea, wow, what a team you are. My Sunday coffee is so much more pleasant with you kids. Keep up the great work. Your home is going to be so beautiful. I can’t wait. Cheer.
It is just lovely how you guys interact with each other. ! Theo is becoming very skillful with the stones ! Well done guys , everything is coming together beautifully ! 😊💗
You 2 darlings should be so proud of what you are doing - pretty much just the 2 of you! I am proud of you and I'm not your Mum's! I love tuning in to watch you with my Sunday morning coffee!
The gable is stunning! What a great job Theo👏👏👏👏👏 I always look forward to Sunday morning! I love how informative and responsive you are, it really makes me feel like you are friends with all of your commenters and supporters! CHEERS!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Stay safe, be sell and see ya next time👋👋👋👋
These two are simply amazing, esp. Theo! His work ethic is unbelievable (fantastic) and his devotion to Bea, and this project is brilliant!! He is very skilled, has an analytical mind, and tons of common sense. Great job guys!! Stay safe.
Great job Theo! I watch a ton of documentaries called 'Restoration Home' and 'Build a New Life in the Country' where people restore old, run down buildings and make them into houses. The stone houses are by far my favorite! I am LOVING following along on your journey! In the documentaries they always hire professionals to do the stone work so I guess Theo is a professional!😁
Looks like Fernando’s “tutoring” didn’t stop any of his “productivity.” You both have done such an amazing job on the stone work. Your videos of the renovation keep me riveted!
If there is a plant you're looking for an can't find locally, there are a lot I've found on Etsy. All that I've got are well packaged and have grown well. Also, Theo stone work looks so good!
It’s amazing! Those stones that Theo has been using look like they were made for the various spots. Hard workers both. Bee you are truly an inspiration to me. I love witnessing all you do. Such a great, loving team. Barn looks great 👍🏼
My dremel is/was my favorite tool, does sooo much, so well. (I am a 75 yr old woman.) Now my son uses it and loves it too. 😁 Great job guys!! Can't wait for next week.
when you done withthe barn plant lavender all round it , you have water on your land so mosquitos too , also plant garlic close to the barn , and yeah lemon trees too , they do not like lemon you can plant lemon balm it helps too, you can use it in the home to repel insects and rubbed onto the skin it does too , there are other things too , plant to repel and life will be much more pleasant
Totally agree, they all work and they are useful for in the kitchen too. Mice and rats really do not like peppermint or spearmint which also repel insects.
I use rosemary around the outside. You don't need to cut but put your hand around a stem and pull gently getting the oils on your hand and put on arms, neck and legs. Smells good and helps repel those pesty old mosquitoes. Florida, USA
You're both so tough! But remember to take care of your backs and knees, both of you, when lifting those rocks! (That's the privilege of being older, giving free advice you often don't follow yourself!) ;) The about 1 inch of white snow lighting everything up, both day and night, and make it possible to walk the dog (and 1-2 cats usually come with us) when we walk along the fields down to the nearby forest, and without the use of any light. But the ice-cold wind is a gamechanger! For all of us! We don't mind if the spring comes a little early this year .. and speaking of spring and summer: Watching your videos is like a "sneak peek" of all the best; your smile, laughs, positivity, and the amazing nature around you, it all sure lifts the spirit up there in the cold north! Btw: Loved the sequences taken with Theo's "belly-cam" :D Lots of love to all of you people, cats and chicken ... and even the rats and huge spiders, if they just realize it's about time for them to move on! Bon Voyage!
My Sunday is always off to a great start watching your progress. Stone hoarding is an art form! The gable looks so seamless as if it was always there! Well done. And thanks for your update.
🙋hi from Scotland ,wow well done you made a fabulous job of the gable you two should be so proud of yourselves I can't wait till next week to see what happens next I could watch you for days stay safe take care Anne Scott from Scotland ❄️❄️❄️
The gable end looks stunning,Theo really is talented. Loved little Fernando joining in,always nearby, and the Hens all looking fine n dandy, and can I just ask Bee to please wear some gloves when working? When you were moving those stones with Theo I was cringing thinking of your hands and nails get rough shod. See you next week, can't wait.x
You two r lifting 💪🏾loads of heavy equipment and stones, it wld be prudent for you to wear back support. e.g a bck belt... which will save your bck n long run... be safe... 👍🏾👌🏾🦋🤗
Are you going to make a composter, would be interested to see how you build one, also those large stones would be great for a raised herb garden as well, love these vids, sat in a grey bleak four walls on lockdown your vids are the only sunshine i see.
This series is getting me SO excited for my project. I’ve got a little off grid stone cottage back home in Ireland. I’m in Australia at the moment, saving up to renovate. I’m so excited for Covid to be over, to be nearer my family and just be home on my land, renovating my little place.
Love the way you two have come on over the years, barrel idea is fantastic, been watching you virtually since you started, lived in pt for 5 years myself, back in UK now, miss it!! Watching you brings back memories, built my house out there from scratch, no one could understand the difficulty of sourcing the simpkist things unless you've done it!
Some recommendations for your trees- from a fellow dry climate gardener. build a stone circle around the trees a minimum of 1 foot from the trunk. The stone will cause additional condensation from dew for your trees; as well as creating a natural tree well for deep watering. In a dry climate it’s better to water deeply infrequently to develop deep roots. 2x per week while establishing and once per week after. If you don’t have irrigation try tree bags that drip into the soil. Also use your excess leaves from elsewhere to create 2-6 inch mulch layer ( but don’t let it touch the trunk)
The lag bolt with the chestnut beam ledge will look great 👍 You could drill a short larger hole, counter sink one lag fastener and fill with beautiful peg to drape fairy lights over. The pegs could be removed to tighten the fastener if needed and eventually be glued. The barn is looking AMAZING❗️ 👍
So lovely to watch you laughing together as you work. A real antidote to lockdown here in UK and I love how you both get stuck in to whatever you do. Nice arm muscles showing when you were moving stones Bea!
I have been following you AND fretting about the not-finished gables for some time now. To see the first gable finished and looking GLAMOROUS made me so ridiculously happy. Must be some sort of obsession. Gables. Who would've thought. Me and the hubby are too looking for a stone-built barn to turn into a tiny home, we're currently in our 2nd year on Mallorca - and you are my role models. No pressure there! Keep up the good work, I'm constantly in awe of the two of you! Lo
Time to grab my coffee and cozy up to the tv to watch my favourite couple .... the two of you are an amazing ... I’m so excited to see you start inside the cottage ... it’s-33 here feels like-46 brrrr.i love the weather there...from Winnipeg: Canada 🇨🇦 hugs for Ginger Bear & Fernando ❤️❤️
I can't wait to see you two every week! I love your enthusiasim for life. Your stone barn home is a dream for most people! I am always so happy for you.! XOXOXO
Usually Rocks (aka diamonds )are a girls best friend , but Theo has taken it to a new level!! It’s looks fantastic!! Taking your time got the job done like a professional. Congrats
Hi Guys. Happy Sunday. Your never failing enthusiasm is a much needed shot in the arm for me. I couldn't help laughing at Bea who had to dust off her hands in between each roll of the stone. Just like me with flour dough. Can't wait to get it off. Love you guys. Great job Theo and remember to lift with your legs.
"And today's episode is sponsored by.. Theo bra.." A masculine ill fitted bra for your amusement.. 😂You guys really entertain us! Looking amazing, the stonework that is! Its like you never done anything else Theo! Well done! Thank you for sharing!
i can imagine the look on a visitor's face when you give water from your metal container! I wonder if you could put some metal dragging piece on your little tractor to break up ground ie where those rocks up. all the best
Oh my goodness!! Theo that is looking amazing and beautiful!!! And about the rocks, perhaps people think that we are crazy when we say that they are beautiful but they really do. And if there are left over you can always make something with them. Well done guys. 👏👏👏👏😊 Se cuidan chicos. Adiós 🤗💖

Your tool is called a ‘chisel and point crowbar’ (or pinch bar). We have one and it’s handy for the garden.
When cleaning out your mixer put a couple of half bricks inside as it will help remove any dry morter from inside. That way you don't have to keep banging on the outside

The pair of you bring such joy to my Sundays! I love seeing your progress and your chickens 🐔 and the furry children 🐈🐾🥰
You've come a long way with your building skills since I watched you taking out your stove on your barge, keep up the good work 👍
Thank you 😊

I just love how your vision is becoming reality! Well done y’all! 👍🥰
You guys are just wonderful and such hard workers. Your home is coming together beautifully. God bless your efforts! 🙏🥰❤🐈
Thank you Linda!
Theo is doing a brilliant job on the stone work! Loving the series. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely!
I did many things like this on my acreage and 9000sf organic garden, never used anything toxic to land, animals or humans.
Great advice🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Totally agree, they all work and they are useful for in the kitchen too. Mice and rats really do not like peppermint or spearmint which also repel insects.
Lemongrass also repels mosquitoes and gnats.
I use rosemary around the outside. You don't need to cut but put your hand around a stem and pull gently getting the oils on your hand and put on arms, neck and legs. Smells good and helps repel those pesty old mosquitoes.

When you were moving those stones with Theo I was cringing thinking of your hands and nails get rough shod. See you next week, can't wait.x
Thank you!
I agree Bee, you need to get some gloves
Yes a nice pair of leather gloves are essential for living in the country and working on the land. Gardening gloves are not enough, get leather. 😎
@@myfavs253 ,I have heavy duty Riggers that are not leather( I wouldn't wear leather), they are very hard wearing and up to the job :)
I hope Bee does get gloves, her hands will be so sore after a day of that.
The gable is so clean and sharp looking and the stones you put in, look like they've always been there. Well done.
You two r lifting 💪🏾loads of heavy equipment and stones, it wld be prudent for you to wear back support. e.g a bck belt... which will save your bck n long run... be safe... 👍🏾👌🏾🦋🤗

So glad to see you excited about the build again. You are the greatest. ❤️
Blimey! Good work on the stone work guys! Watching the stone being delivered was really interesting. That must be a sturdy truck to do that.
Thank you! Really happy with it. They overload that truck way to much 🤣
I will be sure to tune in next week. I look forward to watching them every week. Your the sweetest couple ever. I love you guys .

Great idea! Or to support some low walling to create terracing when they eventually get around to doing some garden landscaping.

I wonder if they “get” that? Know the Flintstones?
You both are a fantastic couple. So enjoyable to watch. I feel we are all on the journey with you. ❤️
But you do have a digger 😮 What kind of attachments do you have on your farm tractor. You could easily put a hydrolic backhoe on the back.

Love you guys. Great job Theo and remember to lift with your legs.
