Crumbling Together is a perfect track in my opinion The atmosphere built is exactly like the visual on the album cover, The lyrics also tell a story comparing a relationship to a tower they built together in an ocean and as they drift apart it crumbles, because the relationship is something you built together and it cannot stand if both do not support it. at least that's my interpretation of the lyrics. It goes from lulling calm ambient runs to flutters which to me sound like stability and then more crumbling (respectively) like the fluttering is parts of the tower falling into the ocean The sudden fluttering at the end is almost an indicator and confirmation that the relationship did crumble at last.
Highly recommend the album 98.12.28 Otokotachi No Wakare by Fishmans if you have'nt listened to it already. Although the album is over 2 hours, it is a really nice and dreamy album. The second side is mostly the last song LONG SEASON - Live. And I personally think that all of the songs are performed and mixed better than the studio versions, especially LONG SEASON. I think it's the highest ranked live album on rateyourmusic and the last song has a rating of 99 or 100 on albumoftheyear. I think it's also elevated a bit due to the sad backstory of this album. Basically the frontman died a month after this performance. Sad shit but an absolutely slammin' album.
you listening to this gem earned the follow. Have loved this album since it was released, such spectacular writing and production and totally unknown as far as I can tell
Honestly, if you like albums like this I have a few that I highly recommend (as someone who has religiously listened to crumbling together over and over again) Windswept adan - ichiko aoba (or any of her albums but I have an inherent bias because I watched this live) To see the next part of the dream - paranoul (another Korean artist) Any album by lamp (yume is my favourite)
Oh my God those recs are so good. I was excited by your comment bc ive been looking for albums like this for years now, but instead was also pleasantly surprised to see all my favorites
I don't think you've reacted to any Emo yet so I'm gonna just throw this out there. The Brave Little Abacus - Just Got Back From the DIscomfort-We're Alright It's the highest rated Emo album on RateYourMusic
dude trust me; you HAVE to listen to miracle in transit by naked flames. i saw you enjoyed aphex twins SAW and this, and i feel like it you would enjoy it based on that
The soundscape and mixing is on par with C418's music. But the atmosphere is so unique and highly immersive. Every detail was so subtle and amazing to the ears
I was wondering if you have any kind of way for us to see what albums you've already reacted to, just so we know you haven't already heard a recommendation.
I was thinking about that too. Maybe in the future I’ll make a video talking about albums that I already know. I do usually reply to comments from albums I’ve already heard though.
Not only is bro on his cultured music game, but now he's on his professional thumbnail game 😳
