I worked on an RB20 and an RB25 and both made that same whine and both were dying turbos. the RB25 has a crazy amount of shaft play when we took it out!

I figured its the turbo, but I took it out today and there is barely any shaft play which makes me wonder... but an HX35 is replacing old turbo ;)

my 90' miata has a LSD, some of my friends had the mid 90's miatas and they didnt have a LSD. so i was pretty lucky

No theyre not..theyre small, light, and fun as hell to drive. I've seen some done where they look badass as fuck. Not to mention most of the parts for miatas are so damn cheap. (exhaust, rims, coil overs) I could give two shits what people think of when they see what car i drive. I love the experience of driving. That's it.

Most mx5s have open diffs, unless he was a lucky one with the optional extra LSD. Not all 1.6 mx5s have a Viscous LSD, in fact its pretty uncommon.
