Good day sir! I stumbled across an issue that did not seem answered in the comments below. I get some weird noise on the mesh that is being simulated when I "Run Simulation". I have played with the settings and it has not changed anything. If it is ok to send a link with the issue in question please let me know. Since I have last taken your class I have not been able to get into 3d for some time. Picking things up again now, I am glad to see the same quality of learning on your videos. Thank you for providing these great tutorials for the community. Keep doing what you do! Relearning Zbrush has been a blast! EDIT: After watching more of your videos (literaly the next video "012 Custom Spotlight Pattern Dress") it seems to be an issue that occasionally happens and the best way to deal with it is to Deformations>Polish.
Thanks for this. Now I can go and create my gladiator loin clothes and numidian cavalry tunics. I was not able to do the narrow pinch look on the tank tops in marvelous designer. I got close but was not satisfied with the results.
There are so many amazing tools that are in ZBrush, you just have to get past the initial learning curve. Thanks for all of the great tutorials. I’ll definitely look into your spotlight videos!
Had trouble involving a 3rd object. I had a big cloth belt wrap that I wanted to be tight with the dress folds pushing around it but the dress would always consume the belt even after recalc
Any time I use any of the cloth brushes or dynamics on a mesh I want to have as clothing over another model, no matter what dynamic resolution I set it at I get tons of random bumps and artifacts, and wrinkles are not smooth at all no matter what dynamic smoothness setting I use. When I use one of the example projects like the cloth-through-ring, it works fine and the folds are super nice and realistic. Anyone know what is happening or what I need to do differently?
This was happening to me as well - it was creating wild artifacts. I ended up playing around with the dynamics settings and it stopped. Not sure what the issue was
@@TaylorColpitts cool! Yeah I ended up being able to get it to work sometimes and not others. I'm not sure what the difference is or why, as you said. Any time I use the dynamic morph functions (inflate, deflate, etc) it still gives me the artifacts. But it seems if I haven't activated that function yet, the cloth brushes at least are working much better.
Hey Michael, looking at getting the ideation set. Is it going to be updated for 2021 or you just going to pop those on UA-cam? Sorry if this question has been asked and answered already. I looked for a while (didn’t see) so figured I’d ask.
Hey! Uhm... one question, where I can find that spotlight clothing pattern? Should I download from somewhere? Its not showing in my 2020.1.4 zbrush version. Thanks :)
Hmm...I've done a couple of clean installs on my home and work machine, and they both have the clothing patterns in the lightbox > spotlight tab, so it should be included in your zbrush install. In other words, when you hit the comma key or click the lightbox button, go to the spotlight tab, there's SHOULD be a few clothing spotlights you can load up, unless something went sideways during the install (I think?)
This is so sick. Marvelous even.
Its helping me become a marvelous designer
I memorized all that in one viewing! Haha, I wish.
You just saved my life.. digitally, anyway

Beautiful, love these tutorials
When I run the simulation my mesh disappears, any idea what the problem can be?
I wonder how well this works with the focal shift gizmo changes for creating creases and folds
Where Can i Get this Cloth Spotlight ZSL File Please Help Me
this is just amazing.

Do you apply the dynamic sub?

In the next video "012 CUSTOM Spotlight Pattern Dress" he comes across the same issue and seems to solve it with Deformations>Polish.
Press the comma key and go to spotlight. I'll be darned.
Im having issue where the dress keeps shrinking and gets so thin and short its basiclly a gstring..?
very well done tutorial! congrats :)
Wonderful
Amazing Mike thank you 🤘
very useful thanks
Thank you
Thank you so much !!!!!!!!!
Where did you get the female full body tool? is it available for purchase on your gumroad?
This one isn't, but there is a new Male and Female .ZPR in the Lightbox - Project tab that's pretty close in ZBrush 2021.6.2
Oops nm I figures it out!! Lol thx...this is pretty cool.

I'll be updating the ideation course to keep it current, but the What's New playlist will have all the updated functionality deep dives
Michael Pavlovich should I wait for the updates or can I re-download the updated ones?
@@justincase9504 you'll be able to re-download the updated videos, or just download the 2021 folder once it's been added
can you use the old transpose tool (Y) with the cloth sim?
Doesn’t work for T shirts.
RIP Marvelous
When i generate a shirt, it's offset from the body by a few inches or so. why is yours directly on the mesh?
I'm realizing inflate was set to 1, for anyone wondering!
Excellent as always Michael
Nice Tutorial, thanks so much for sharing your knowledge Michael! :-)

Thanks for the awesome tutorials.
Michael, you are a Zbrush Guru! Thank you so much!
So CPU is important here. My Simulation rate steps per spec is only 4.
ZBrush has always been 100% CPU based. Nothing new.

Oh, just noticed your version - yeah, this came with 2021
@@MichaelPavlovich Thank you so much! recently saw your videos, everything's very clean on what you're explaining. Thanks again! Kissesss
Snapshot 3d is doing nothing when i click it.
make sure the pattern is selected (highlighted in orange) before hitting the snapshot button
Zbrush is a sculpt soft going to automatic all the sculpting process -_-
ikr.. where even is all the skill part.. i am still a noob but my god i would never want sculpting to be so skill-less, easy and quick. I hate this.
Is it only me to find it usless? Where are the UV tools that were showned a while ago?
1) yes 2) I don't know
