I had a feeling that the title Love and Thunder had a deeper meaning, but I didn’t expect it to be nicknames for Thor and his new daughter. A decade ago I never imagined they would implement the screaming goat meme into a comic book film, but here we are. They don't mention their names out loud, but they're called Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder. The New Asgard tour guide is Darryl Jacobson. He appeared in the Team Thor One-Shots and starred in his own short titled Team Darryl. Gorr's daughter Love was portrayed by Chris Hemsworth's real-life daughter India Rose. In fact, Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, and Taika Waititi had their kids join as some of New Asgard's children. In fact, the kids that were brought to set were asked to draw monsters on paper. Then those drawings were submitted to the visual development team to create the shadow monsters that we see in the final film. Imagine if the Guardians knew about Eternity. If they stuck around long enough, either Nebula or Peter would have wished to revive Gamora whereas Drax would bring back his wife and daughter. I didn't expect for them to be around for much of the movie, but when I saw it in theaters for the first time I was hoping to at least get a teaser about where they're headed next. With that said, I can’t wait for you to check out their holiday special and of course Volume 3. Lastly, if Jane and Heimdall managed to arrive to Valhalla, I wonder if original Loki also made it in. He did try to stop Thanos himself. Maybe that alone qualifies as a warrior's death to grant him entry. At least we still have his analyst double who's no different than the original. He's still our one and the same Loki. I'm not gonna lie: I was hoping for a cameo from Analyst Loki, but I guess it isn't time for the brothers to reunite just yet. Hopefully we see them together in one of the upcoming Avengers films. One's gonna be called the Kang Dynasty, and the other Secret Wars. We still have a ways to go, but the Avengers will reassemble.
As others noted, the throne of scissors is the rock-beat-scissors joke (which Korg also referenced when they first met, saying he was the pile of rocks speaking, and there was nothing to fear, unless you're made of scissors). Also, it's a poke at the Throne of Swords in Game of Thrones, which was made by the dragons melting the armory - fire beats steel. And, the goat yell was real, from a popular video-turned-meme from a few years back, because it doesn't sound like a goat at all.
IMHO, Jane's cancer is a direct result of having the ether (infinity stone) in her. She was a mere mortal after all. Korg's God's chair... Rock, Paper , Scissors perhaps?
23:20 Notice the 5 year misunderstanding... she was snapped by Thanos as well. She thought it was 3 years when it was 8, half of all life was gone for 5 years.
No Thor babies, but love is played by Hemsworth's daughter. 5:41 Greek gods bled gold ichor. This movie did that somewhat more accurately than most movies and shows, though this isn't a Greek god. 6:36 His Wife from the Fast and Furious movies, Elsa Pataky.
It seem like, Gorr was obviously realize that Thor just bleed "red" not gold in the final battle. So he would trust him afterly because Thor not greedy.
I am certain nobody pays attention to these movies... Mjolnir is the only weapon that you have to be worthy to wield it. Odin put that enchantment on it himself in the first Thor movie. Stormbreaker doesn't have that. Therefore anybody can wield Stormbreaker
Only Thor's hammer had the worthiness requirement. We saw that enchantment created by Odin in the first Thor movie, when he banished Thor to Earth. Stormbreaker was created after Odin died, so it never had that enchantment- anyone physically and mentally strong enough can wield it.
Just to be clear Mjolnir was enchanted to bestow the power of thor onto who ever wields the hammer and is deemed worthy; so in fact, thor USED to get his power through the hammer, but only because he was flawed in his character. Odin made thor realize that Thor doesn't need the hammer to get the power Thor, he isn't the god of hammers, he is the god of thunder, and he has this power in himself. But Jane wielding the hammer gives her the same powers as Thor, but at an expense that Thor never suffered because he was already a god.

Indeed. Frankly I suspect it's the beginning of thor coming into his inheritance, even if the throne isn't his. The Odinforce wasn't all shooting golden energy beams after all. Remember when he stripped Thor of his power? Manipulation of magic is part of the Odinforce. It's how he was able to defeat Surtr, by dividing his power between the crown and the flame. He probably used a little bit of it when he gave the kids power but didn't notice. In greek mythology zeus has turned people into gods, that's probably one of the things his bolt can do.

There's still a very disgruntled small percentage of people who unite to yell as loud as they csn together to make sure their disdain is noted. Weird flex, but okay... but, how dare anyone enjoy the movie on their watch. 🙄 Get real, folks.
You can like this film just same as disliking it, the writing may be funny and heartwarming to you but to others it can be cringey and lazy.
@@DecSteele It's fine to feel how you feel. It's obsessive and unnatural to crusade against a movie each time you get the chance.
@@ivankawnartist I never said how I feel about it 😂 I’m saying to you it’s very much fine if someone things it’s complete cat piss. Also alright if someone thinks it’s the best type of marvel content. Just as people have the right to say aw man I loved this movie so much here’s why….etc their allowed to do the opposite
@DecRFC I didn't imply you were stating how you felt. I was simply adding to your sentiment in different words. But yes, one can feel something is whatever they feel it is. I can feel a newborn child is ugly. It doesn't mean I would want to vocalize that because it's unnecessary and toxic behavior. It just is what it is. Is it wrong to desire not to be rude to all the people who put food on their family's table just because I don't find something to be my cup of tea? Eh. That's veering off into another topic of discussion.
THANK YOU!! Finally someone with a brain!
It was awesome seeing the entity Eternity.. The characters in comics but I remember the silver surfer animated series she being a part of it very interesting character , Also on the same streaming service that does movies on can't say the D + word without getting my comment deleted for some reason but they didn't really give her lines in this , Extremely powerful being ...I think Love at the end inherited some of her powers not 100% sure... But yeah the Necro sword is related to venom species there's more to it...
You mean Disney+ ?
When Korg's God is on the throne of scissors. It was the directors humor showing that Rock beats scissors. Just a small funny easter egg he felt like putting in. The Blue alien people at the beginning he referred to as smurfs. I watched the whole directors commentary and it was really entertaining hearing his fun twists he added.
The scene in the guardians ship after he gets the goats is ridiculous man, hemsworth physical transformation again is mental. I don’t care if he’s juiced he looks like he could crush a Nokia with this biceps
Analyst Loki can't go back to his own timeline, though. Unless season 2 ends with that actually happening, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.
@@EntertainmentFan11 Actually maybe Loki has to..to like fight the versions of He who Remains together
I like how they portray zues, right exactly in greek mythology his lazy, playboy, and coward
I don't care what people say, this is a good movie. Just don't like the goats so much but overall I'll give it an A
I LOVE LOVE AND THUNDER!!!!!!!!!!
Love you and your reactions ❤️
I cant wait to see more of Love Gorrdottir in future movies. Would love to see a take on the Young Avengers.
No Thor babies, but love is played by Hemsworth's daughter.
5:41 Greek gods bled gold ichor. This movie did that somewhat more accurately than most movies and shows, though this isn't a Greek god.
6:36 His Wife from the Fast and Furious movies, Elsa Pataky.
there are goats that scream like that. lol
29:50 A lot of gods are actually based on other mythologies featured here. Actually pretty cool.
I absolutely loved this movie,it was hard for me to take this movie seriously because of the comedy.but overall l thought this movie was really great.
I think Jane's catch phrase at the end is "Love and Thunder"
Just so you know the girl who plays his daughter actually is his daughter
There is no "worthy" enchantment on stormbreaker, so anyone can wield it.
The wolf woman is his actual wife lol irl
12:42 Thor always used goats to ride around rather than the MCU Thor using Mjolnir. The screaming thing is something goats do, but not this much.
She said not kill Valkyrae not Valkyrie lol
Natalie Portman stood on a box or platform to add the height. She's awesome, it was a shame to see her leave Marvel. I hope she stays.
Only Thor's hammer had the worthiness requirement. We saw that enchantment created by Odin in the first Thor movie, when he banished Thor to Earth. Stormbreaker was created after Odin died, so it never had that enchantment- anyone physically and mentally strong enough can wield it.
Them sitting on a scissor throne is take as a rock paper scissor joke and it's him showing he beat the enemy which would be scissors since he's rock
In mythology Thor has a chariot pulled by two goats.
Hi Colette hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
Only the hammer checks if your worthy, not the axe!
59:03 "No shit, you abandoned them and don't give a shit."
29:22 It's a throne of scissors, because rock beat scissors. They probably have papyrophobia, fear of paper.
The mad laghter is hilarious. We felt all the same feels in theater
I loved this movie more than I thought I would but the goats certainly made it for me then and the soundtrack, I love the fact they used guns n roses
I disagree. I despised this movie. Everything in this movie went wrong. The goats and the soundtrack are two examples.
@@captainhowlerwilson508 you clearly have no taste and I feel bad for you
@@WelshAmethystGirl087 Wrong! I have better taste than you. I like the songs, but they made this movie more annoying and Korg is one of the most annoying side characters now because of his narration.
@@captainhowlerwilson508 the korg thing I agree with 100% he was a pointless and unessesary character not needed beyond ragnarok. However saying that the soundtrack was banging and the goats were the goat. I think the idea with this movie was to be more guardians and less serious. I really enjoyed it plus seeing his real life family in the movie made it more wholesome.
@@WelshAmethystGirl087 To each their own I guess, but I still stand by those goats being one of the worst things ever and why would the film try to be like the guardians, when the film barely even has them.
The "Call the axe" scene is my favorite part of the movie!
Fun Fact: This is the first Thor solo movie where Loki does NOT make a physical appearance (though he is mentioned on the back of Thor's tattoos).
The Hammer can only be lifted by the Worthy, no such spell was ever made for Stormbreaker
Guns N' Roses are the best thing about this movie. And special effects.
8:42 that was epic :D
That’s his real daughter
A pretty good movie. Personally, I could have used a little more Gor, a little more Guardians of the Galaxy, and a bit less Guns n Roses.
His hammer or the hammer totally remember Thor's words
The hammer called to jane foster. Because she is worthy
I like love and thunder but my biggest problem is that its 3 movies in 1, i like all 3 movies but because they are cram they don't get time to breath and they just leave me wanting more of each
I like taika waitit comedy and i wouldn't mind another Ragnarok
I really enjoy the scenes of thor and Jane and would love to have more time to develop it
I love the portrayal of Gor in the movie but he is rob of time and we don't get much of him
I think this should have been a 2 parter i know marvel only done that with infinity war/end game but this movie could have benefited so much from it
A first part with mostly comedy and thor and jane reconnecting with gor in the background and a second part with Gor in the for front killing Gods and the end of jane and thor love story
Its a lot of ifs and i know taika style is not for everyone but thats fine, movies that try to grab everyone often fail its better to have an specific audience in mind and cather to them
It means rock beats scissors lol
That's christian Bale
50:00 Nah, No one except Steve Rogers, Jane, Vision, Hella and Odin himself were worthy to use the Hammer. The Axe is not enchanted with worthiness spell so anyone can use it but they won't have the power of Thor unless he wills it to happen.
I just realized that Love is Chris Hemsworth's daughter in real life.
Thor should have aimed at Zeus's head just like Thanos.
29:36 it symbolises that rock beats scissors
Storm breaker was meant too be the greatest weapon on Asgard. Etrie ..
I watched the movie I missed the part where he told his hammer to always protect Jane wow
Gorr’s daughter, is played by Chris Hemsworth’s daughter
Do you plan on finishing the movies/shows on Patreon at least? Please!
hes on a chair of scissors because rock beats scissors
5:52 _Hey Paul!_
The scissors were for the rock paper scissors joke....get it?
I really don't like calling Jane "A Thor." It's literally his name, not a superhero title. A Spider-Man, sure, but if Jake got powers and used his real name, somebody else named Timothy can't just call themselves Super Jake.
thor !!!!!!!!
you must be a city slicker through and through. Goats scream like that all the time. yes they sound human.
😂
" hilariously bad..." if u liked this movie u dont like marvel in the real way...
Is “dead zombie” redundant? 😂
a fun movie at the very least
Wow they really butchered Thor in this. Turned him into a joke. No wonder this movie tanked. Yea, I doubt there are going to be anymore movies. Chris Hemsworth won't come back unless there are a lot of changes and that isn't looking likely.
It should be illegal to be as pretty as you are
57:01 Dwayne... a rock guy...
Dwayne The Rock Johnson?
C’mon, Collette. Rock beats scissors. :-)
P.S., she's worthy
This movie changed Gorr The God Butcher to Gorr the Kids Kidnapper ....😑
Jane is worthy.
