I'd say have Cena focus on any boos, to the point of paranoia. His literal chant was "Let's go Cena; Cena sucks". Have him hyperfocus on anybody that boos him and use that as an excuse for distraction.
In Cena's case I don't think that would be a problem, though I see where you're coming from. The Cena hating was a life force in of itself by that point, like the 'You Suck' chants for Kurt Angle, teasing a proper heel turn wouldn't have stopped it. Only thing I would change is have Punk beat Rock at the rumble, and have to go into a triple threat with Cena, Rock and Punk at Mania, like originally planned. IMO it’ll make the story come full circle.

I really like this. WWE have seemed to play with their own established meta more the past decade. Right now it’s usually just in the form of an insider term finding it’s way into a promo or real life events being vaguely referenced. This (assuming the crowd actually does bite the way Adam anticipates) is genius. Since the age of the internet it’s seemed there’s two realities. The one we “hardcore” fans live in and the reality that encompasses the actual show itself. That disconnect is toxic. Stories like this (especially coming off of summer of punk and leading into the yes movement) would really have helped foster a better environment for fans for the future. If you’re going to manipulate the audience….really manipulate them. Don’t beg us to cheer a guy who isn’t ready. Don’t beg us to boo the most relatable characters. Remain a step ahead and use the audience to elevate your world instead of building it in spite of us.
Good job! I'd like to Adam do a rebooking of a WCW angle. He did one a few years ago (Bret Hart in WCW), so it'd be fun to see him do another. And there is a goldmine of potential in WCW's history.
Unlike Adam I would actually like to see this babyface version of Cena or more accurately the tweener version of Cena. Who no longer believes in the fans but still is a genuine babyface fighting for himself or other he consider allies. That is more interesting than any heel turn could ever provide a babyface in disbelief that's interesting.
You know. You're right, and one of the fundamental missteps of the WWE for the last few years is they mistake turns for character development. Shifting someone into a completely different person rather than growing and expanding the person they are in an organic fashion.
THANK YOU! After not watching wrestling for 5 years (only checking rumble results and watching the wrestlemania Taker matches via youtube) the first episode of Raw I watched had Kane return. I was hyped and felt lucky. So I started watching again and my god I was disappointed. So thank you for this. Much love
The interesting part about all of this is that they basically... DID do this storyline. Just not with Cena versus the Rock, this is in at least the important highlights, what led to Stone Cold vrs the Rock at WM17. Stone Cold needing that victory against the Rock, being willing to go to that dark place to get it despite being not only still the fan favorite, but in his own home town. What you are essentially doing here is working towards a Stone Cold turn at 17 that instead of killing the business because it wasn't the right time for Stone Cold to go heel, you're working towards something the fans so -DESPERATELY- wanted at that time, which is at least the hint, the mere acknowledgement alone that Cena is not a good person, is not the goodie two shoes that the WWE wanted him to look like to the fans, and having to deal with that. The only problem I have with this particular booking is that due to him always losing, it would almost make more sense for it to be Cena vs Kane at the next Wrestlemania, not the Rock. The switchover from Kane to Rock would be hard to do. Not impossible, but that handoff in opponents would need to be done correctly, and Kane would have to go on to an equally interesting storyline or people would just start to wonder why the first person he wouldn't want to kill on his match back would be the person he never got one up on, the person who wounded his dad, Kane.
I like that the endpoint to this calls back to wrestlemania X7 with Austin saying "I need to beat you Rock", it's a nice bit of history repeating itself
So basically, this is booking of Cena is similar to how AEW booked Hangman Page: failing at huge opportunities and showing the mental and emotional toll it takes on you, especially in Cena's case where half of the fanbase dislikes you. That probably could have brought some of the hardcore fans back on his side.
I loved it. Personally, with all of the negativity in the world, I'd prefer to see Cena overcome the hate and rise above it. However, I still want your Cena returns heel story you did a while ago.
Adam, you need to tackle the stalker angle. You don't need to have DDP in it, but, whatever you do, it is an angle that is crying out for a rebooking. ...Unless you want to tackle "WCW As A Separate Brand", but, that's just crazy.
I know my comment will most likely go unnoticed but Adam’s referencing of DC,Batman etc. Really makes me want the How They Should Have Made Series to come back from WhatCulture, I think he only did 4 videos in that series and I genuinely loved them. So it probably wouldn’t happen and this isn’t really the channel for it either, but I would love it, probably the only one but you know.

The saddest part about this brilliant booking is that the "powers that be" wouldn't understand the nuances behind it. The baiting of the crowd, the logical human reaction from Cena to a hateful audience. It's fantastic.

“Woo woo woo You roll it. OOOH!!!! Can I? Can I?”
Adam doesn't realize that he basically made John Cena with a similar booking to Kazuchika Okada in 2018.
Embrace the hate is like the John Cena version of "the dark side of hulkamania" except the actual heel turn that it teased never came.
Much love
Good job! Embrace the love.
2 Suggestions for Fantasy Booking:
Fantasy Booking: Dean Ambrose’s WWE Title Reign
Fantasy Booking: Dolph Ziggler Backlash 2016 - WRESTLEMANIA 33
I like that the endpoint to this calls back to wrestlemania X7 with Austin saying "I need to beat you Rock", it's a nice bit of history repeating itself
I’ve been looking forward to this
Adam seems to know how to book things as if he has a finger on the pulse of wresting fans. Especially here.
Listen here Plumpy, the multi verse of Blampied is incredible
"I need to beat you Rock" said the babyface
So basically, this is booking of Cena is similar to how AEW booked Hangman Page: failing at huge opportunities and showing the mental and emotional toll it takes on you, especially in Cena's case where half of the fanbase dislikes you. That probably could have brought some of the hardcore fans back on his side.
Good job. That's it. ❤️
I think this is your best rebooking ever
i love it but what happened to kane kinda just got forgotten about
Team hell no
I loved it. Personally, with all of the negativity in the world, I'd prefer to see Cena overcome the hate and rise above it. However, I still want your Cena returns heel story you did a while ago.
As soon as I saw this in the notifications I knew he would bring John Sr. into this.
I'd love to see Adam book Bray Wyatt vs Jeff Hardy. I just want to it end with the Fiend fighting against Willow.
I can't believe you just called me a callus brick
Rewatching Adams videos has taught me one thing, WWE has a severe lack of commitment to long term booking 😂😂
Good job, Adam. Good Job.
My ideas for what Adam should book next:
The WWE World Cup
Braun Strowman
Rusev Day
EC3
205 Live!
WWE's entire tag team division this year
SummerSlam 2021;
But what I really like to see is Adam playing a wrestling booking simulator just to see how he would fair putting his ideas in play.
Interested video. Also can you do how I would book Raw 2021
I've been watching Adam's booking videos since whatculture and this booking is one of the best ones he's ever done I love this
This shows that Adam and Whatculture are on great term. That's great!
Also, let's be real, you are cuter than Cleary.
Idc about him and WhatCulture, I want to know about him and Cultaholic
Him staying face works later too right? He thought he had resolved his issues but then Wyatt comes along and Cena turns heel at mania 30.
_How Adam would book…_ *Finn Balor's Universal Title reign?*
(the first ever Universal Title reign from SummerSlam 2016, in a scenario where Balor does NOT get injured)..
At first I did want to watch this one. I've now watched it 5 times. Wwe needs you as a writer
good job, Adam *headpats*
The saddest part about this brilliant booking is that the "powers that be" wouldn't understand the nuances behind it. The baiting of the crowd, the logical human reaction from Cena to a hateful audience. It's fantastic.
Adam *mentions how the built in scowl built in and how it shouldn't be there because it ruins the effectiveness*
Also Adam *says the original Kane mask didn't have that problem*
Editors *Shows picture of OG Kane mask CLEARLY showing the molded in scowl the mask had...*
Adam should rebook the Mysterio and Rollins feud
The never-ending feud
So glad I found this channel. Adam sir you and everyone on the channel are just fantastic. Love you dude. Good job.
Me thinks Adam should make a line of fragrances named after salty emotions
“Resentment”, by Blampiéd
“Melancholy”, by Blampiéd
“Insidious”, by Blampiéd
If you want to have the fused "Cena Sr." work gotta it like a Massachusetts person.
"Ceen-yuh." That's how it works.
This is actually great. Good job
CM Punk's final 3 year run with the WWE. (Money in the Bank 2011 thru 2014). That ought to be interesting 🤔to hear and see 👀from your perspective. Great stuff as usual by the way. Always a big fan of your work Adam.
Good job Adam! But on a serious note your videos are always so amazing and so much fun to watch
WhatCulture references two videos in a row?
Adam to return to WhatCulture CONFIRMED!
Never forget the funniest thing on UA-cam on the WhatCulture version "woo woo woo, you roll it"
For a 500k subscriber special Adam should book all of wwe history
Should do a part 2 of this where John does turn heel in the end and where that goes from there
Adam mentioning WhatCulture & Adam is like WWE mentioning AEW & Tony Khan. It’s crazy. Well idk if that fits cuz I don’t know what channel is bigger. I’d assume Parts FunKnown being as they have better production.
I Haven’t Started The Video Yet But Kane Is One Of My Favorites & I Always Felt He Should’ve Got A Monster Push When He Remasked So It’s Awesome To See Another Persons Perspective On How They Would’ve Booked Resurrected Kane And The Fact It’s Adam Is So Clutch🙌Alright Back To The Video☺️
Good Job Adam! You deserve a sticker ☀️
Good job! Honestly one of your best ones mate.
Since you asked so nicely. Good job!
Good Job
I’m ngl I got so excited when I saw this video was out
Good job Adam! Also CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan as a main event is all we ever wanted whether its Raw or Wrestlemania! jam that jam
